“I think you should probably go to sleep, Aaron. You used your powers a lot today, and I don’t want you to hurt yourself.” Jenny felt like a bit of a hypocrite, but there was no reason for more than one of them to stay up. Plus, she was really worried about the kid. Using his powers so frequently with little experience could do some serious damage.

Jenny wasn’t sure if he was faking being asleep or not, so she decided to stay awake for the time being. She stifled a yawn, unsure how long she would be able to do that. As the train began to move and chugged past fields full of animals, she quietly whispered each one she saw to herself.

Jenny glanced at Roy, then crossed her arms. She felt like she should say something, but she wasn’t sure what. She didn’t want to be too mean and risk him turning on her, but she also didn’t want to be too nice and risk encouraging him. So, she opted to remain silent.

Jenny speed-walked into the train and went straight to their seats. She plopped down with a sigh. This train ride wouldn’t be as fun without Ed, although she was looking forwards to seeing more animals again. She was on the verge of drifting off, but managed to stay awake. She wanted to make sure everyone was on the train and safe before she slept.

Jenny opened the backpack carefully, worrying that it would explode or something. When it didn’t explode, she announced its contents to the other demigods. Her eyes lit up when she noticed a dagger. “I see.” Jenny looked downwards for a moment, then decided to stop thinking about Eros for the moment. She’d worry about that later. They needed to get this quest done as soon as possible. Maybe they could help find Eros after that.

“Aphrodite lost her kid?” Was he lost-lost or just avoiding her? The idea of Eros going rogue was terrifying. What if he’d shot Lucid and Ashton with an arrow? What if he’d shot Ed? ”Yeah…” Jenny and Ed had only had one life or death experience before falling for each other. Hopefully Kasa was joking. Her laughing probably meant that.

Jenny noticed Kasa start braiding her hair and smiled. That was at least one thing she could relate to her about other than being a big three kid. There wasn’t much that they seemed to have in common, although Jenny generally didn’t have much in common with people. ”I wonder why. Is that… normal?” Ed had been her friend first. She liked that. It wouldn’t be fun to love someone who wasn’t also your friend. Were you supposed to start falling for someone immediately? She hadn’t really even considered it as a possibility for the first few days. And with how Ed had thought about himself, he probably hadn’t either.

Jenny looked over at Lucid and Ashton. ”They did.” She was rather concerned by how quickly they had fallen for each other. It hadn’t been more than a few hours. Maybe Jenny was wrong about how long that was supposed to take. She wasn’t too terribly familiar with this stuff.

Jenny scowled. The god couldn’t wait for a half second for Ashton to get up? Rude. Forcibly stopping herself from clenching her teeth, she walked over to the shield, picked it up, then brought it over to Ares without a word. The sooner they could get this over with the better. She didn’t feel like herself around this guy.

Jenny didn’t know how to help Jace feel better without potentially bothering him, so she just anxiously watched him from where she was. ”I think we should find somewhere to sleep after giving Ares his stuff back. I don’t want to risk anyone else getting injured.” She wasn’t sure that Jace could stay awake much longer after all of the healing he’d done today.
