Wow son that was wild! We have no idea but I don't think Kaladin can offer what Adolin can to Shallan however I won't shoot down the ship.
-
I feel like the Shalladin ship may have sailed but I feel like Tarah may come into the story again
-
I read the reddit and sounds like he has most of it done already but needs to go over it and the previous books and tweak and fix to make sure it flows properly which may not take as long as we think unless there is a section that needs massive fixing

This isn't just relevant to just the Stormlight series but also mistborn touches on it, which shows the ups and downs of humanity. The beautifully illustrated characterisation of how a person can seem okay is actually suffering, how mental illness does not just "go" away and how a person can have so many flaws but they aren't defined by them. The aspect of religion is intricately written to portray both the good and bad, thus making me as a spiritual person understand what other people think and how a philosophy does not define a person as I once thought. The culture brings awareness at our own society, showing how it can be silly like a safe hand but culturally significant, thus telling us to be tolerant of others even if we think something is silly. I could go one but I'll sum my points with dot points that provide evidence of what I mean. Characters created to be human being = humans as a whole Characters with mental illness are not defined as someone with depression but by a name Religion having flaws = every religion, Christianity, Judaism, Islamic, all of them have flaws Cultural understanding = Hanuka (if I spelt that right), wearing a Burka, wearing an American flag (I'll be honest, I wanted to quote the religious themes in Mistborn in my religion essay to prove a point and wanted to quote stuff about war and the human suffering from Stormlight, it is academic quote worthy!)

Yeah I did the merchant of Venice, MacBeth, Romeo and Juliet and Hamlet. Must say I loved Hamlet before it got taught to me. My other English teachers were good at teaching the other two. But I really didn't like romeo and juliet though
-
I liked Hamlet until that same teacher ruined it. She over taught it, she was very fluid in mind and constantly changing her opinion of my work so when I stopped giving her my work to read for drafts, I got better marks

What he means is that Szeth has trained with all the honour blades before so he knows how they work so theoretically he would have trained to used the honour blade of a truthwatcher. I didn't realise the honour blades were order based rather than surge based which makes sense
-
Boi, when the 4th book comes out we have to share all we can about Glys and Renarin and truthwatchers and just compile it all into this thread and just see the characterisation and building
-
I like what you're saying especially the outcast concept because in reality any of the spren could have been corrupted but having it be the outcast's spren actually enhances both of them as a character
-
I totally agree with that but we do see some interaction with Glys and Renarin and to me Glys seems just as anxious and insecure as Renarin is
-
About Sja-anat, I don't feel like she is trying to ruin anything, I feel like she was literally "unmade" by Odium and she might be remembering who she was before the unmaking so to get back at him, she is helping the Radiants so she might have "corrupted" Glys but not in a way to hinder him. Because to me Glys appears pretty normal except for the colouring
-
I didn't know that or realise I should say but having Szeth as another anominlie (I can't spell it) it help even more in determining the strangeness of Glys and Renarin
-
I thought honour blades only gave you one surge to use not two but I may be wrong but having the stump there will be really helpful in determining the truthwatcher abilities
-
Oh I didn't realise Szeth did that. I think we need another truthwatcher to be able to compare Renarin to them to see how different they are so we can find where the corruption is
-
You right but you'd still get a lot more Renarin because I think with Venli becoming a Radiant, more about voidbringers will be introduced thus more of Renarin and the fishy situation with Glys
-
I'm going to be so old when his book comes out but it will be worth it to have more about him. After Kaladin, Renarin is my favourite and will be promoted to favourite when I know more
-
True dat. I can't add anymore to that. This is why I am so interested in Renarin's character. His abilities and who he is are just so enticing that I can't stop theorising possible things about him and his order

Surge powers, the essences, and unique Order combinations
Eris replied to Ixthos's topic in Stormlight Archive
I proposed something about spren being related to each surge they are connected with and all that but after reading your thing, other questions popped up in my head. Why are certain orders able to only access two surges, why not one, three or more? Why are they connected in a set order? eg. lightweaver share illumination with truthwatcher while the next order, edgedancers share progression with the truthwatchers. Or was this intentionally done? Along with your Honour/ Cultivation scale which has been proven to be the case (unless my sources were all lies ) Further, why are these surges? Are there only a few surges in existence or are there more? -
Re-read observations and speculation
Eris replied to AnAirSickLowLander's topic in Stormlight Archive
So would that imply that Elhokar's wife may have been part of the ghostbloods because Jasnah was planning to have her assassinated/ watched the night of her father's death? -
Glys is equal parts Honour, Cultivation, and Odium
Eris replied to Ixthos's topic in Stormlight Archive
You are a very intelligent person and I'll look at your thread you posted a link to because I only noticed that when I was on my own thread discussing truthwatcher spren. You post very interesting topics. Keep up the good work. -
They're rips in the sky revealing something so an unnatural phenomena which yeah isn't solid but are they like that in the cognitive realm? (I'm a few pages off finishing Oathbringer). The unusual nature of renarin's power is most likely voidbringing but I refuse to believe it (even if it is the most likely scenario). But as you said with Lift, Renarin, Venli and Danilar they are going to be very unique in terms of radiants

[OB] Book 4 Storyline Predictions and Discussions
Eris replied to TequilaJack's topic in Stormlight Archive
I love the renarin and adolin give themselves up for adoption because true but your predictions, I love them and want them to come true. -
I had to use a secondary character from hamlet so I used Claudius.

I didn’t realise Jasnah was hinting the ghost bloods before her father died -
Thank you man. I loved writing it so much but it was difficult to write in style with Brandon and Shakespeare.
