Hey guys, Since there is so many new people, including myself, I am curious to know what everyone's favourite Knights Radiant order, at least from the information you have on them. I'll start off, I'd have to say I would like Truthwatcher if I knew more (I'm loving the combination of the surges of illumination and progression), so I'd have to say Edgedancer because I think it will be so cool to just slip and slide around the place and heal some poor soul every once and awhile.

Well light can't be exclusive to thunderclasts because Ym's spren wanted him to use it against Nale who as far as I know is not a thunderclast but. Illumination surge is the power to manipulate waves, Shallan does a lot of visual wave manipulation and each order is meant to be able to manipulate each surge a little different compared to the other orders. Truthwatchers are meant to be more scholarly not academic (there is a difference), so maybe they can manipulate waves in a more scientific way. Such as manifesting and manipulating light rather than crafting a lie. This would explain why SHallan couldn't teach Renarin to use illumination because it is different.

This is exactly what I thought when I was reading Mistborn but I don't think Kaladin will die until he has at least finished his personal growth arc. Shallan's arc is her trying to come to terms that she is all her personalities and they are her, I think Kaladin needs to come to the realisation that he can't save everyone so I don't Sanderson would do that. I can only see him doing it if he wants to make Kaladin a tragic hero but with how it is going I highly doubt he would reduce Kaladin to a tragic hero

That would be the fourth ideal he can't say but the fifth ideal would be somehow becoming what your order is like skybreakers become the law in their 5th ideal, so the ultimate sacrifice would be to do that. Kaladin yes would do it in a heart beat but would he really? The reason he hasn't killed himself is because of his obsession on wanting to protect everyone. Kaladin won't die until everyone is saved. I don't know if I am making sense but I hope I am

I'm a girl and not really a big fan of shallan, or Jasnah for that matter. Navani and Queen Fen are cool though. It really just depends with who you identify with the most.

I can respect that, some people are out for blood because they don't understand. I'm not a big Shallan fan period like from the way of KIngs not a fan but it annoys me when people just hate on something they don't understand. Furthermore the reason why I do support Shallan and Adolin rather than SHallan and Kaladin

I noticed a lot of people hating on Shallan which is fair, you can, but I thought it made a lot of sense because of the following spoilers In the spoiler, those things cause a split in personality. Shallan is suffering from this mental illness and how it is portrayed is meant to serve multiple story points but one is to show Adolin is meant for her because he accepts the true her despite her other personalities. I hope this makes sense

@Joy Though with Zuko, you could argue his searching to find where he belongs in the world is what Kaladin is doing. Zuko wanted to save his mum and blames himself, same with his uncle. He again is like Kaladin in the aspect that Kaladin fights/kills the Parshendi similar to Zuko not caring about others that aren't firebenders until he is enlightened by the avatar. However Skybreakers would not be a good one because Zuko kept breaking laws and speaking up, thus not fitting I loved mistborn and read it first so that's why I always go back to it.

Vin From Mistborn would be an edgedancer while Elend would be a truthwatcher (or elsecaller) However from different franchises like Avatar the last airbender, Zuko would be a windrunner

Truthwatchers unite! @Joy Veil dating Kaladin could be a one off thing maybe but it feels like it most likely won't happen otherwise massive scandal during times of war would occur, messing with the story a lot more than needed

Adolin and Kaladin are together I didn't know Shallan could change herself to look like Kaladin!
