Darkness butted in. "Ahem. I'm a kinetic epic, minor. I can help you build stuff, If I save enough energy I can lift extremely heavy loads. Depends on how much money you're willing to pay." He smiled and rubbed his pointer and thumb fingers together in the universal gesture of greed. @Karnatheon

Hello all, allow me to introduce my character, Necromancer. As you can see, he's extremely overpowered, which is probably why Voidus put it to a vote. However, if you take a look at this, you can see why you should vote for him He's entirely non-combative when faced by other characters, but he will defend himself. He won't kill anyone without universal consent of the community, and mostly fight NPCs. He would also add some interesting elements to the story. His completely unique powers are interesting, and can be used in concert with other powerful time-manipulating epics. He'll also be used to start a vigilante team within Alleycity, that can work with the forge, the craftsmen, and other people who only want to see Alleycity safe. Vote Necromancer today!

No, a problem which needs to be remedied. You winning, I mean. Here's the image I want to use, but I'm not sure how to use code.

My character, Necromancer, will add a very interesting element to the RP. I'll be making a vigilante topic, where anyone who's interested in that sort of thing can throw their name in and help rid Alleycity of crime. As well as being very fun, this means he'll be a mostly "good" character, less likely to go on a murderous rampage. For those who are concerned about Necromancer's power to instakill, fear not. Not only is he a "good" character, less likely to outright kill your characters for no reason, he mostly will fight NPCs. For those who have budding villains and don't want them to die, you also have no need to worry. I won't make a habit of instakilling, as that limits potential for character development, as well as completely ruining the point of the story. Are you still worried that I won't keep that promise? I can have the DA power limit apply to him, making him unable to instakill outside of DA territory. I've also taken away his ability to resurrect dead characters, and to timestop other characters. Vote Necromancer today!!

That's why I used an OP character sheet. I tweaked it a bit so it doesn't affect anything. The way I'll use this guy will be mostly aggression against NPCs, and I won't use him to engage other characters with out due warning or permission. I tweaked timestop abilities. He would have trouble insta-killing Hellbent if Hellbent was wearing plate, because of the amount of investiture. I also took away his resurrection abilities.

Keleth looked over to where the man who had approached him was. "Yes, that is me. For evidence, the only thing I can give is a first-hand account." A man looked up from papers he was rifling through, and brought up a valid point. "Huh. Never thought of that. I do believe that assault should be considered agains the law, or should we put that to vote?" He turned back to the rest of the room. "The only evidence I can present is the first-hand account of the one who was assaulted. Mac." @MacThorstenson @Karnatheon @Nohadon

Returned walked through the doors, and inspected the building beyond. He walked over to the receptionist, and struck up a conversation. "This place is hard to find," he said, "Had to dig through a few pages before I finally found it." He smiled, then went on to other business, "I need weapons. Enough to outfit at least 5,000 men. No investiture." @Dr. Dapper

I've made some edits to Necromancer, and he should fit within the limits as OP characters go @Voidus @Lord Meeker I took away his ability to freeze people, and his ability to bring others back from the dead. I also tweaked my Modus Operandi a bit.

A young page boy bearing a message scampered over to where Keleth was seated. Keleth read the message, and his expression was slightly disturbed. He stood up, consulted the message once more, than said, "I have just received report of the disturbing activities of Benson. If I may, I would propose action by this body. He has threatened multiple guilds of the alleyverse, the DA included. He should be brought before a court of law to stand trial. Does anyone second this move?" @Lord Meeker

Silver: the useless metal... or is it?
Vargo Seldon replied to Vargo Seldon's topic in Cosmere Discussion
I truly never expected this theory to resurface. Or maybe fuel comes out of you yourself, and silver is just a way to channel it into the shade without harming yourself. -

Darkness looked over to Mack. "Thanks. So no government people here?" He then sat down in an easy chair that no one was exactly sure where it came from, then kicked back.

Darkness strolled in, munching on an apple. Each bite echoed off of the walls, and increased the awkwardness of the situation. He finally looked up, and noticed a girl kneeling on the ground. He didn't even have the decency to look embarrassed as he strolled over to take his position. With out waiting for her majesty to answer the girl kneeling on the floor, he asked, "Do you know how we stand in relation to the Alleycity government? Just wondering." He sat down. @Queen Elsa Steelheart

giant yeti battle!!!!!!! Fortress Eternal
Vargo Seldon replied to Vargo Seldon's topic in The Alleyverse
Returned smiled, and said, "I won't share it unless I absolutely need to, but I don't see that happening." He turned to Hasharan, "How goes recruitment? Our army will need food, and weapons. I'll go to trident to purchase some weapons for our men, and I expect a full status report on my return." He smiled briefly at the pun, then left. @Sunbringer @beantheboy12- 111 replies

It looks as though I have a bit of a problem making OP characters. Ok, how about this. His time stop ability doesn't actually freeze people in their tracks, it just stops them aging. I've been thinking that the age-thing wouldn't affect the targets mind in any way, and they could still move normally. However, their heart wouldn't beat, and they wouldn't have to breath, though they probably could. None of this would kill them, as time isn't actually passing for them, but they would still have full range of movements. It looks as though I'd have to take away his ability to bring other people back to life too. I'd probably also have to give fair warning before other characters engage him, and be mostly non-combative. @Lord Meeker @Voidus
-
I have two new characters @Lord Meeker. And possibly @Voidus for the second one. Keleth: Necromancer: If somebody has already come up with an idea like the one I have for Necro, than I'm sorry, but I think it would be cool to have this.

Hello and welcome to the shard. Please accept this complimentary cookie on behalf of the DA.* *Disclaimer applies. Allow me to help you out with that little dilemma. Try to avoid the sub forums that are about books you haven't read, because they are full of spoilers. If you're into RP I would recommend the Alleyverse, which is an RP universe that includes all of Brandon's writings. The Cosmere General Discussion area is good for posting theories, or just talking about the cosmere. The Last Post Wins and The Longest Thread are both good, (admittedly The Last Post Wins is better, but I'm a little biased) and both are great places to just hang out. Enjoy your time here at the shard, and welcome again.
