  1. I was just pointing out that the argument and the counterargument are both on a level playing field.
  2. Out of curiosity. Is their anything that prevents them from keeping the spren in an airtight aluminum box and just moving it to a different location?
  3. Brandon has also not decided on weather shardblades can get thin enough to cut through metal without issue so that is an equally iffy argument.
  4. I am still confused as to why anyone supported him or why Greyworm did not just immediately kill Tyrion and Jon.
  5. I think the listeners and specifically Eshonai were just naturally good at languages. The ones they met were in workform so no voidbinding could have been going on based on how we know voidbinding to work(you need a form of power). It is possible that due to a lack of literacy and a standardized language they more often communicated with people who spoke very different dialects and as such were better at that kind of communication.
  6. I mean everything is. Even eating food has actual realmatics involved. Excepting a role as a champion could certainly alter your sense of self enough to make a minor change to your identity and it might make more people or a shard think of you as theirs and that would change your connection. However I do not think we currently have any evidence for anything as major as an actual magical definition.
  7. The radiant would have to be able to hold the tools. Remember they can't use their hands and the human jaw is not great for this kind of thing(although I suppose we could muzzle them as well). Some kind of careful heating combined with the right tools should get rid of the manacles. Even if they can I don't think they could cut aluminum. Aluminum creates an anti investiture field. Spren are investiture. It would be like running into a force field.
  8. Humans can remove them with the correct tools. Aluminum is a soft metal. Aluminum is resistant to all investiture. The spren should not be able to pass into the hand of the prisoner.
  9. The tower has a shear face. Think how long it would take to climb half a mile strait up and if you have aluminum bound hands then you can't manifest a blade or climb easily. Just melt off the chains with conventional means when needed.
  10. It has a shear side. A Windrunner mentions that they enjoy falling down it in the gemstone archive.
  11. They have a tower that is over a half mile tall.
  12. So? It still has limits. Enough damage and it will break just like anything else. We don't know the limits of live plate. Also I think the radiant themselves took the damage and then summoned plate and they likely were falling from a specific height they new would not strain things.
  13. In stages. He crashes through several levels in doing so and his plate is almost gone by the time he gets there. Just a little farther and he would be dead.

    Ruin

    Ati's name.
  15. I pictured them is these huge grey blades that seem almost crude.
  16. Karger

    Ruin

It is clear in Mistborn Secret History and then it is mentioned briefly in Way of Kings if you look closely.
  17. It happens. Great minds and all that.
  18. Shardplate could break that but it would not allow them to survive the fall. Dalinar explains to Adolin that antishardbearer systems include making them fall and crack their plate. High enough and it shatters and kills the radiant. Heck Aluminum shackles might prevent proper plate manifestation and then normal prison+aluminum walls would work.
  19. Are you asking if a radiant can get out of any prison? The answer to that seem like a no. Suspend them in a cage several hundred feet in the air without any stormlight. Make the box out of aluminum.
  20. It takes time for troops to get into formation after crossing. If you don't have enough time to get things in order your lines can buckle.
  21. I think that was something of a near simultaneous arrival IE they got there first by a minute or two but did not have time to fully entrench themselves.
  22. Welcome! Elend is also literally me. Especially on dates.
  23. Aladar was successful in 1/3 assaults. I do not think parshendi can usually take a plateau from an entrenched alethi army who have better training, armor and weapons and can sustain higher casualties. As such I would say that parshendi nearly always make it there first.
  24. Then she would not be able to interact with anyone in a meaningful way although an immortal Marasi is fun.
  25. Brandon avoided this in the others by plotting them all like a trilogy.
