Edited because I just remembered that I had a question. @Tani If the Shardbearer is voted out will the assassin become the Shardbearer like with filter kills or will the rebels just sort of be dead?

The Assassin died first vote it was TUA. So if Shardbearer gets voted off Loyalists just win.

And there's no chance anyone switched his role before then?

When did I ever not have you in my village tier xD

The roles were switched C1, so no.

I didn't think of this before when I said they were confirmed, but technically someone could have switched Striker and another, 3rd person's roles last cycle.

C1: Striker is Ghostblood Lightweaver, JNV is anything, 3rd person is Loyalist Edgedancer. Striker and JNV are switched.

C2: Striker is Ghostblood anything, JNV is any alignment Lightweaver, 3rd person is Loyalist Edgedancer. Striker and 3rd person are switched, then Striker dies.

C3: Striker is dead Ghostblood Edgedancer, JNV is any alignment Lightweaver still, 3rd person is Loyalist anything.

Though given the confusion Tani displayed between Striker and JNV's roles and the unlikeliness of this exact series of events means it's almost guaranteed that JNV is currently a Loyalist Lightweaver.

Thanks, it happened very suddenly

The title of our PM and wording of the rules imply there's only one Betrothed couple. So you know know one else has private messages now.

The complication this raises is that if we are v/v, the elims may be able to take down a third of the village in one shot. Or if I'd been exed and another person NKed, half the village would die in one cycle. Is that a risk GM Tani is willing to take, trusting we have some decent kill protection on our side and the advantage of a two man voting bloc for self preservation? Or did they pair me with a Ghostblood, whose would cause less of a swing? I'd pegged the odds at 50/50. (Yes I know they ostensibly RNGed it.)

I'd considered the possibility that they'd paired me with an elim as well, but if Jungle is evil, they can't kill me without killing themselves, so we should exhaust all other reasonable possibilities before checking them. Ghostbloods aside, it's basically a guaranteed tie, depending how the GM rules OOA.

I know that's not really a clear, so our announcement is basically bait. Either we survive and will use our votes to try and kill the last elim, or we'll die and save the village a mix. Given the strength of our position, I'm fine with either outcome.

So there's confirmed no other Betrothed but could still be Twins. Though I'm not sure how likely that is. At this point though if any 2 people claimed it they should be confirmed good cause there's only 1 Rebel left so they couldn't fake being twins with another Rebel. And yes putting that out does increase the odds of you dying since it's a 2-for-1 special when the Rebels are already behind. And since there isn't a Bondsmith we also know you two are telling the truth because there is no way for you to have secretly planned to fake being Betrothed.

And given Tani's seeming enjoyment of Chaos I could very well see one of you being a Rebel paired with a Loyalist or a Ghostblood. Or a Loyalist with a Ghostblood.

Edit: @Tani if the last Rebel and Loyalist were Betrothed and died simultaneously would both sides win since their objective was completed or once a team is eliminated can they no longer win?

    Fiend is Archer's girl????

Anyways I was going to start off with a vote on JNV, I think this needs to be cleared up. Tani was talking about Striker and accidentally said JNV? Or she was talking about Striker and accidently said JNV?

Mat not putting me in his Village tier is ?? Like I led the exes on both dead elims and identified plenty of villagers early on lol

JNV is confirmed village because they were an Edgedancer before they got roleswapped with Striker.

JNV was Lightweaver but is now Edgedancer and is still a Ghostblood.

    Edit: Wait.

I saw JNV, wrote JNV, and thought Striker.

This post is supposed to be talking about Striker.

I gotchu. Although my big fear this game is I'll get a kill role and accidentally murder someone I mean to protect. So, hopefully you don't die but I can't promise anything.

Karn, you should be able to guess why I'm voting for you... I'm a little sus that you haven't clarified things yet. But I'll leave that up to you, I guess. Late vote movements don't help anyone.

I believe the 1 condition you are told if your role changes is if you get a kill role.

    Clarified what?

    TJ Karnatheon

Wassat about? Also not a long post really, just went and ate dinner and stuff.

Also I'm not sure when it got added or edited in but TUA was an Assassin not the Shardbearer so something else definitely caused the kill to not happen. Either inactive Shardbearer or Bad Spheres or protection, or something.

@Tani We don't have to Redact right? Just post a new vote?

    VC:

    Szeth(2): Striker, Illwei

    TJ(1): Dannnex

    Dannnex(1): Szeth

    Karnatheon(1): Archer

I genuinely don't think the Messenger exists. The village will take guaranteed GB flip over possible mix C1, and there's no Deceptions C1, so they have no reason not to open wolf and explicitly ask to be exed.

Wouldn't people actively avoid voting for a Messenger though since they kill one of the people that votes on them if they get exed?

    1 hour ago, Experience said:

Honestly I think we should ignore the messenger completely at least in the beginning, because there's no point in double guessing literally all our reads (however terrible they are right now) and not going with them because we think they might want to die.

That's fair, if we never vote out of fear the elims would just win I guess.

  7. I don't know guys, I feel like Archer is kinda sus too, but that makes me think it's dangerous to vote for him. He "didn't notice" there was an Assassin, and then conveniently said he didn't think there was a Messenger. And I naturally view Archer as pretty trustworthy so maybe he's a Messenger and trying to be just obvious enough about it to farm votes?

I just got here and I have absolutely no clue what is going on.  Are we voting now?

Stupid question, but how do I change the color of someone's name?

You can do it that way, or if you're on PC you can just change the text color at the top of the text editor. And ya during this turn we can vote on who we think is evil and person with most votes gets exed. We could also vote saying we don't want to vote in order to not exe someone if we wanted.

Everything you say in that cycle should be a deception. You shouldn't just lie once and be done.

It doesn't have to be a verifiable deception.

Please don't cheat, even if it might seem easy to cheat with this thing.

And keep in mind: The Highprince can ask me to reveal who they acted on.

    Quote

Deceive: Basically the dictionary definition. You have to confuse people, in thread, PMs, and wills. You have to try to make others think what isn’t true. Mislead them. Lie to them, but not always - or they’d just know that what you said wasn’t the truth. If I catch you deliberately not misleading people, you die and I will be in charge of your will if you get one. If you make it obvious that you have to Decieve, you are instead Silenced for the remainder of the cycle and/or any future cycles you are acted on by the Highprince.

In your definition you say to not always lie so people don't know you're lying. So like an even mix of lies and truths?

"Another question," Vtlikv said. "I plan to goon an adventure of some sort. Where should I go to find one?"

"I'm not rightly certain. I heard about some people exploring the Other Side of the World, the Northern Sea. And there's a Tavern full of people. Got to be plenty of excitement there."

  11. So, we had previously voted against any non-Warhammer sci-fi being included. If we did end up going with an alternate universe system people we're talking about with a bunch of different worlds and such, I think it would be easier to introduce those types of things in other universes, which would allow for people to bring in whatever kind of stuff they wanted, just restricted to that universe. Just my thoughts. I don't really care either way

"Out off shear curiosity, have you heard about the new government?" Vtlikv asked.

"I've heard of it, yes. I don't put much stock in it though. The guilds are what caused all our problems, I don't think they're going to be the ones to fix them." Laonin replied.
