“It glows in the presence of death. My dad gave it to me.” She held up the ruby so he could get a better look. The red light lit up her face and she squinted. ”Pretty neat, right?”
-
Jenny’s pocket began glowing. Taking out her ruby, she found that it was shining brightly. It almost hurt her eyes to look at it. She scanned over the other demigods who had decided to go on the excursion for food. No one seemed to be dead. “There might be a graveyard here.” She tapped her ruby, making sure that it wasn’t malfunctioning. Odd that a gnome emporium would be near a graveyard. Maybe the soil was extra fertile for gardens. Jenny was impressed by the statues. Whoever had made them was talented. She poked one in the eye to check if it was simply someone pretending to be a statue. It was solid stone.

“Yeah. I think people are scared of me sometimes. Many are very uncomfortable with death. The sea seems pretty terrifying too.” Kasa didn’t seem to be upset. Jenny couldn’t know for sure, however. She decided to assume the best. “I like being able to do stuff like necromancy, though. It’s fun.” It was unfortunate that she didn’t have any corpses to reanimate. There wouldn’t be much other than roadkill, and that tended to be too… squished for reanimation to be successful. @RoyalBeeMage

Indeed. How many potatoes do you need to make a pancake?

“Hades.” Jenny was rather nervous telling Kasa that. Many people quit talking to her once they found out who her dad was. Maybe Kasa would be nice about it. She’d probably still judge her for it regardless, but Jenny wouldn’t blame her; everyone judged her.
-
Jenny nodded, carefully committing Kasa’s words to memory. She untucked her shirt slightly but refrained from letting her hair down. She didn’t want to deal with a panicked Roy. ”Thank you.” She paused awkwardly for a moment. Jenny wanted to be friends with Kasa. As the only other girl and child of the Big Three on the quest, she figured that they could relate to each other. ”What’s it like being a Poseidon kid?” Kasa probably got asked that question a lot, but Jenny couldn’t think of anything else to say.
-
Was she making Kasa mad? Hopefully Jenny wasn’t being too much of an annoyance. “Well, you look pretty, so I figured you’d know. You also gave me good advice about my hair.” She looked at the ground, her expression downcast. ”I don’t think an Aphrodite kid would want to talk to me, anyways.”
-
“How do you look pretty?” Jenny felt rather embarrassed asking this question, but seeing how terrible she looked in the photograph had made her a bit self conscious. She wanted to look nice.
-
“Oh, I was trying to figure something out.” She whispered under her breath to Kasa. ”Can I ask you for some girl advice?” Kasa had been honest about how Jenny’s hair looked, so she figured that she could answer her question.

I get a Stoneward to liquify the ground and rescue the sandwich.

Perhaps. I don’t know much about the best things in Switzerland.

Well Luna is another name for the moon, and the moon is in space, so there’s an incredibly tenuous connection. TPBM likes rollercoasters.

Chuck Norris knows how many licks it is to the center of a Tootsie Pop.

They might decide to lock it if my jokes get terrible enough. Speaking of jokes, here’s a classic: Why did the scarecrow win an award?

I note that skill checks do not autofail on a natural one and the gods return the sandwich to me.

I can’t decide if this joke is so-bad-it’s-good or just regular good. Why shouldn’t you tell secrets in a cornfield?
-
I roll a one on a stealth check, but I’m a rogue with reliable talent so I get a stupidly high number anyways and sneakily steal the sandwich.

Thank you!

Jenny set off, careful to avoid moving too quickly. Along the way, she kept stealing glances at Kasa, seeming to look at her kind of funny. @Part Of The Narrative

I take the sandwich from Lift right as she is about to eat it.

It’ll be a while until we discover who the true last poster is (it’s me).

Jenny nodded in agreement with the other two. They needed to eat, especially after that fight. Food was important for energy and recovery. She didn’t move yet, however, instead waiting for the other demigods to weigh in on the decision. Plus, she wanted to put off moving for as long as she could. Jenny was incredibly tired still; using her powers was draining, particularly since she was untrained in how to safely use them. She also liked sitting next to Edgar, his arm around her waist. She'd stay like that for hours if she could. @RoyalBeeMage

Chuck Norris can sit in the corner of a round room.
