  1. Soooo.... Why have I been summoned...?
  2. "Spark", he replied--giving a firm handshake.
  3. "I know what you're thinking," Spark said. "You don't trust me--and neither do the others... I haven't given them a reason too..." He said to Fritz. "Give me a chance, and I'll show you that you can trust me..." Spark said, looking unflinchingly into Fritz's eyes. Spark held out his hand, seeming to hold his breath...
  4. Dr. Why Squid was also known for his 4 other PhD's, though no one ever mentioned them. The Doctor's middle name also happened to be Numuhukumakiaki'aialunamor.
  5. It was perturbing that Dr. Why Squid was there due to what his PhD. was in...
  6. Quite unfortunately, Probability had no control of when a shift in her form would take place... Though certain scenarios could trigger it.
  7. "Do you all mind if I hunker down in here for tonight? It doesn't seem too friendly outside..." Spark said, motioning to the mouth of the cave.
  8. "Not much. They can track location in most circumstances, but can be destroyed with a localized EMP--if it's strong enough... knowing that might be handy if we can rescue your friend from Konna--though I don't have the tools to make something that can focus an EMP, let alone make one..." Spark proceeds to take off his guard disguise, showing that he was wearing rugged and nondescript clothes. "Thanks for not immediately killing me, it means a lot."
  9. Spark sank to the floor while holding his neck, finally getting some air. Raggedly, Spark remarked "Konna puts RFIDs (microchips) somewhere in most of her Epics and all of the guards. How do you think she finds them?" Spark sighs, tired. "I'm glad you are being vigilant, if you want to check me for RFIDs, please do so."
  10. For a moment, Spark stared at Xaoth--thoroughly confused at the absurdity of the situation.
  11. Spark grunted as he hit the wall; his sharp intake of breath cut short by the firm pressure of a dagger against his throat. A little dazed, he realized he was staring into the eyes of someone who would kill him if he breathed too hard... "I'm... not with the guards..." Spark got out, nicking himself a little on the firmly held knife. "I didn't know... you were here." The incredulous look she gave Spark made his heart sink... I better say something good, and quick. "Look in my right trouser pocket, there is a drive there that has data from the servers at the compound (complex?). I barely got out when the alarms were going off..." Spark rambled quickly, trailing off at the end--waiting for her reply.
  12. Spark rounded a corner, sliding into a cave. Should be safe here he thought, out of breath.
  13. Spark pulled out his flash drive and interface as the server booted up. Now all I have to do is NOT trigger the system security. Do that, and I'm in. "...1) Insert the 2 USB-A wires into the device's USB-A inputs closest to the motherboard..." Spark murmured to himself, glad he memorized the instructions. "So that should be these...," connecting the interface with 2 little clicks. (More fiddling with the BIOS and RAID configurations...) "Alright, so now I wait for the machine to do its thing..." The interface clicked and whirred as different LEDs gradually lit up. "No detection yet..." Spark whispered uneasily to no one. After what felt like an eternity, there was a sound like an old toaster finishing its cycle as a row of green LEDs blinked twice and lit up. Bingo! "As smooth as butter..." Spark said as he pushed the flash drive into the server's port, which was the one he wasn't supposed to connect to. The server beeped happily, as if taunting him as the simple error message popped up. "Welp, I'm toast" Spark muttered as he began to realize what was happening. That's when the alarm started blaring. ... They really need to make that quieter... Spark thought as he ran through the complex, a drive in his pocket (with very little data for all the trouble he went through to get it). Fortunately, the drive was programed to immediately start copying files--and got a decent chunk of data. Unfortunately, Spark had no way of knowing what was on it until he got back to a computer or mobile, and some of it was likely corrupted because he had to leave in a hurry. He kept running, finding a door and going out--following his gut. None of the guards noticed the one guard that lagged behind the other party of guards patrolling. And they didn't notice when he slipped away, running away from the field and into cover...
  14. Meanwhile elsewhere, Spark finishes picking a lock to an out-of-the-way room. "Gotcha!" Spark exclaims with a smile--the door opening inward. Kicking himself immediately after remembering that he is trying to be quiet. A little chagrined, Spark walks into the room and closes the door behind him. The lights are off, but that's no problem as he pulls out a pen light. As he illuminates the room, he finds that the room is empty--except for some unpowered servers, a couple unlit screens, and two more doors. Well, I guess I'll just look at the computers until I find something--anything that could be a clue... He moves over to the other side if the room and powers a server on...
  15. @Spren of Kindness I haven't really decided what I want to do in the middle... My fingers seem like they can't decide either Either way, it something I just started and thought I'd bounce it off of anyone who was willing to give a listen... Thanks for the feedback!
  16. I'm working on a possible theme for Dalinar, or more specifically a theme for "The Tower" after he's abandoned by Sadeas... [Google Drive Link] As for the handpans, my vote is yes. They sound amazing. (Thanks for the link @Spren of Kindness) Possible theme for Dalinar or The Tower.wav
