  1. Welcome. Live chats are more of a discord thing. That being said roleplaying is pretty fast. Also double making threads is frowned upon. What exactly are you looking for?
  2. That would ruin your peripheral vision. I do think that you have some time or a photographic memory you might be able to do something along these lines if you are standing still(although a perceptive person is going to notice things you can't do much about like shadow or maybe just a general fuzz. However if you are doing your invisibility and someone runs through the area behind you I don't think you can lightweaving to preprogram the illusion to include someone you have never seen before. I think Khriss also mentions in her essay that you need a Connection to the person whose form you want to use as an illusion.
  3. I believe that the prevailing theory is that Renarin is using the voidish version of illumination. That being said everyone and their mother has their own theory and Brandon is helpfully RAFOing every question. I personally do think he is using voidbinding. That being said some other shenanigans are obviously going on just because this is Brandon.
  4. I agree that Shallan can make reactive illusions however without direct constant supervision and a perpendicularity we have never seen them react or move on a scale required to cover every side and angle. There is another problem with invisibility though. Shallan's illusions are not one sided. If you make yourself unnoticeable from all sides you will blind yourself.
  5. That would be BA.
  6. I see no reason why this could not just be a disguise self form. Maybe. My point is that Shallan cannot make a constantly changing image. Several times she makes images without sketching but she always makes something. Under some terrain you might be able to do various kinds of camouflage but actual invisibility requires that you constantly update the image to always cover what is on every side of you. If some one walks past you must be able to project them at exactly the right place from every angle simultaneously. We lightweavers are impressive but even we cannot work from every angle at the same time.
  7. I personally don't think they should. The slave bands are a reminder of a leader's responsibility. I don't want Kaladin to loose that.
  8. Yes but physical damage is not what scares her. I don't think so. 1. True invisibility is kind of OP. 2. From what we have seen with Lightweaving you need an actual image of what you are making.
  9. Depends. If this is the only way Odium can get his freedom he might not have a choice.
  10. 76%!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  11. Braize is only inhabited by the fused though so I would advise not going there. Also Ashyn's ground level is uninhabitable. The only civilization is in floating cities that I very much look forward to seeing. Maybe in theory. Both the fused and the Heralds do travel those worlds so it might be possible for the spren to do so as well. This does indicate the theoretical possibility of Radiants on both worlds except no humans exist on Braize(contrary to Vorin teachings that this is where the dammed go) and Ashyn has its own magic system.
  12. I could point out that she only explicit mentions the roles of scholar and wife both of which are traditional vorin roles for women but again the point is moot since we all agree this is not going to happen.
  13. This is technically possible but I think it could get uncomfortable having the extra mass of the wings. Also I see no real advantage over just steal jumping the old fashioned way. Yes but it would be hard to maneuver.
  14. The assumption is that everyone in the SA thread has read all of stormlight. The only time you need a spoiler tag is when a new SA novel is out. This tag must be in place for the first 6 months of the new novel's publication. However it has been longer then that since Oathbringer.
  15. Agreed. Or maybe have Iyatil play the two of them (Shallan and Mraize)against each other as a test. We could learn a lot about them both and one of them will die. I do think that you are overstating Jasnah's public stances on the role of women in the modern world. Still I find myself doubting we have anything to be worried about on this front anyway so it is kind of a moot point.
  16. Which one? The fused are bound to the Rosharan system.
  17. This is somewhat more believable. It does however beg a few questions such as. Why stop at around 10. Why not go further? Make thousands of weird crossbreeds?
  18. I am pretty sure he writes Novellas when the major works are going through editing or while he is on tour. I don't think they slow him down significantly.
  19. Or at least less developed. I do think one of them will die though.
  20. Doesn't Dalinar say something like "with terms to be discussed" which would imply that if not specifically included nothing stops them?
  21. It is not like we have the actual rules to work with here.
  22. My main problem is that we have absolutely no accounts of strangely shaped Radiants running around. You would think that at least a few hand an extra hand or something. This is the type of thing that people tend to remember. Also Brandon prefers to subtly hint at things like this. I don't really see that happening.
