  1. Butterflutter the Eighth stumbled in, in the middle of an allergy attack.
  2. His hand clasped hers. Her grip was shaky, nervous. Tapping strength, he pulled her up with little effort, keeping her delicately away from the edge of the blade. He looked up at the roof again. ”Just a few more feet...”
  3. But neither was he accustomed to winning. He was just a sad kangaroo.
  4. Nael poured two cups of coffee and led her out a side door, handing her one. He judged the height to the roof—only about 20 feet—then summoned his Shardblade and shoved it into the wall of the warehouse, right above their heads. He reached up, tapping pewter, and pulled himself up, then reached down for her.
  5. “It’s fine. I’m just not used to meeting new people.” He leaned in closer. “I think I know somewhere more private. Can you climb?” he whispered, lightly tapping his pewter.
  6. “I’m...okay.” He stepped over to the other side of Sam, eyes red, leaving the coffee machine open for Freyja.
  7. “Sorry,” Nael said. “We were kind of in the middle of something, and then you walked in, and...” He trailed off. “Sorry. I don’t know why I’m here, or what I’m supposed to be doing.” @Steel Inquisitive
  8. Nael wiped his eyes and turned to the new people. “I...I thought we’d be alone in here,” he whispered to Sam. @Steel Inquisitive
  9. Butterflutter the Eighth suddenly tumbled into Elantris, in the middle of an allergy attack.
  10. Except for the fact that they were full of Aviar worms.
  11. Nael stifled his sobs for a moment, confused.
  12. Everyone was disgusted at the lack of gravy.
  13. There was just one problem. Sel rhymed with Kel.
  14. But then he was eaten by a Skybreaker chasmfiend.
  15. Hoid did not appreciate this, for some odd reason. Likely because people already worshipped him.
  16. Because the ghanderflaffle empire was rising.
  17. Nael didn’t answer for a while, trying to keep from bursting into tears. His lip began to quiver, and then his sobs burst free.
  18. Nael was surprised to find the offices unlocked, and everything within in working order. There was a small table and a few chairs, as well as a coffee machine. He turned on the light, stepping inside. Sam’s hand was warm, her touch reassuring. He’d never had these feelings for someone before, and he didn’t intend to squander this opportunity, despite the fact that he’d likely mess it up.
  19. He nodded and took her hand, intending to lead her to the back of the warehouse, where the private, abandoned offices sat unused.
  20. And watched the following proceedings with a look of bewilderment.
  21. She looked up, confused, then looked back down, blushing.
  22. Ouch. “I never said you were a fool.” Nael was suddenly aware of all the people around, listening to their conversation—specifically Bellatrix. “Should we take this somewhere else?” he asked. “Somewhere more...private?” How he managed to keep from blushing as he said it was beyond his comprehension. @Steel Inquisitive
