Thanks for showing me this! It does fly in the face of my theory a little bit, but emotional Allomancy HAS shown a spiritual element to it in the form of controlling hemalurgic constructs. Perhaps emotional allomancy IS enforcing a rhythm, just one with a particular effect on the person expirencing it. Just like how the song of prayer summons voidlight This statement does send my head spinning with questions If a singer that was a Seeker misting, could they start attuning the pulse they sense when someone burns steel? Could a duralmin enhanced emotional allomancer take control of a Singer? How does form taken and rhythm attuned affect the amount of spikes a Singer would need to be controled? Would a hemalurgic spike in a Singer need to touch the gem heart to be effective? Is a Singer's sentice-granting investiture kept in their gemheart? Is that why Eshonai and Venli had to take a void spren into their hearts to be controled?

You can use soothing and rioting to both change a persons emotional state and control a person. Since when a singer attunes a rhythm they influence there own emotions and since the link and between inquisitiors and forms of power are so strong, I posit that soothing and rioting are actually external forms of attuning rhythms. That could mean that humans are not oly affected by the rhythms and could have all of their emotions derive entirely from the rhythms, even if they can't hear it. A bit of a leap in logic, but it fits.

I just never see very many people talk about it, which is susprising, considering the implications toward soothing and rioting soothing and rioting,

Inquisitors can here the rhythms Evidence: Brandon said the rhythms are a cosmere wide phenomenon marsh said the spikes "throb [with pain]" and "are affected by his emotions" the definition of "throb" is: beat or sound with a strong, regular rhythm; pulsate steadily Kar linked different types of pain to emotions most notably "the pain of joy" And finally, the most convincing piece of evidence is how strikingly similar, Ruins control of Marsh, and Odium's control of Eshonai were: That of having their body, emotions, and very mind controlled by the shot, yet still able to reserve a small piece of themselves, able to break free of their control, if only for a moment.

From the album: Best in show
The Conch Canin is an ancient breed, almost dating back to the Shadow days, and is most well known for its two most prominent qualities, it’s astounding intelligence and it’s strong, perhaps infamous fear of highstorms. Due these factors it has been the perfect archetypal candidate for folk tales and songs. These stories usually take the structure of the axehound seeing something of value, a piece of bread or the like, and will challenge another animal (usually a chull or a cremling) to a battle of wits. At first it will appears as though the Conch Canin has the upperhand, using some trick to its advantage, but then, just when it seems like the axehound has won, the other animal will start acting like there is a high storm coming, the Canin, losing it’s nerve, will then flee in search of shelter, leaving the other animal to reclaim its prize, as well as something from the axehound. There are numerous variations of the tale, some feature more exotic animals, others end with the axehound winning, and, interestingly, one where there actually was a highstorm, causing the featured chull to pupate and keeping both animals unable to enjoy the fruits of their wit. Note: Recently there have been reports of suspicious persons keeping Conch Canin in cages outside during highstorms. If you witness any such things report it to your local citylord, or captain of the watch immediately.-

I miss kaladin...

That last option may have some teeth to it considering most wood on Roshar are soulcast, that soul casting proccess might make the "soul" of the object touch the physical realm just like the inverse of lift touching the cognitive realm. But Stick might be unrelated as he has transceded both mortal and immortal offences. He is a Stick.

I was re-reading Kaladin's spear Kata scene and I was wondering how he felt the spears Identity. Y'know how he felt "the spear knew what it needed to do" and how he felt the need to talk to it like Vasher did with his awakenings? Even light weavers don't interact that way with objects, so why can kaladin do it when we haven't even heard of the Nightwatcher nor Cultivation touch him?

It warmed my heart so much that they named their child after Tien. What kind of spren would he be called Conspirecy spren? Noble spren? Brandon did hint that if bonded the resulting radiant would get one surge from each order.
