  1. Those thrones could be the 10 Silver Kingdom thrones not the ones that Bondsmiths are supposed to sit on.
  2. This page is too good to let die.
  3. But neither Amaram nor Aesudean had any inherent powers at all. My theory is that he instead burns through you like a hot coal rapped in tissue paper. Your emotions dictate the actions in this state but the human body is realy not designed for this.
  4. WoR. “Five foot six inches,” Shallan said. “I suspect that’s all I will ever be up to, unfortunately.”
  5. "Anyone still at home?" Asked Luther poking around. "I need to learn the basic sword stances."
  6. Remember this is the cosmere. Death does not happen immediately and those guys died barley a minute ago. Their aspects have probably not completely separated yet.
  7. Why do you have an upvote on nothing?
  8. Could you find that quote? I only remember the 10 thrones for the silver kingdom leaders. Different types of knowledge. I always saw Paliah as more Techne(practical knowledge with immediate use like engineering, medicine, and geometry) and Battar as more Episteme(more esoteric knowledge whose use is less straightforward and immediate like sociology, philosophy, and some kinds of mathematics).

I am not sure if the fused can bond spren like that. At this point the fused themselves are basically spren and we have scene nothing like a spren being bonded to another spren. Also, killing the fused would not deprive the spren of its experiences or goals. It may be traumatic for the spren but Syl says they usually get over it.
  10. Release date changed to June 26th?
  11. Well Odium the shard realy can't be destroyed. It can be splintered, invested, or moved but it is a fundamental part of our universe so that tells us basically nothing.
  12. I am guessing that they can also be used as mobile field commanders of ordinary soldiers. Their ancient role struck me as more advisory. We don't know what Radiant governance was like but I always imagined it required a great deal of compromise and consensus. Vedel's order are healers. From what we can tell Pailiah's order did seem to be scholars. Taln's order were defiantly soldiers.
  13. Please don't be a hoax please don't be a hoax please don't be a hoax. Come on! Focus your Alar people!

Perhaps that is the answer. Spren cannot break oaths no matter which shard created them. Spren in bonds gain the capability to grow and change. Odium is rather single minded in his goals and any voidspren going rogue is one less ounce of investiture that he has at his disposal. Perhaps when he creates a sapient spren he makes them swear to forgo bonding and to obey him in all things. This deprives his soldiers of blades but it means that Odium retains all of his investiture in free form.
  15. I wish we knew something about Chana but it feels like we know less about her then anyone else!

I personally think that this is because Odium wants to be able to recall them latter. Remember, his MO is to keep as much of his investiture free as possible. Perhaps we would have trouble recalling his spren into himself if they are bonded.
  17. Amen. I also think he can. Found a nation Go to the moon Destroy a sun by punching it(he has f-pewter right?).

    There are fully sapient voidspren.
  19. That was the ancient perspective I was talking about the modern ones. I think that their is a difference. Lirin knows exactly what killing entails and what it means. Kaladin can kill because he decided not to be a surgeon. Lirin has devoted his life to healing others.
  20. Close but no cigar.

Good question. I actually have never thought of this. Perhaps Odium's godmetal is to brittle to make a good blade or perhaps it is because Odium desires all of his investiture to remain free and solidifying any of it risks it falling into enemy hands and leaving him in the same position as Ruin was with atium.
  22. I believe their is also a WoB stating that the Oathpact is only tangentially related to what is holding Odium which would indicate otherwise. As in Odium could breakout possibly without even bothering to destroy the Oathpact.
  23. But by that logic the shades will get made at anyone who preforms say a blood transfusion. I have no evidence that this is the case and you are free to disagree but the idea that the shades care about what happens to dead things strikes me as slightly silly.
  24. Sure because it lets his army out but Shadows of Self Lansing signing (Oct. 13, 2015) Questioner So Odium is trapped on a planet near Roshar. Now that Talenelat is no longer being bound wherever he's at, does that mean that Odium's imminence is-- Brandon Sanderson Taln still is keeping to the Oathpact. So there is that. But [Odium's] being bound is greater than the Oathpact
