Long Game 70: Reforging Arelon
Ookla-son-son-Ventyl replied to Kynedath's topic in Sanderson Elimination
At this point, I’m still suspicious of Lotus. As you’re contact could be lying about being an Adjudicator, and Lotus could’ve lied about being one in the first place. The latter gives me giant elim buzzer noises, as I think lying about your role is usually an elim move. Besides that, I think you should consider that there may be an elim!Lotus + elim! You’re secret contact, whom you won’t give us their name, team. That might just be my paranoia talking, but I think it’s something worth considering Elk. I might just leave my vote on Lotus, considering I still do want them dead as I feel like they’ve been getting a lot less attention than they deserve for what they’ve done in thread. They’ve also hardly contributed much to the game as a whole, which is always an elim sign for me. But the main reason I’ll keep it on her now is so we can get some group PMs. If you have anymore questions about my vote, I did make a long post earlier this turn, so it might answer some things! Are you a Socialite by any chance, Elkanah??- 499 replies

Long Game 70: Reforging Arelon
Ookla-son-son-Ventyl replied to Kynedath's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Okay, it’s time for my post by post analysis of Lotus! I did one of these in LG... I don’t remember the number, but it’s been too long and I need to get back to doing them. Although, I generally find it hard to read people from the content of their post, and not just their vibe, I can do it if I look into it long enough. Anyway, here we go! Day One: 1) A simple RP post, something about a worldhopper . NAI 2) Claims “adjuntator,” I wonder if this spelling was supposed to be an intentional joke, or an actual misspelling of the role. Either way It does strike me as odd that she claimed the role, after we’d talked about not wanting one to be killed by the elims. This is either an extremely village move, or an elim who’s line of thought was along the lines of; “If I claim this role, they won’t kill me?!” 3) After being asked why she claimed, says because she wants to try something new, this is going to be NAI. I can’t really fault someone for this, and I also can’t know if it’s true or if it’s just an excuse to avoid suspicion. 4-6) A back in forth between Lotus and Illwei about the latter moving their vote off of Gears, there isn’t much to read from this, but with how easily Lotus just lets Illwei’s ‘explaination’ satisfy her, the conspiracy theorist in me wants to see a Lotus-Illwei elim team. That’s probably not the case though. 7) Claims they read the rules about adjudicator wrong, seems suspicious, like she’s trying to backpedal her way out of suspicion. This gives me an elim read. However, it could be a genuine misunderstanding, I would know because I did the same thing in LG67. 8) Warns about rollover, NAI. Night One: They didn’t make a single post the entire turn... could easily be discussion in the elim doc. Though, it could just as easily be they weren’t able to get on in time. This gives me a bad vibe, they also could’ve been in PMs, so if anyone was in a PM with Lotus I would like to know. Day Two: 9) Claims to have been roll swapped, this gives me an immediate elim read. One, this could easily be her lying so that she no longer has to worry about suspicion as an elim adjudicator, and this is what I think it is. The likely hood that they were an adjudicator in the first place is also low, so why they would lie about having the role, and then getting it swapped strikes me as something extremely suspicious. I tend to believe that lying about your role is a pretty elim thing to do. Yes, there are circumstances where doing so as village can be beneficial, but it can cause too much chaos in the village to be helpful. Sure it’ll generate useful discussion, but if you have an important role and end up being killed, because you lied about your role, it’ll be terrible for the village. I was about to make this point, but I was ninja’d. This is one of the main reasons I think we lynch Lotus here, I had my reasons last cycle and now I have more. Sorry if some of this is pretty incoherent, I’m in a rambling mood right now. If you have questions about my vote, feel free to ping me about it. So @Lotus, how do you plea?- 499 replies

Long Game 70: Reforging Arelon
Ookla-son-son-Ventyl replied to Kynedath's topic in Sanderson Elimination
(Alright excuse any errors, I’m on my phone so typing is hard!) First things first, losing an actor is very bad for us, because assuming there is probably only 1 or 2 actors in the game, there’s a 50% chance the elims no longer get actor trapped by their own kills. So I think if you’re an actor, getting protection in the form of someone else or saving up Deo is probably the right play. That and just generally lying low, and definitely don’t roleclaim outside of PMs. And even I’m PMs don’t roleclaim unless you trust the person enough to think they aren’t an Elim. Well that’s been my PSA for any remaining actors, if there are any that is. Remember you have a powerful late game role, because when there are less players you’ll have a higher chance of actor trapping an elim!- 499 replies

Long Game 70: Reforging Arelon
Ookla-son-son-Ventyl replied to Kynedath's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Wow, I was busy today, definitely not just sleeping all day, and so much has happened. But after skimming through here and trying to read as much as possible I’ve come to the conclusion that voting Lotus is what I want. If they are an Adjudicator, we keep the majority vote rule out of their hands, which I think is a good thing. Because, if we don’t vote them out now, elims kill them and then they’ll be able to avoid the lynch easier in the coming cycles. Which, I don’t think we want. I’m also not saying that we shouldn’t kill Gears, I mean he claimed elim, so why wouldn’t we? But, I don’t think any sane elim would let him do this, but then again that gets into IKYK. They could know that we’d think that and go with it, but it’s unlikely. So plan of action: 1) Lynch Lotus this cycle, keep possible Adjudicator penalty away from elims, and maybe, just maybe kill an elim. Though I don’t think Lotus is one. 2) Survive the night, of course. 3) Lynch Gears and get someone how has already claimed elim out of the way. If people are wondering why I’m not supporting the Gears lynch now, it’s because I’d rather get rid of the possibility of us having to do the majority vote for every lynch later on. PMs are good yes, but I don’t think they are worth Elims escaping the lynch. Ninja’d by Mist...- 499 replies

Long Game 70: Reforging Arelon
Ookla-son-son-Ventyl replied to Kynedath's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I don’t know how I should feel about this strategy, it feels too similar to my own . Except the elim claiming part, I just like to cause as much chaos in order to make hopefully useful conversation. I shall poke Gears, only for the reason that he’s using a similar strategy to my own . (He did say he was an elim too?)- 499 replies

Long Game 70: Reforging Arelon
Ookla-son-son-Ventyl replied to Kynedath's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Lafay Etteax watched Ola float around, taking on the appearance of a seon representing the Aeon Deo. She seemed to enjoy being able to freely show herself off to al of the Selish folk, though he constantly worried someone would ask her to do something only a Seon could. Though it’d been almost half a year since he’d come to Sel hoping to become an Elantrain and failing. It was unfortunate that Elantris had fallen, and getting off the planet would be a bit difficult as he’d become a pretty accomplished merchant in his short time on Sel. Now he couldn’t just leave, he had to help them start up their new country, then he would leave.- 499 replies

Okay, to be begin with, I’ve thought of this world with two magic systems. They are Chronomagery and Deulchemy. If it isn’t obvious Chronomagery deals with time control, and other time related things, whereas Deulchemy is a bit more random. I got a lot of inspiration for some parts of the world from Era 2 of Mistborn and from Max Gladstone’s Craft Sequence, because those are two of my favorite series. And if you have read either of them you’ll definitely see the inspirations from them. Anyways, so far I’ve thought of the world, and I’m already spinning ideas about world building in my head. This is my strong suit, I’m great at building up the world, but I’m not good at setting up an interesting conflict using the world. As of right now, all I have is just a rough draft of the prologue, and considering I’m only a sophmore in highschool who didn’t pay a lot of attention in English classes. Please, if you notice anything that is incorrect grammar wise, make a comment of the Doc and I’ll fix it! Also, writing tips would be much appreciated. Now without further ado, here is the link to the draft of “The Bringer of Death” https://docs.google.com/document/d/1DffCteLp4mW40oMvdiLW4CRSVjhp6gJD_Nlnpa7rUyA/edit

Okay, I think its really good, but I don’t understand some things. Well, mainly just one thing. If Ralv is supposed to be a long time street urchin, why is he so willing to help so random girl? Was he’s introduction more him joking around? Also why would Tamika be so quick to trust him after she’d just experienced getting beat up by some street urchins. -
