    That sounds dangerous I think getting out of the line of fire sounds smarter. We see Marasi use her ability to trap people in slow time at least twice but that's about all I can think of.

    Mist of the correct symbol does appear when Kaladin summons Syl in WoR. I believe it does so again. I also think Pattern does something similar when summoned.

    Honor was rather busy keeping Odium from escaping Braize he is also incapable of breaking promises. If he forgot to make Herald immortality conditional then it would remain weather he wanted it or not.

    Oathpact was broken by 9 of 10 Heralds several thousand years previously. I doubt Honor was happy about it. The Recreance was not what caused Honor to die.
