You know, I really enjoyed reading that. It's a good story, I like it a lot. The only complaint I really have is that the poetic descriptions can be a tad distracting, but they're cool and give the story its own brand. I'm excited to see more.

Something broke inside of Star, sparking a reserve of power. She kicked Xino in the back of the knee, making him fall over, and stepped on his gun hand. "I told you to put it down," she growled.

Star twitched. The look on the mime's face made her cringe. She knew he was one of the bad guys, but she hated to hurt anyone. "Xino," she said. "Put down the gun. He wasn't going to hurt us."

Star's eyes widened and she swallowed. "Xino, Shadow, we have to leave now."

WE GOTTA MAKE THE BEST OF IT! *sits at desk, on the Shard just like literally all summer*

Star laughed heartily, grinning. "Any number of things. And anyway, who's your friend?" she asked, gesturing at Michael.

I am well! Wednesdays are good days, even when it's the last Wednesday of the summer!

Kelsier: Got any doritos? Marsh: ... What? Kelsier: I have appeared to you, oh loyal skaa, for I have made a great discovery. Skaa Worshiper: Will it help us save the world, Lord Survivor? "'The Lord Ruler will kill you. You don't rebel against God in his own city.' The room fell silent. Tense. Vin sat up as Breeze whispered to himself. In the room, Kelsier stood quietly for a moment." Me: Time to pull out the big guns... "Finally, he reached up and pulled back the sleeves on his jacket, revealing the crisscrossed scars on his arms." Me: Who's the fool now?! "'The Lord Ruler is not out god,' he said quietly." Me: That’s right! You are. "'And he cannot kill me. He tried, but he failed. For I am the thing that he can never kill.'" Me: SURVIVAAA!!!!! "With that, Kelsier turned, walking from the room the way he had come." Me: Mic drop. Eat that.

If only I were a comic book artist. I would draw that scene. And it would be glorious. Someone tries to banish him and Silence is just like;

Star took in the scene quickly. At first, her face brightened; seeing Shadow again was a happy occasion. But then... she noticed the bottles. The puddle of vomit, the dark circles under Shadow's eyes. Her face fell and she shook her head. "Oh, Shadow," she muttered under her breath. To Xino, she said, "We're all here. How do we get out?"

After a few minutes, Star found Shadow. "She's just behind that wall," Star said.

Star dashed through the hole, bounding toward Shadow's mental signature. She found herself smiling.

I've tried breaking his neck. It didn't work.

"It's okay. You don't have to speak. Sometimes there's nothing to say."

You know you're a Sanderfamily when your dad calls you an airsick lowlander because you live in Iowa in you're in Utah where the elevation is higher.
