"OK, good to know. Could I have a normal one then?" he asked.

"Certainly. Just let me take some measurements here." Laonin said, pulling out a measuring tape and checking the length of Vtlikv's arms.

Several hours later, Laonin returned with a newly forged Greatsword, sized perfectly for Vtlikv. "Here you are."

@Furamirionind, @Karnatheon, @Dr. Dapper need character names for registration.

@Karnatheon you still have an unfilled TUBA seat.

@Darth Woodrack and @Grey Knight who is your choice for Rep for the Black Crusade?

@MetaTerminal and @MacThorstenson same question as above. Who is your rep going to be for the Craftsmen?

Alan Smedry is my Rep character. He is mostly approved, just needs the final seal of approval.

Yo, everyone, the following scene is about Tena, and is also very short. Thanks, all!

Six hours. Shorter than the first two, thank the Sisters.

Tena was laying in a hospital bed, Ani sitting on the floor next to the bed, holding Tena’s hand. She squeezed his hand for a moment, and he looked up at her, worry (maybe even panic) in his eyes. It had been a minute or something since the nurses had taken the baby (whether it was alive or dead, Tena did not know) to clean it, and he had clearly found the experience of her being in labor as traumatic as she had, though it might’ve been harder for him.

“Don’t women, um, usually cry more than you did?” Ani asked her, as if scared of the silence.

“You just gotta grit your teeth and get through it,” Tena said tiredly, moving her hand to Ani’s head and ruffling his hair. He still looked just as concerned, and Tena felt bad for having infected him with her worries.

“I don’t know what I’m gonna do if our baby is dead,” Ani said quietly, and Tena smiled at him.

    “Have another one?” she asked.

Anthony thumped his head down on the mattress and laughed, then looked up at her. “Sorry, are you serious?”

Tena shrugged and straightened up marginally as a nurse walked into the room. “We’re about done cleaning up your baby, ma’am,” the young woman said.

“Is it dead?” Tena asked tiredly, closing her eyes. She couldn’t even summon the energy to mad vehement about the statement. If the baby was dead, she would still have Ani, and as long as she had Ani, she had a purpose.

“Um, no, ma’am, there’s nothing wrong with her,” the nurse answered.

“Her?” Ani and Tena said at the same time. Another girl baby. Another girl baby!

“Yes, the baby is a girl. You’ll be seeing her… now.”

A shorter male nurse walked into the room, a loudly-crying bundle in his arms, and gave Tena the bundle. It was a little bit heavy, and when she looked down in it, there was a little baby in there, alive and crying for all its worth.

Tena breathed out a long sigh and held the baby close to her. She should’ve felt more conviction that her baby was alive, but she was still so tired and couldn’t be overjoyed. Just at peace. She felt at peace, and everything was suddenly okay.

“Do you have a name for her?” the male nurse asked.

“Ani, you get to name her,” Tena told her husband calmly.

“Oh, okay,” Ani said, and Tena looked up at him. He was crying a little, so she moved one of her hands to the side of his face and made him look at her. He breathed slowly for a moment, but didn’t stop crying, then said, “Sol… it’s the summer solstice right now, isn’t it?” Tena nodded, and Anthony continued, “Okay, her name is Solstice Winter.”

“I like that,” Tena said softly. “And her middle name’ll be be Theon.” Anthony gave her a questioning look, and she explained, “That was my grandmother’s last name.”

“So her name,” Ani said with a smile, “is Solstice Winter Theon Nightshade. That’s seriously awesome.”

“That works,” one of the nurses said, “but is Winter her first name or middle name?”

“Middle,” Tena said, and the nurse nodded.

“We’ll put that on her birth certificate.”

Yay! I'm so storming glad she made it. I didn't want to have to read another death scene. And yay! Apparently I'm Tena's grandmother.

If 16 was total, could you please count up the weaknesses before doing this?

If it was in addition, add in easily angered, and obsessive.

I believe it is in addition, since it says 83 points without any weapons, including weaknesses.

Points come out to 160, which is just a tiny tiny bit over. I think it's more or less fine, just add or remove a little something. How worried are we about canon compliance? The talent doesn't fit super well with how they traditionally are (I.e. Something that sounds bad but has lots of good stuff). Also, oracles lenses don't work like that iirc. I believe they give you very hazy information about the long term information. Also, only 2 or so exist. I'm unsure if these are problems that actually need to be fixed or not.

Ok. I mentioned earlier I was just going off Coppermind, because I haven't read the Alcatraz books. So if my interpretation of those things is incorrect and I need to change the character I can. Or at least probably the Oracle's lenses? Getting rid of the Oracle's lenses would remove 20 points. And it would remove the dependency on them. Would the rest of his weakness be worth 10 points? It would be left like this.

Weakness: Alan is quite scatterbrained at times, misplacing things and forgetting important details. His Talent both helps make up for this, whole also reenforcing the weakness because he has no reason to be more careful.

If my interpretation of things was fine, I could also keep everything and just add another weakness too.

    "A great sword," Vtlikv said.

"I'm not sure how effective a glass greats word will be. It will likely shatter if you try fighting with it. Glass weapons are much less practical, the larger they are."

Sorry Steel. I don't mean to ignore Amon. I just forget. There was a spike of like 6-8 people or something who jumped in all around the time of the fight, so I get mixed up with who was who.

Mac, we can head to the Forge to try convincing them. Depending on the order posts are done in though, they may have left for somewhere else already though.

"Both options have their merits. I think that going the road option will require us to plan a bit further ahead to ensure our roads we build now fit in with our idea of what we want the finished product to look like. That's not a bad thing, just something to keep in mind." Laonin said.

Personally I'm fine with most of the restoration efforts moving to a new thread. I can still use the Forge as needed with other stuff. It seems the two people who've stuck with the Forge over the break are Xino and ITIAH, so as long as a reduction in activity there doesn't bother them, or maybe if they even want to transition and come help with this as well, I'm game.

  9. But it was all okay, because as everyone knew, Meeks was no longer a member of the Ghostbloods. So anything he attempted to do in their stead had no application in the real world. And as an AlleyMod, such a blatant use of his powers could be construed as abusing them, so the mimes patched up the damage, and hoped people would stop breaking the fourth wall so often.

Darkness butted in.  "Ahem.  I'm a kinetic epic, minor.  I can help you build stuff, If I save enough energy I can lift extremely heavy loads.  Depends on how much money you're willing to pay."  He smiled and rubbed his pointer and thumb fingers together in the universal gesture of greed.

    @Karnatheon

"I'm sorry, but unless I was misinformed by Mack, I don't believe you were invited to this meeting. I'm sure if we need to find someone to do what you described however, we'll find you." Laonin said, looking the epic over.

    Who ya gonna call?

"You say no has been able to harm you? Well it seem to me that the best way to do you harm would be to forget you, yes? As a Feruchemist I can store all my memories of you into a metalmind, and then destroy it to erase my memory of you entirely. I don't know why it is you want to be remembered so badly, but perhaps that would incline you to go ruin someone else's day."

Fae looked at the outline again, "Or perhaps someone with a Shardblade could put a chink in your bravado. I'm really not sure."

    Not Fae apparently.

Sorry I haven't made a response in a bit, things just started happening very quickly, and it was hard to keep track of everything happening.

Laonin listened to the 'discussion' going on. It was more of an argument than anything. As he listened, a frown grew over his face, starting with creases on his forehead, and extending to the rest of his face progressively. Was this coalition going to end before it had even begun. When things finally calmed down for a moment, and he was able to speak, he stood. "Well, I think it's clear there is some disagreement amongst us, but hopefully we can work through it. To answer your question Mack, yes there are some areas that I can recommend. There are obviously some places within the city that have been rebuilt, or were not affected as heavily by the atrocities enacted upon the city. But a large portion of the city is still homeless, or living in poverty amongst the rubble and ruins of what was here before. I feel like the most impact thing we could begin with would be to start building and replacing homes for the people. Of course in order to do that we would need to remove a lot of the people from the places that need the most work. Perhaps we could set up some temporary camps outside of the city, or establish some large shelters in key places for people to stay for now. That would give us the space, and the time to begin to construct entirely new districts within the city. All with access to amenities, and necessities."

"As was already established, Triton Manufacturing can mass produce large quantities of things. They could perhaps begin work on shelters that could be moved to outside of the city, and used for now. While that is going on, we would need to demolish and clear out the remains of the destroyed sections of the city, a job that could be easily handled by some Invested individuals, perhaps people with access to Division, or any number of other things. Smedry's with the Dark Talent even, or just construction crews that could be hired to do the job. Once that is accomplished, we could use several different routes to build the actual buildings. It could be anything from mass fabricated homes, to individually constructed structures. There are any number of possibilities for that, all depending on how mundane we are okay with them being."

  13. "I'm sorry, but you are really starting to make this whole experience unpleasant. Now, you are destroying the property of the individual who owns this Tavern, so I would recommend leaving before someone does something about it." Fae says as she stands up, staring down the form in front of her. She wasn't sure if she could hurt a shadow, but she would try if needed.

  14. "I suppose that's reasonable. I wouldn't expect you to be responsible for something like that, unless you were the one commiting the act of violence."

Fae looked around. "Do you have a form for that? Or at least some paper to write on?"

  15. Fae pays attention to the commotion going on, and as it doesn't seem to be harming anyone, ignores it. Upon hearing the Tavern will be shutting down, she pipes up, "Hey, I'm here waiting for a contact. I don't see how some waiter is enough to make you want to close you doors. I'm sure most of us here can take care of ourselves."

  16. Ok sorry. I haven't actually read any Alcatraz books I was just referencing Coppermind and it said

The Smedry family is one of the most renowned groups of Oculators.

So Oculator adds the 40 I put in there, which makes his Investiture 130 points. So it depends how the weakness gets scored how many more weaknesses I'll need to add.
