Alloy steel is steel that is alloyed with a variety of elements in total amounts between 1.0% and 50% by weight to improve its mechanical properties. Alloy steels are broken down into two groups: low alloy steels and high alloy steels. The difference between the two is disputed. Smith and Hashemi define the difference at 4.0%, while Degarmo, et al., define it at 8.0%.[1][2] Most commonly, the phrase "alloy steel" refers to low-alloy steels. Strictly speaking, every steel is an alloy, but not all steels are called "alloy steels". The simplest steels are iron (Fe) alloyed with carbon (C) (about 0.1% to 1%, depending on type). However, the term "alloy steel" is the standard term referring to steels with other alloying elements added deliberately in addition to the carbon. Common alloyants include manganese (the most common one), nickel, chromium, molybdenum, vanadium, silicon, and boron. Less common alloyants include aluminium, cobalt, copper, cerium, niobium, titanium, tungsten, tin, zinc, lead, and zirconium. Read Sanderson's laws on making magic systems if you have not already.

You have listed many of the proposed solutions. Let me see. Taln is still an oathpact member. If you could send him back to braize with an army to defend him and had a way of getting fresh bodies for said army it might hold longer.

Or shades or Taldain's darkside or whatever the evil is... I don't think the other powers work through the CR. It is called surgebinding binding and connections are part of the SR. Not that many. Alomancy is fairly rare even among nobility and there are only 20 inquisitors or so. You only need to worry about inquisitors and seekers really and only if the seekers are actively burning and can detect Lightweaving(Lightweaving is actually quite quiet). Koloss only use swords. Not true. Elend and Vin both say that they can't get the koloss to do much beyond go their and fight. Maybe you can micromanage with enough soothers but in that case you can just have ranged weapon people pick those guys off. If you have infrastructure. So its a bad idea that won't work either way? But the Rosharans also have superior mobility in most cases. Airlifting Radiants FTW! Lightweavers are pretty good at getting away. None of those combat teams have ever worked. People in plate are stronger.

Expand this. The limitations of the magic system are important to your world both socially and economically. People in world are also going to be extremely interested in this. What kind of materials are null? Why? Are there commonalities? Depends on the type of steel. Great magic system. Look forward to hearing more about it.

I could be completely wrong but don't some of these technically break ketek rules?

Moral Miscalculations of Mr. Sanderson in Oathbringer

Be careful. Fanfics can be dangerous. -
[OB] Kaladin & Jasnah: the case for Political Marriage
Karger replied to ZenBossanova's topic in Stormlight Archive
It is not really. -
He seams to be currently working against plan A. If plan B interferes with plan A then you have made a big mistake.

This also indicates that Cultivation is using the diagram. I am not sure if this is a good or bad thing.

The intent itself cannot change. The interpretation eventually can as Saze's willpower breaks down and the shards exert themselves more thoroughly. No actually he is holding one shard made up of both Ruin and Preservation. He has a single dual intent. He has to preserve and destroy at the same time. Kind of a yin yang situation. Saze is able to accurately wield this shard because he recognizes the complimentary nature of opposite forces. Accept only Sazed's willpower effects the shard. Other people can imagine Harmony as they wish but Saze is the one who actually keeps that power on a leash. I think Cal got this one.

What is Jasnah's Problem with the Visual Arts?
Karger replied to not an Evil Librarian's topic in Stormlight Archive
The type of art Shallan wanted to show Jasnah was her person drawing. Jasnah largely thought this useless as a skill until she realized how Shallan used it to capture her so accurately. -
You don't need to look into the SR to use cohesion. So conceivably could the scadrians, What? Koloss sound pretty useless against shardblades. They are great for mobility and easy to supply but there effectiveness against trained soldiers has never been shown. I would hazard a guess that it is in fact quite limited since they rely so heavily on strength and lack any teamwork.

Candidates For the Six Remaining Shards (A Simple Theory)
Karger replied to a topic in Cosmere Discussion
Not the entire shard. However justice requires some of his "coldness" in my view. -
Maybe Ruin just had a thousand years to concentrate on him and they gradually became more and more connected. It is not like Ruin had much else to do.

There would likely be a size and possibly a shape and coloration difference. Shards do a disproportionate damage to shardplate. Dalinar was a thrill addict. Sanderson mentions Syl helping Kaladin avoid it. The bulk of the final empire's troops in this scenario are underfed and not particularly loyal. Roshar is a different matter. Coheasion not soulcasting. There are only so many coinshots and lurchers and I don't expect them to last long against Windrunners.

Perhaps they are like chameleons but more malleable somehow?

Does Ham(Mistborn era 1) have an honorific the way Breeze, Vin, and Tindwyl do?
-
I mean an honorific. Even the intern Preserver Spook gets two! I suppose this goes on questions to ask Brandon then

I don't think she knew much about Jof's temperament until after talking to Sansa. She could not back out so she killed him and moved on to the next son. I approve. Laughs slightly.

I would not. Makes sense.
