  1. A hamster ball isn't a weapon XD but maybe a glider/ staff thing like in the last airbender?
  2. Wait wasn't there a mention of a crossbow in OB? Or am I mistaking it for something else I read?
  3. True but Navani is too busy building flying objects. They probably wouldn't see the need for guns yet because to them it might seem like the bow and arrow but more hassle to make
  4. I guess what I'm saying is, it isn't impossible but highly unlikely unless advancement in technology during the gap, leads to its conception
  5. They're not immortal anymore are they? (Also I'm not a big fan of Ash but at least she doesn't seem malicious)
  6. Only then maybe I'l consider her a likeable character
  7. I much prefer Ash over Matala, at least she isn't pretty much on par with Odium. She follows her order too literally, destroy. I have a feeling she may have a corrupted Spren. or even a voidspren
  8. They can barely figure out how to make things float or use efficient messaging technology so gun making is a very low possibility unless they figure it out during the gap
  9. PLease! She seems really fishy and sketchy to me. I don't like that her only reason in joining the Diagram is to destroy. She is like was Odium kinda wants
  10. Omg that's a lol but I don't think guns exist in this world. There technology is medieval, swords, knives, axes
  11. So what type of minor trauma could some other radiants had? Do we know anything about Matala?
  12. oh i see. Maybe... I do remember him saying
  13. I was hoping for more Radiants than what I just mentioned but I didn't realise Lift mentions her mother so often. Lopen has a spren, Rua, and I think he has done a few oaths. Don't quote me on it though
  14. I don't know much about lift but you're probably right and she is orphaned. Maybe she wants to stay young because of her mother?
  15. But it could also be possible she ran away?
  16. I hope everyone is nice or if they're not it is just a misunderstanding of context (which is me so much) I'm along with everyone else are happy you are enjoying your time on the forums. There are a lot theories so someone probably shares it
  17. That is such a good idea. Maybe Sanderson should write about it
  18. Yeah the Jasnah post is what sparked it but I didn't know Lift lost her mother? where is that? And lopen can't fake it, he literally earned it on screen
  19. I see now. Yeah that is really annoying when she does that. Jasnah has a point when she calls her out for it constantly. It's great to be witty but not all the time that it makes a person feel horrible
  20. So I have been thinking, Kaladin broke because of his believed failure to save everyone but still forcing himself to live (it is a lot more complicate than that) made him a Knights Radiant. Shallan spoke the truths of events that damaged her so much that she purposely forgot them. Dalinar opened himself up and realised the person he was was horrible but to become better he had to move forward. Teft coming to terms with how much he hates himself and how he caused harm to others because of it. So what about Lift, Renarin, Jasnah, Lopen and others? What broke them or in apparently Lopen's case, what opened their mind to the Knight Radiant spren?
  21. I grew up in a religious setting and had most of it (metaphorically) beaten out of me but it is the small bits of kindness from others along with my belief that I can't be alone that doesn't lead me to atheism. I feel like Dalinar is like this without the (metaphorical) beating, he like Jasnah was shown proof that maybe everything they told is correct, to no ones error and were given the choice to think. Dalinar because of the society doesn't really explain or ponder too much on this questioning but Jasnah fully does. Jasnah isn't afraid to speak her mind and prove others wrong when they are so imagine young Jasnah doing what Dalinar is doing now. Dalinar is pretty much saying stop believing the old as tradition when I have proof that it is wrong. Jasnah would undoubtedly be considered crazy and locked up. Half way through writing this I realised, maybe Dalinar is a foil to what happened to Jasnah. Showing that no matter who you are, if you're disagreeing with Vorinism, you are seen as crazy.
  22. Your wish is granted, you'll have better internet but only works for an hour a day. I wish I could read faster
  23. I might be really bias, but I enjoyed the end of OB purely because I read from Renarin's point of view. I don't mind reading about battles but I prefer to read the internal battles and the one with Renarin, mmm, just beautiful. (I also liked OB because of Renarin's cute little talk with Dalinar about how Evi talked about Dalinar to their children).
  24. I see you everywhere now, welcome bro! There is definitely more to discover in stonewards, truthwatchers and willshapers which we will get more of but your list is pretty neat.
  25. I second this. We don't even know enough to dislike him as much as @Gasper does
