  1. Galvris sighed, leaning against the wall. "Well, I can be perssuaded to help. I could probably destroy it, even if I obey the laws of Justice." He gathered a small ball of energy in his hand, utilizing his epic power. He then threw it dead on at one of the monster's hands. It melted into slag, falling off. The creature screamed, a horrible wailing sound, clutching at it's burnt stump.
  2. Algorath shook his head, sitting up slowly. He looked, his vision blurred. All around him were... beings helping him up. He blinked, trying to clear his eyes. There were all around him. Beings with trees growing from them, half animals, human deities, so many. He growled, shying back. His hackles raised, and he realized he was a wolf again. Hated. Magic. He reared, bursting from the crowd and running away. He tripped halfway, weak from the days of stress. He changed to the hybrid he'd been before his transformation. He curled up on the cracked cobbles and began to weep. It was over. There was too much magic. His wolf had died. The blackness would devour them all. He suddenly realized that all of his worries were blurring together, contradicting each other. But he didn't care. He could've lain there for eternity. His pack would never accept him now. Not after this show of weakness. Suddenly he felt warmth. And light. His worries seemed to ease. Not disappear, for that would give him unforgivable blindness, but ease them enough to take away the pain. He slowly cracked his eyes open, and saw a man with a tree on his head healing him. His first instinct was to break away, but slowly took it. Finally, after about ten minutes of this treatment, he was able to stand. He brushed off his black coat with as much dignity as he could muster. They had their army of magical beings. @Chasmfiend#1
  3. Stormbreaker messaged Lusk again. We're on our way to the Invincible Reason to coordinate out attacks more efficiently. Requesting Permission to dock. @I think I am here.
  4. Galvris twiddled his thumbs. The thing sure was taking a long time, and he was dying of curiosity. Finally, impatient, he wrapped a flow of air around the claw and dragged it the rest of the way through. @Sorana
  5. Stormbreaker nodded, calling a drop ship from the air to fairy him there. He paused. It would probably be a better idea to coordinate with the Ghostbloods from their headquarters. He told the pilot of the Viper to get it "space ready". The driver, supressing a grin, flipped up a black cover on the control panel. It revealed a massive red button surrounded in red and yellow cautionary tape. He pressed it without hesitating. The ship began to transform. The sides closed, and massive sheets of armor plating began to cover the hull. Folding from seemingly nowhere, they completely encased the ship. A bit of nanotechnology from the Diagram. The ship also generated a repulsing shield that lessened the wieght of it dramatically. Several other Vipers transformed with his, and followed him. The technology was highly experimental, and one strong jolt could make them all suffocate in the vacuum of space. So naturally, they gunned it out of the atmosphere. Headed straight for Invincible Reason, Hasharan heralded his arrival with the in-board communication device. "A Viper drop-ship is on it's way to you fairying Stormbreaker, god of Protection, Source of the Diagram, Comander in Cheif of Diagram Armed Forces, Commander of Fortress Eternal, War Hero, Leader of the Diagramists—" He cut off as Stormbreaker silenced him. He took the microphone from Hasharan, and said, "It's Stormbreake, Lusk, if you receive this, I'm on my way to coordinate an attack on Plasmacore. Several escort Vipers are with me." @I think I am here. ——— Darkness nodded as Wes gave him the message. It was time to attack. But first, Darkness wanted to raid a bakery. Fighting really took it out of you. —— Twenty minutes later, Darkness was satisfied, and ready to lead the Guns 'n Ninjas to attack. He motioned them forwards. "Alright Ninjas," he said, "Here's the plan. We find Plasmacore's weak point, then strike hard and fast. I'll need Zan and Wes to accompany me as scouts. Seom will hang back as a healer. Let's go." With that, he struck out, hoping that they would follow him. @Sherlock Holmes @Turtle373
  6. Galvris nodded to what Lena was saying. He was about to respond, when a portal opened. It looked a little bit like a gateway, but made of violet light and darkness. He saw a claw reach out. He reacted instantly, his mind in the void was free of distraction. He stood quickly... then leaned against the wall and watched. It would be interesting to see how this would go. Galvris rarely feared for his own safety anymore. The only thing that could set him on edge was an allomancer. And he rarely interfered with anything major, preferring to watch things play out. The promise of danger only sweetened the viewing. So he just watched as the claw slowly groped it's way out of the portal. He did seat himself firmly in the void, and turned himself incorporeal. He dimly felt interest flickering across the outside of the void.
  7. Darkness blinked blearily as the haze retreated. He saw Zan standing over him, and prepared himself for death. But the blow never came. He looked, and Wes was squishing ants furiously. "Hey!" Wes yelled over to them, "This says we should help these people?!" Darkness nodded and stood shakily. He dragged Wes out of the bloodfog, and asked him what the message said. ——— Stormbreaker shut his eyes as the fire was about to overtake the ground car. Then he had a quick feeling of being turned inside out. He opened his eyes again, noticing that they'd been elsecalled away. He quickly messaged Lusk, seeing what the Ghostblood plan was. While Lust wasn't technically his superior, The Diagramists were in a treaty with a much stronger guild. This tended to lead to The Ghostblood council telling him what to do often. Still it would be best to mix it up at times. @I think I am here.
  8. Algorath was blind with rage, his vision tainted red. All he saw was his victims. Then all he saw was the ground. He felt a sudden burning behind his shoulder blades, and he lost control and returned to the form of a freakish hybrid. Slowly, returning to man form, he stood. Just in time to catch the tail end of the armored man's speech. Not quite the justice he would've taken, but it took a man's mind to comprehend the consequences of killing civilians. He shook his head. How was it possible to want to protect these people, yet rip their throats out at the same time? He consoled himself with the thought that they were ignorant of the struggle taking place.
  9. Hasharan ran at the dragons, shardblade swinging. Fire washed over him, deflected by his shardblade. He sliced a dragon's wingtip, causing it to crash to the ground. Stormbreaker took the frying pan from the man, spinning it in his hand. He'd been trained by a master for a few years in the sacred art of frying pan fighting. He used the frying pan to dismember the parrot-headed man in one of the more difficult frying pan moves. The darts bounced harmlessly off of Edalb's glassweave jacket. The warriors lenses helped her to recover faster, and she ran at the source of the darts. Stormbreaker called all of his men off, signaling the artillery to fire and cover their retreat. He and his team ran for a ground car, Hasharan's elites distracting their pursuers. Several viper drop-ships fired missiles towards the ground, while others evacuated Hasharan's elites. They'd made it away from the scene of the battle with relatively few losses, but they weren't out of the woods yet. @Sorana @Ark1002
  10. Galvris ate mechanically, his face betraying none of his feelings.
  11. Edalb smiled, ready to swing the sword again to strike. Suddenly, she was hit from behind by something large. Very large. She flew through the air and landed on the ground, glassweave jacket protecting against most of shock. She saw black spots, and looked up. A hulking form stooped over her. She closed her eyes, bracing agains death. Instead, it picked her up gently, and carried her out of the bloodlust fog. She gasped as she came out, like surfacing from a pool of water. Suddenly, she was very, very tired. ——— Stormbreaker did the math quickly. He was a returned. His body was made completely of investiture. The bloodlust fog would affect him less. And he couldn't have Edalb killing Zokora. It could be disastrous for the Ghostblood-Diagramist treaty. So he rushed into the fog. As soon as he entered it, he had an overpowering desire to kill someone. Gasping, he forced it down. He charged at Edalb, at the last moment feeling that bloodlust rear again. He hit her with almost everything he had. She flew across the street, landing a good distance away. Stormbreaker fell to his knees, reeling from what he had done. Slowly, he walked over and picked her up, carrying her out of the fog. As soon as he broke free, his legs collapsed. He sagged to the ground, dropping Edalb. Hasharan rushed over to assist both of them. @Sorana @Ark1002 Darkness ducked under the cane, using only a bit of energy to enhance his speed. He swung the katana at his opponents legs, using even more energy to lend the sword power. At the last moment, he felt an indescribable pain behind his eyes. Almost agains his will, he turned the sword sideways to avoid harming Zan. He fell to the ground, wracked by an internal battle. @Turtle373
  12. Algorath nodded, calming slightly. "Something must be done, you are right. I misspoke. If we can capture the vessels, then we could take away the thing's tools. My wolves are collecting magical creatures right now, and we should be able to muster quite a force." He started as he heard a sharp cry from outside. It sounded as if a large angry crowd was out there. He rushed outside the inn, and gasped at what he saw. A crowd was circling a singular point in the middle of the street, chanting something. He looked, and saw the mutilated body of one of his wolves suspended by a forest of arms. He fell to his knees as he watched the angry crowd cheering and passing the body back and forth. Then he noticed the rest of his pack. The were backed against a building, snapping and growling at an advancing mob. The mob, weilding spikes and torches, forced them back farther. Algorath growled in anger. He changed to wolf form, letting his more savage half take over completely. His vision was tainted red. He let out a growl that would make any sane man run. Then he charged. He would rip their heads off. He would desecrate their bodies. They had dared to kill his wolf. @Chasmfiend#1 @Sorana @kenod @Turtle373 @xinoehp512
  13. Hmm. Yes I should remedy the low quality of this thread. LET THE MEMES POUR FORTH!!
  14. Algorath growled. The comment stung. He remembered how it used to feel to have the common men fear him. And although he secretly agreed with her, the comment incensed him. "I do not either," he snarled, "Do not demonize me in such a way. And this is not 'just for fun'. If we leave a few bodies behind to save the rest of the city, then so be it. They're most likely beyond saving, unless this one—" he gestured to Lilia, "—can do the same for the rest of them. One took her the better part of an hour, and she was exhausted afterwards. We may not have a choice but to kill a few of them." Despite his words, he unwillingly remembered his hands around Karl's throat, ready to crush the lad's windpipe. But then he'd seen the boy's face. And he couldn't do it. How could he speak of killing more innocents when he could not do it himself? @Sorana
  15. Edalb gasped as a the fog began billowing outwards. She scrambled back, every instinct screaming at her to get away. Magic was unnatural, evil. She screamed as it engulfed her and her vision was tainted red. Then she calmed. Slowly, she pulled a pair of cool-looking sunglasses from a pocket, and put them on. Every sense and ability was suddenly heightened. She felt as if she could run a mile. Then she drew her sword and stabbed Zokora. The Ghostblood representative was petulant, interfering in the affairs of the Diagram. Always trying to one-up her. @Sorana
  16. Galvris let Lena take care of the girl. He smiled. He could read dislike on their faces. He bread that wherever he went. It was worse before Den of Theives, when people had tried to kill him for being the pretentious "Lord Moerevron". Well, it would probably help his chances of getting their help of he immersed himself in the void. He focused on the fire, feeding all of his emotions to it. He occupied a bubble of his mind that was void of emotion, feeling, really anything that made him inhuman. That void, however, was shared by the True Source. It took nearly all of his willpower not to seize it and embrace the fight of his life. He restrained, and occupied the void with peace. Instantly, all emotion fled from his face. It was like he'd turned to stone. He remedied that by a smile, but one could clearly see that it did not reach his stone-cold eyes. "I could use your help, if you'll give it," he said. His words were cold, almost harsh. @Sorana
  17. Edalb winced. "Is that an affirmative or not?" She asked. @Ark1002
  18. Vargo sniffed a little. "Bean, rest his soul, was right. Even if I don't know what his dying (sorta) wishes were." But then he hardened up a little, "Despite them having far more content, I feel that we are closer than ever before. Both thread are great, I have to accept that (since they both do the same thing), but I am definitely biased towards this one, for obvious reasons."
  19. Galvris smiled. "It's good to see you Alask," he said, "I'm afraid my motives are a little bit more grand, if you'll forgive me. I wish to sort of commandeer this team to help against Plasmacore. This city cannot, and never will be safe until it is free of villainy. I know you're not the greatest warriors, but if we can get people off of the streets and out of the city before the Government decides to strike, then the city will become a better place." He noticed Alask stooping over a small girl on the front porch. He hastened to pick her up and carry her inside. There was a time when he would've simply lifted her with flows of air, but he'd learned many things since the Den of Theives. He knelt over her, and investigated her with flows of air, fire, and spirit, the three healing flows. He stood, "She's malnourished, exhausted, and dehydrated. All she really needs right now is some water and rest, though I'm not a hugely competent healer." @Silva @I think I am here.
  20. Alright. I thought we decided that offering cookies was ok, as long as you didn't push the guild promotion. But we shouldn't discuss this here.
  21. "FOR THE TITLE OF THE LONGEST THREAD EVER TO EXIST" VARGO YELLED WITH SUDDEN INTENSITY "YES, ALL OF YOU FIGHT AMONGST YOURSELVES! IT WILL MAKE US WIN!"
  22. Darkness smelled victory as he closed in. He would relish seeing this upstart's blood splattering over the ground. He put away his thick fighting knives, and drew a katana. He also pulled out his curved torture dagger. He would make this slow. He felt a sudden pain behind his eyes. Part of his mind was screaming within himself. He shook it off and attacked viciously, aiming to maime his opponent's legs with a katana. @Turtle373 @I think I am here. @Sherlock Holmes ——— Edalb stretched out her hand holding a relevant piece of the Master Diagram. "We are willing to offer you this piece of the Master Diagram, as well as all of our resources if you leave the Alleyverse and never return," she said, "This piece should be good for the next hundred years or so, with minor inconsistencies." @Ark1002
  23. Algorath nodded. He stalked out upon the roof, telling his wolves what must be done. Most of them had evolved enough to speak rudimentary language. By the end of it, the rumors would make them evolve much much more. They'd spread the word, getting the civilians to safety, and gather magical creatures. He watched the wolves disappear over the rooftops, and returned just in time to hear Amara say, "We could have the tower crush them." He nodded. "Yes, it will kill the hosts. But I fear that the creatures themselves will live on. It's a good idea, and should buy us enough time to Marshall our own forces." @Chasmfiend#1 @Sorana
