  1. I was browsing at coppermind and neither the Order of Lightweavers page, nor the page for illumination mention anything of the form of lightweaving (and/or soulcasting) that gave the illusions wieght. Given how it was such a big part of the Battle of Thaylen Field, I believe it should be mentioned.
  2. It may be possible but I found a possible problem from coppermind wiki: "However, if the Feruchemist taps at a greater rate, then some of the attribute is lost, to facilitate the compression of the Investiture. This means that a Feruchemist who stores 50% of their strength for one hour might only be able to stay at 200% for 25 minutes, rather than a full half hour. The more a Feruchemist compresses the attribute, the more is lost."
  3. I was thinking you could potentiallyredirect bullets and the like by orbiting them around you and flinging them in a different direction,
  4. What method are you going to use to calculate the "integrity" of the line of warding? Take an average of several points in the loop to create a pefect circle and compare the deviance to the points of the circle?
  5. Makes you wonder Makes you wonder what the cognitive realm would look like if there was two perpendicularities on each side of the world and a very very large population set near each. Like, where would the center be?
  6. Do you think it would be better just to post it with no context?
  7. I know that this is most likely referring to a southern Scadrian around a perpendicularity but I haven't seen anybody talk about it.
  8. BTW do you guys think I should put this on Sanderson Memes with no context under a ROW spoilers tag just to mess with people?
  9. I did not expect to see Lokkall in Stormlight 5. Seven years with the ghostbloods and he proceeds to leave it all just to get the entire tower drunk. Personally I think the tipping piont was when he figured out how to get Spren intoxicated.
  10. It's a meme but...
  11. I honestly loved the foreshadowing for when Allomancer Jak appeared on Nalthis. And when he proceeded to fumble his way to killing every shade in the vicinity? Brillant. I get chills just thinking about it.
  12. I really didn't need to know the Horneaters "origins" in such...detail
  13. I'm surprised Shallan was actually a singer the whole time, Veil and Radiant? just two spren in her gem heart.
  14. I wonder if Kaladin has it and doesn't realize it. Maybe, like an unkeyed metalmind, you have to know you have it to access the power. But it still could still affect you even if you didn't know. It would explain how he survived things that would kill normal people, even before he got his powers. He went up against a full Shardbearer with nothing but a spear and won for Preservation's sake.
  15. Corncering the possiblity of Kelsier inertacting with the dawnshard, from "Hero of Ages: " ...[Demoux said] '[Vin] knew him, as did I. What she doesn't understand is that the Survivior has become so much more than the man Kelsier.....I'm saying he was a man, but a man who gained somthing- a mantel, a portion of something eternal and immortal. When he died, he wasn't just Kelsier the crew leader. Don't you think it odd that he was never Mistborn before the Pits" I intially assumed that Kelsier was not a dawnshard because his powers were not supercharged and his soul not as expanded someone who ascended. Though we know so little about Dawnshards that may or maynot be the case. Could each dawnshard give you a different art of investiture and still not expand your soul more than what the invested art would? Some I do think is a dawnshard is lord Praxton. The sandstorm he created did seem like super charged sand mastery and kenton compared it to an angry God.
  16. I suppose so. Either way it's not that useful of a comparison, but it's something. The pure investiture gaining sentience rule could tell us a little, would that make the ivestiture in cognitive shadows and sentient spren comparable to 1000 breaths or would it be less since a perfect gemstone was enough to contain an intelligent spren like Ba-Ado-Mishram. What would really help would be to know how much a standard breath is compared to the innate investiture in a human.
  17. That gives use an upper limit for the king's drop. So if we assume that perfect gemstones don't have any perpendicularity shenanigans going on, we can conclude despite being stupidly invested (the only possible loss of investiture being through conversion to light and still have not seen any noticeable difference through out known history) that perfect gemstones are lessinvested than nightblood.
  18. Found this in "Shadows of Self" I thought it was deserveing of attention.
  19. @Quantus where did you find practiced lurcher could pull torwards their hands instead of the "center of self"?
  20. 1) I wish Ham had more screentime, and more scenes from his prospective 2) for being such an instrumental character Doxson is horribly underutilised
  21. From the album: A lurcher with a secret

It's a character for a fan story in Era 2 I'm thinking of writng. If you look at his right hand it's translusent allowing you see the bone implying the presence of a Kandra. The Idea here is that as a child the character (Working name Caduel) lost his arm in factory work, soon after he found a very young kandra (though Caduel didn't know what it was at the time) only just learning to imitate flesh. With the Kadra's help Caduel has a working, living prosthesis. I want to use the story to create a mystery of who could be creating Kandra after the Catacendre, in addition explore the possblities of the powers offered by burning iron. I don't have a working name for the kandra yet, but I am how ever toying with idea of Caduel slowly discovering the kandra is fully aware, and for the kandra becoming somewhat of a little brother figure for Caduel.
  22. I feel the possiblities of burning iron have under utilized in mistborn compared to the tricks of other metals (ex. steel pushing letting you basicly fly, tin letting you detect poison etc.), so I want to write a fan story where the main character is lucher. I need some more Ideas on how utilise the power, so far I have: -seeing where metal objects are are Identifyimg which a which -using it to pull your self to increase your speed while in a wheeled vehicle (or pull on another vehicle?) -fastening on improvised armour -redirecting weapons in a predictable manner (catching swords, pulling bullets etc.) -shoot things given the opponent is between you and the object you are pulling or the object is behind you and the target is in front of you and you move out of the way just in time, -walk upsidedown on metal objects -bring metal things, like weapons or valubles, right to you -swing from metal object to metal obect like some kind of magnetic spider man? -levitate in place if between to metal objects up high -stop someone wearing in their tacks. if someone has anymore useful applications please let me know (side note, does anyone think there could be any way a lurcher or a coinshot could pull or push to specific parts of the body, like how they are able identify specific parts of metal objects and push them individually? like maybe if you split the soul with hemalurgy)
  23. Both have the same living energy about them despite in contrast to what one would expect both being in the literal or technological "past". By Presenting their characters in modern style rather than an archaic or classical format it gives a sense of things happening in the present allowing the audience to relate to the character in an easier and more immediatly than in other fantasy novels, like say, "The Hobbit".
  24. Alternative lyrics "Kaladin Stormblessed, my name is Kaladin Stormblessed, and I can't believe I'm under so much stess.... but just you wait, just you WAIT....."
