Granted. You are overcome with insatiable greed and the economy collapses. I wish for a cicada. -

Here’s $27 in nickels. I have an inability to spell the word nickel, apparently.

‘Tis my win now.

“Umm…” Teaching Ed, and even Aaron, was one thing. They had experience with weapons. Elsie, however, seemed to have almost none. ”Maybe once you get more experience. Tossing knives is already pretty dangerous, and not having much familiarity with weapons makes it even more so. I’d rather not make Jace heal any more today.” Jenny smiled. ”I’d love to teach you once we get back to camp, though!”
-
Jenny proudly held up her dagger so Elsie could get a better look at it. ”This is Sword. It’s pretty great.” She tossed the knife into the air, making it spin before she caught it again. Sometimes being a bit of a showoff could be fun.
-
Hopefully knives would be Elsie’s favorite weapon. That would mean Jenny would maybe get to teach her some stuff. Having decided that it was far too late to avoid drawing attention, she drew Sword. She began to fiddle with it a bit.
-
Jenny leaned back and iced her entire body in an attempt to feel warmer. She made sure to scoot away from Elsie before doing so to avoid making her cold.
-
They were happy tears! Jenny started tearing up too. She didn’t make people this happy very often. Fortunately, Elsie was short enough (I’m assuming) that she wasn’t risking touching Jenny‘s face. “You’re welcome!”
-
“Just while we’re waiting for Lucid and Ashton to get back. I’m not sure if Ed is ok with me lending out Gift too much.” Elsie was tearing up. Jenny couldn’t tell if that meant she was sad or happy. Hopefully she was happy.
-
“For a little while, while we’re waiting. I don’t think you could hurt Gift if you tried. Please don’t try to hurt it, though.” Gift was made of celestial bronze and could return to Jenny on its own if need be. It would be fine. Jenny tried to smile reassuringly.
-
“I don’t think he’ll bother us so long as we’re careful.” She didn’t exactly trust all of the quest members to be careful, but it wouldn’t be particularly comforting to say that out loud. She sat there awkwardly for a moment, then held out Gift to Elsie. ”It’ll transform into whatever you want if you hold it. Within reasonable limits.”

Jenny deflated when Kasa left. She hadn’t noticed Terrance leave, but eventually noticed his absence. Kasa must’ve gone after him. She also noticed that Elsie was by herself. Was she sad? It was hard to tell. Jenny decided to assume that she was. She liked Terrance, and he’d left again. She walked over to Elsie and sat next to her. ”Are you ok?” @Random Bystander

Jenny was heavily tempted to freeze the droplet, but it looked like Kasa was still trying to grow it. Instead, she just watched with fascination. She was a bit jealous of Kasa’s ability; it would make her cryokineses slightly less irrelevant. Distracted, the frost evaporated from her face.
-
Jenny eventually stuffed Timothy into her bag, Gift curling around her arm. She looked around as well, not spotting anything of interest. She decided to see if she could ice her face. Closing her eyes, she focused on the air around her. She sucked away the heat around her head. When she opened her eyes again, the motion cracked through the layer of frost now covering her face. She grinned, cracking more of it. Despite the ice, she felt warmer.
-
Confused, but mostly placated, Jenny wolfed down the remainder of the fries. She then wound up Timothy and let him walk around the table for a bit. Gift wrapped around him and gave him a metal shell. It made the toy move smoothly and look more realistic. Jenny beamed at it. ”Ed’s really great, I promise.”
-
“Um… is that a compliment or an insult?” Normally people called Jenny crazy when they were trying to be mean, but Kasa seemed like a nice person. Nice people weren’t mean to regular people like Ed.
-
Jenny hungrily ate exactly half of the fries. ”It is!” She held up Gift proudly, and it transformed into a tiny statuette of Kasa. The fine details were rather impressive. She pulled out Timothy, her little wind-up dog toy constructed out of rubble, and set it down on the table. ”And this is Timothy. Ed made him!” She loved the opportunity to show off one of her most prized possessions.
-
The milkshake disappeared at an alarming rate as Jenny drank it. She made sure to leave exactly half for Kasa. She then started at Kasa’s food for a moment. ”…can I have some of your fries?” She felt pretty sheepish. But the fries looked really good.
-
“Hopefully not long.” Jenny glanced over at Ares briefly, hoping he hadn’t heard Kasa’s comment. ”We need to get away from this area soon. The police are bound to catch up with us if we stay any longer.” Gift turned into a fidget spinner. She smiled, then started playing with it.
-
Jenny followed Kasa again. She was smiling, so Jenny smiled too. That probably meant she was happy. She wasn’t bothered by Jenny being there. She’d have to tell Ed about this when he sent an Iris message.
