Narrator Lunamor took a seat on the porch in a rocking chair that mysteriously appeared beneath her. -
Jenny nearly barreled into Edgar as she ran back towards Medusa. As she moved, a thought occurred to her. She yelled out to the other demigods. ”Don’t turn Medusa into plants, I need her blood!” She got low, attempting to preemptively get under the gorgon’s swings and out of range of her snakes. She slashed Sword in front of her, aiming for where she assumed the legs would be. It took her a few tries before her blade connected with something and she heard a hiss of pain. Jenny smiled, standing straight and preparing to strike again. She gave a hiss of pain herself as she felt several tiny fangs sink into her shoulder. The monster’s hissing quieted for a moment, then returned with a renewed force as the snakes withdrew their fangs from her flesh.

Lunamor was now becoming slightly concerned. This health inspector, there was no way he had four twins. Perhaps it was some strange Lightweaver magic. He ignored their waves, instead glancing at them with a strange look. He wasn’t sure if he believed her, but her promise was good enough. ”All orders cost one story.”

“No, sorry!” Something slashed through the air and Jenny instinctively moved Sword to catch it. She could hear- and feel- talons screeching against metal. While the noise was brief, it rattled her bones. The effort of blocking Medusa’s strike sent her stumbling back a few feet. @RoyalBeeMage @..... @Scars of Hathsin

Jenny’s footsteps became softer as the ground morphed from wood into dirt. She didn’t have the time to wonder why. Mid-run, she yelled at who sounded like Rob. ”She’s in here, close your eyes!” A few steps later, she had closed the distance between herself and Medusa. As she blindly swung Sword out in front of her, she felt it maybe make contact with something. There was a ripping of fabric and a harsh hiss, at least. She heard the hissing get louder and ducked. The sound of many tiny jaws snapping came from where Jenny’s head had been. She realized that, with Gift as sunglasses, Edgar wouldn’t have a weapon. He’d be defenseless. Luckily, Jenny had several backup weapons on her person. Her preparations would finally come in handy. ”Hey Edgar, want a dagger?” @Weaver of Lights @RoyalBeeMage

Lunamor held the woman’s order, not placing it down quite yet. He peered under her hood, trying to get a good looked at her face, and attempted to see if she was actually carrying candles. “Before you eat, you must promise to not to hawk your wares in my establishment.” He was tempted to simply ask her to leave, but he couldn’t turn down a paying customer. @Through The Living Glass

Jenny prepared to dash towards the hissing sounds, wanting to get to Medusa before she had the chance to change position. She needed to do all she could to mitigate her lack of sight. She was incredibly grateful that Edgar had tackled her- it could have gone very wrong very quickly had he not. Unfortunately, there was no time to check and see if anyone else had been turned to stone. There wasn’t anything she could do to help them if that was the case, anyways. She took the first step forwards, holding Sword like it was a heat-seeking missile. Hopefully the snakes couldn’t bite. @Weaver of Lights @Scars of Hathsin @Whoever else wants to fight

Jenny shut her eyes, mildly dazed and very confused. She drew Sword and waved her free hand out in front of her to make sure she didn’t accidentally stab Edgar. Scrambling to her feet, she held out her dagger in a ready position towards where she thought Auntie Em was. ”What’s going on?!” Was that hissing she heard? Realization struck Jenny like a cobra. The statues with scared faces, the veil, her name literally being the letter m. This was Medusa. She answered her own question. ”Medusa.” @RoyalBeeMage

Lunamor nodded tersely. At least she was polite. He shot a glare in John’s direction, trying to silently chastise him for attempting to purchased goods from an intruding merchant. @RoyalBeeMage

I want Red Dead Redemption 2 for the Switch, it’s basically my only console and my tiny pc can barely run Skyrim.

The Seiche is a cool-sounding water related name. Lake Erie gets seiches (standing waves) that can be up to 16 feet tall. (Googling random stuff for this rp has been weirdly educational)

Lunamor gave a long, drawn out sigh. Great. Another traveling merchant here to hawk her wares. They didn't seem to have any shame. Airsick lowlanders had no respect for basic decency sometimes. He straightened his apron, fighting off a scowl. Lunamor walked stiffly over to the seller. "This restaurant, he is not for selling wares. Only paying customers are allowed. You must buy stew or a drink. " He crossed his arms. "My patrons, they are not to be bothered with offers for overpriced candles."

Adding onto this after thinking some more, Plastique would be a part of Fish's faction so long as he is regularly paying her for stuff. Also, if his faction is the largest, then she would pick it. She wants to be part of whichever group is currently most powerful. @Aeternum

I’m pretty sure eating cookies made of plastic explosives would kill Plastique, but that’s not likely exclusive to her

I’ve been thinking about Plastique‘s powers a bit more. Y’all please let me know if any of it sounds unbalanced. She can choose for her attire to be absorbed into her blob form, and it reforms properly when she solidifies. Anything not considered “attire” can’t be absorbed but can be carried around. She can melt individual parts of her body if wanted (ex. melts everything but an arm to hold a gun while in blob form). When fully melted, she could have a general sense of where things are but not clear sight unless she doesn’t melt her eyes (this is where her enhanced reflexes would be handy). Unmelted body parts are more vulnerable and healing them requires absorbing roughly equivalent materials needed to reconstruct them while in blob form (ex. a human hand or chicken carcass to replace a lost hand). When fully blobbed, she can survive underwater indefinitely but can’t swim. Her speed when melted is the same as her unmelted form’s. Now that I’m thinking of it, her blob state is similar to a boneless kandra with the consistency of (Calamity spoilers)
