  1. I have no issues with Adolin not being punished. For starters, it was war. They were literally at war with Sadeas. i don't wanna hear how "Oh techinically no,", no after the tower, they were at war, Sadeus and Dalinar. I freaking hate political crap. I mean, I love it in narratives, but I hate it in practice. Sadeas had that coming to him in droves. An absolute sleaze of a man who just needed to die. I don't condone murder, obviuosly, but I don't consider that murder. Murder is a social construct, with a social definition. Legally, in most countries, there is such a thing as "Justifiable Homicide". If successfully proven in court that the homicide was justifiable, it is not considered a criminal act. Accodring to the all knowing Wikipedia, "The key to this legal defense is that it was reasonable for the subject to believe that there was an imminent and otherwise unavoidable danger of death or grave bodily harm to the innocent by the deceased when they committed the homicide. A homicide in this instance is blameless" I'd say that Adolin believed, and that absolutely nobody would deny, that there was an imminant and otherwise unavoidable danger of death or grave bodily harm to the innocent by the deceased when he commited the homicide. Therefore, I decalre Adolin blameless in this case. You can argue the definition of "immenent", but I'd just slap you and move on. Sadeas had already betrayed them, killing a good 60% or more of Dalinar's forces. Those men were innocent. And Sadeas was IN THE MIDDLE of GUARANTEEING that he would do EVEN MORE to Adolin at that moment. And I don't know about you, but I believe him. I believe he would have outsmarted Dalinar, and maneuvered things so he would take Uruthiru from him, and would kill more men doing it. Sadeas was guilty as sin, and his punishment was a death he deserved. In a dark corridor where no one could hear his little whimper as his eye popped like a grape.
  2. Honestly, I think Vin was a Pewter Savant by the end. She burned it constantly, and barely slept. it was always a low burn, but it was always burning.
  3. Thank you. It gets difficult, because you have to boil down the Shard to what it is without someone else's Intent distorting it. Like, Preservation is Inertia, and Ruin is Entropy. But the person who took Entropy viewed it as Ruin, and it became about Destruction, rather than just the gradual wearing out of all things. If we could find what the Shards actually are, then they'd fit a little better. But I do think they each have a push and a pull, and each one is external or internal. There being 16 of them, and Preservation wanting so hard to keep things the same, just seems to make it make sense.
  4. It's because none of the Shards were meant to be seperate. They are different aspects of what is essentially God's Person. Only because they are seperate, they lack the contects and restraint of the others. This is summed up in the one quote about Odium: "He bears the weight of God's own divine hatred, separated from the virtues that gave it context." Odium is passion and rage and hatred...but without a focus beyond what the Vessel decides. It wasn't MEANT to be like that. It was MEANT to be simply 1/16th of a part of a person. Honor wasn't meant to be just about oaths, but about bindings and unification. Tanavast interpredted that as Oaths, cause oaths bind and unify. But by itself, it just means keeping things together and not letting them divide. That's neither good nor bad. Preservation is Inertia. Ruin is Entropy. Neither are good or evil, they just are. Their Vessels decide what their Intent means, and can direct it to a certain extent, but in the end, the power is just the power. Cultivation is directed growth. Endowment is giving power to others. Devotion is about service, and Dominion about control. All can be good. All can be evil. It just depends on the Vessel. But none of them were ever meant to be seperate from each other. As seperate pieces, none of them are great. Endowment gives power to newborn infants, for crying out loud, and her magic system lead to the creation of Nightblood. When taken alone, they all fail to do what their supposed to: be gods. But together? One being with the power to bind, to sustain inertia, but also to allow entropy and decay, utilizing that to direct growth. A being who can feel passion and devotion, and who has dominion over all. And who uses his power to lift others up, and has Mercy and Valor. When taken altogether, you get a single being, where all the parts give context and nuance to all the others. Sazed has two opposing Shards, and doesn't have the right Intent while holding them. He believes himself to be Harmony, but he really shouldn't be. Neither should he be Discord. He should be Creation. Cause that's what they did together. They created a world and life and a peoples. But he's so insistant on keeping Harmony, that it's destroying him.
  5. I read through and it looks like you didn't add Steel and Iron to Offenses. Sure, having an aluminum gun may be good against beings that can heal, but anything made of metal is technically a bullet for them. A Mistborn can kill an entire group of regular people in a few minutes with a single nail. They could do that even better fighting soldiers wearing metal. Vin threw a group of horses using Duralumin and Steel. Other than that, I think it's a fairly decent analysis.
  6. Susebron himself might not be a match for Rashek, but Vasher with the same number of breaths? Yeah. I’d vote on Vasher. Mainly it comes down to being prepared. At the 10th Heightening, you can awaken everything around you. He’d have awakened armor, and remember Nightblood Himself was created by someone with the 9th Heightening. Yes, there were circumstances, but Vasher knows how to do that. And what would Awakened Armor of the same level be able to do? Who knows? Give him a room full of cloth and ropes and whatnot, and while possible that Rashek could just barrel through it, I don’t know. And while I know it’s hard to Awaken metalminds, it’s not impossible. Susebron is many times more invested than Rashek was by the end. He could awaken Rashek’s clothes, at least, and use them to destruct and confuse. it would be a tough fight, one Rashek might just win (because near infinite speed and Strength is almost an I Win button), but I’ve grown a new respect for Awakener and Returned recently. Cosmere Necromancy for the win!
  7. We’re going to have to give a little creative leeway, here, because there’s just so much we don’t know. So instead of just going back and forth, let’s work together to see what sounds reasonable given what we know. My character has the combined powers of a 9th Heightening Awakener and a 3rd Oath Bondsmith to the Nightwatcher, can Forge and has access to some Metalic Arts. I don’t mind giving up my Hemalurgic Spike if I need to use it to create the weapon, in which case we need to figure out which kind of spike I’d need, and what it could potentially do. Any Blade made would have a personality of some kind and be able to cut through anything with little resistance. That’s normal. It’s the other abilities we’d need to sus out. To be honest, Nightblood himself is almost too dangerous, even for a Bondsmith. He’d tear through any investiture given at a higher rate than could be pulled. So something similar but not exactly the same would be nice. for example, could I make a Blade that destroyed or disrupted Investiture, rather than absorbed it? Or perhaps something that uses Investiture to do something, such as blasts of power? Or perhaps it can deflect Investiture? If I can’t have an actual Nightblood (which I’d argue I could), then what is on the table? Edit: And…if it has different abilities depending on what it’s made of…could I…Forge it into different metals? Particularly if I acquired all the different metals before making it, making the Forging as simple as “I picked that metal instead”?
  8. But if that’s the case, then it severs the entire body, rather than just where it strikes. It still looks more like Awakening absorbing color to me. Either way, it’s obviously doing something different than a Rosharan Shardblades.
  9. Story time! My character is from Scadrial, and was born a Twinborn. Double Speed. Got into a lot of trouble here and there. Managed to get Spiked with Duralumin, got ahold of a rare Double Iron Medallion. Somehow made it off world during one of his adventures. He eventually found himself on Roshar, and got ahold of a Soulcaster. Very awesome. He learned how to use it, and realized he now had infinite money! He could just buy whatever he wanted. He had a run in with the Nightwatcher and got away unscathed, but always remembered it. Next world he went to was Nalthas, where he got into MORE trouble. Thankfully, his near infinite speed, and his Soulcaster, helped him a lot. His ability to basically create wealth is how he amassed so many Breaths. Unfortunately, this is where our hero’s story comes to an end. He tragically sacrificed himself for someone during a big event. It was very sad. There were tears. And he left all his Breaths in his cloak, with most of his memories, and nobody knew it. It was hidden away with his medallion. What a shame. Endowment decided to take pity on him and had him Return. Yay! But he Returned in Halandran. Not yay. Well, he started doing things and lived as a god for a while. Eventually, he remembered enough to find his old stuff, and upon gaining his Breaths back, also gained his memories! Yay! With his newfound power he left Nalthas and went around the Cosmere. Picked up Forging on Sel. Did a few other things. Got into a lot of trouble, but managed to run from most of it. Eventually his travels led him back to Roshar, finding the Nightwatcher. He was now much stronger than he had been before, and she was intrigued, so she bound with him. He is now a Bondsmith. Yay! During some point in there he created a suit of armor that is no where near as bulky as ShardPlate but grants many of the same benefits, enhancing his strength and speed even further and programmed to move him out of the way of an attack is coming he can’t see. He had to train with that a lot not to stumble when it happens. It also has an armored Mistcoat, with jagged spikes on the ends (thanks for the idea, @alder24!) He also made a Blade, which he heavily invested. I have a few ideas on what He could do with it. Like, could he make it out of Silver or Aluminum, and have it destroy investiture rather than absorb it? THAT would be helpful against ShardPlate and Blades. I think you can put breaths in Aluminum… In a fight with you other Uber invested entities, he uses his infinite speed to keep him ahead. His Blade and Mistcoat should be extremely dangerous, regardless of his abilities. Anyone without Plate of their own should just die. From the Coppermind: “Like many Shardblades, Vivenna's Blade has the ability to cut easily through any non-living substance nearly effortlessly.[3] Unlike Rosharan Shardblades, when Vivenna's Shardblade kills a human it does not cause their eyes to burn out, rather their entire body turns a strange ashen gray color.[4]” There is obviously something different going on with her blade. It’s apparently absorbing color, like what happens when you make a body into a Lifeless. So it’s absorbing SOMETHING.
  10. We can’t really say the blade COULDNT absorb investiture. Azure’s blade is doing something when it hits someone, as their skin turns grey. It could just be that Nightblood has been around longer, and thereby has absorbed MORE investiture. And Brandon said if the blade were made with different materials, it would have different abilities. We don’t know enough about awakening a blade to understand what it could do. But they ARE considered Shardblades, regardless, and the Fused were SCARED of Azure’s blade. They aren’t scared of Shardblades. My main point is that obviously a 9th Heightening Returned created Nightblood, and we have no indication of how they did that. So it is reasonable to assume that a character such as this could do so as well. Particularly with the powers of a Bondsmith. Awakened Plate would have different abilities than Living Spren Plate, which is why I say it’s on par. It could grant the same strength and speed, enhancing what the Returned already has. Vasher does that with Cloth, so obviously you could do it with armor. It can’t shift, perhaps, but it would do other things that would be on par, such as react to things I can’t see, and any number of other abilities we haven’t thought of yet. It would block other investiture, but I doubt it would block my own, as my own has my own identity. And even if it did, originally, I could just fix that with Bondsmithing. See above about being on par with living plate and blades. On par doesn’t mean exactly the same. The base abilities (cut through anything, grant enhanced strength and speed) would be the same. The other abilities (shifting form, dismissible, etc) would be different Perhaps I could make the blade funnel the Investiture it absorbs into ME. Or instead of just holding it, like Nightblood, I could make one that can use the Investiture in some way, like a blast of power or something silly like that. There’s no way of knowing what’s possible. Just that making Awakened Blades is possible, and in one case it became the most powerful item I the cosmere short of a Shard And again, if we’re letting people choose Dawnshards, for crying out loud, then Nightblood should be on the table as well for someone with the 9th Heightening.
  11. The City invites you O.O
  12. I was going by what the Coppermind said. It used the word "Superhuman". But even if it is just that they are all Captain America, that's insane. For those who don't know, Captain America's "powers" is that he is, at the same time, as strong as the strongest human ever, as fast as the fastest human ever, as agile/flexible as the most agile/flexible human ever, and has the endurance of the longest distance runners. He can sprint at top speed forever without getting tired. Most weight lifters either go for endurance or strength, because its nearly impossible to have both. The strongest man in the world, Louis Cyr, is recorded to have lifted a platform on his back holding 18 men weighing over 4,000 pounds, lifting over 500 lbs with a single finger, push a freight car up an incline, and held ropes tied to four horses, two in each hand, and held them in place as they whipped the horses trying to pull him. He is on reccord doing these things. Captain America can do that without getting tired. Which means that's what you're saying Returned can do. They can do all those feats of strength and hold them without getting tired, and can run as fast as Usain Bolt. The sheer combination makes them, very possibly, some of the most potent invested individuals in the cosemere. Even Mistborn Pewterdragging get tired, and it's dangerous for them do to it. A Returned could have made those trips without even getting winded. The Coppermind actually says the Divine Breath is a Splinter of Endowment. Scadrial only had one Splinter. Nalthas has dozens, and more all the time. Edit: the main issue is, in the books, they don't DO much. They live lives of indulgence and gluttony. But that's just it. They don't atrophy. They don't wear down. They will always be that strong, no matter their lifestyle. That's insane.
  13. This wasn't mentioned, but Returned themselves. Currently, in Hallandran, the Returned are revered as Gods, but after some consideration, I would put them on par with Mistborn, Feruchemists and even some Knights Radiants, partcularly if trained well. They're immortal, so they could live a LONG time, even if most don't. They have Superhuman Strength and Speed, which suggests, to me, that they might be stronger and faster than someone burning Pewter. They also have some shapeshifting capabiilty, and do not need to eat or drink to survive. They just need Investiture, of which there are countless ways to get. And they do not atrophy. They remain as strong as they are potentially forever. We haven't really seen them in combat much, but a Returned wearing Awakened Gear is a powerhouse, as seen by Vasher and Denth. Awakeners would be considered seperate from Returned, but since they can fairly easily go together, that makes them on par with any Knight Radiant. So basically, they have a good counter against any invading Invested individuals. The only thing I can compare them to is, actually, Heralds. But Heralds can get drunk and go insane. Returned cannot, according to the Coppermind. Heralds are PROBABLY on a higher level than Returned, but they are quite similar beings. One is just made from Honor's Investiture, and one from endowment's. Also interesting note, the Coppermind says Returned actually RETAIN their souls when they return, unlike what Zahel believes. Zahel believes himself to be, essentially, power made sentient in a dead body, infused as the soul was left behind, but that's apparently not the case.
  14. I've been doing research on Returned, Heightenings and Azure's sword and all that, and while Nightblood is stronger, it looks like Azure's blade is still significantly powerful, seeing as if they ever met "Extremely bad things would happen." So even if I can't make an exact replica of Nightblood, I can still create a blade that is similar. It might have different abilities, but as a 9th Heightening, I can create one with more investiture than a Shardblade. Returned are bonkers, btw. Superhuman Strength and Speed from the get go. No need to eat or drink, immune to all poisons as well as Insanity. Their bodies are their perfect vision of what the perfect body is, and is almost always around 7 ft tall. They don't atrophy, or age. How do Returned compare to, say, someone burning Pewter? The only examples we see in books are Denth and Vasher, and Denth is insanely fast. Vasher beat Kal in a fight, and to be honest, I'm not sure if Kal could beat Vasher even now. The only thing I have to compare a Returned to, to be entirely honest, is a Herald, minus the Honorblades. I mean, they're basically the same thing, just one's made with Endowment and the other with Honor's investiture. But Denth moved at the same superhuman quickness as Taln when he caught the dart. I'm trying to work out the best way to go about this, though. As a Returned, I need a breath, so being able to motabolizre food into Lifelight is a must. As is being able to actually use that Lifelight. Then being able to compound Bendalloy. Those are all musts. As an Awakener, though, I don't need, or really even want, Shardplate or blades. I'll literally just make my own. An Awakened suit of armor should be at the very least on par with even Living Plate, and potentially superior depending on the commands. An Awakened Blade, whether exactly like Nightblood or something on par, would at the very least be on par with a Shardblade, if not superior. The rest is kind of up for grabs. I've basically spent 5 on Returned, 400 on 9th Heightening, and 48 on Bendalloy Twinborn and a Medallion with A-Chadmium and F-Steel. That's only 453 points for what I want. Plus however many points the Boon/Bane should be. Which really, it's just trading one thing for the other, so it should almost be free, but I don't mind putting a few points into it. You know what? I wasn't going to do this. But.. Bondsmith. 3rd Oath. 500 points. A Returned, 9th Heightening Bondsmith, and I wouldn't even need the Bendalloy. Or the Boon/Bane. I could just summon my own Storm/Tower/Lifelight, and never need to worry about eating my Breaths. Plus opening perpendicularities, and having control over Connection. And all the Awakening powers. Yeah. That's 905 points. I have 95 points to add. I need some metalic arts. No need for Bendalloy, now. So let's Twinborn, double Steel. That's 24. One Medallion granting both F-Iron and A-Iron (Could you compound with this?). Another 24. Halfway there at 48. Since I've done the other two Metalic Artss from Scadrial, may as well have a Hemalurgic Spike. Let's grab Duralumin. Cause why not? That's 12, so 60 total. I have 35 left. Let's grab Forgery. Might as well have SOMETHING from Sel. 25 left. A Larkin. 20 left. A Soulcaster. Yep. That's all of them. Final Answer: I'm a Returned (5) with the 9th Heightening (400), a 3rd Oath Bondsmith bound to the Nightwatcher (300). I am a Double Steel Twinborn (24) with a Medallion granting both A-Iron and F-Iron (24), and a Hemalurgic Spike granting Duralumin (12). I can Forge, which should be interesting with my power over Connection. I also have a full Soulcaster and I ride a Larkin. First thing I do is craft my armor and weapon, which should be on par, or nearly so, with Nightblood. At LEAST on par with Living Plate and Blade, even if it can't shift. I have speed to keep up with the Twinborn, and my pushes and pulls on metal should be insanely powerful with F-Iron and A-Duralumin. My 9th Heightening grants all kinds of Awakening options and I can do it instinctively, and I have all the Bondsmith shenannigans. I may even be able to give Boons and Curses. Forging is just for some extra versitility. The Soulcaster keeps me with the right metals, and the Larkin is my mount cause that's just awesome. Yep. That's my final answer.
  15. Sure, but he was also created by a worldhopper with the 9th Heightening, likely mixing various investitures. If we can have Dawnshards, I can have a Nightblood copy. Edit: Also, Dustbringers are aparently tinkerers, according to the Coppermind. They like to figure out how things work.
  16. Yeah, a Fullborn can compound Bendalloy, but it also costs almost 400 points. If I wanted to be a Fullborn and a 9th Heightening Awakener, I'd spend almost 800 points. Not enough to grab a 4th Oath and be an Elantrian. The main point was to use the Metalic Arts to fuel the others via Bendalloy compounding, grab Nightblood or something similar, and still have enough to get Elantrian (for the Aons) to cover any additional abilities. And I had enough to grab a few Medallions and an Aether. Couldn't do all that if I was a Fullborn as well. Also, being a Returned grants all kinds of stuff we don't really know. Dent was insanely fast. Vashar can pretty handily beat Kaladin in a fight. They have at least some shapeshifting ability, and strength and attributes beyond a normal human. It's kinda hard to tell, but I'd bet a Returned is basically like someone on Pewter at all times. They are their perfected Spiritual Self in physical form. If Vashar and Dent are any indication, I'd say a Returned could hold their own in the VS matches we've been doing lately. But yeah, being a Fullborn with 9th Heightening would be insane. I just feel like having a Nightblood copy is pretty much an I Win button. I'll figure it out. But def going 9th Heightening. Ah, good. Well, considering all of our characters are worldhoppers, and we are all mixing varoius kinds of Investiture, I'd say it's certainly plausible, particularly with the 9th Heightening. The 6th gives you instinctive Awakening, and every level above that makes it more powerful, and easier to intuit more complicated commands. So knowing Nightblood was Steel, and knowing we are all worldhoppers with multiple forms of Investiture, Imma say yeah, I can prolly sus it out. I'll keep working on it, though. I'm not completely satisfied. This kind of stuff always keeps me up late, lol.
  17. So what you're saying is I need to grab that bag of Atium and smelt it into a Sword first...Though, im pretty sure there's a WoB that says Nightblood wasn't made from Atium...
  18. With the 9th heightening, you can instinctivly Awaken, and you can awaken Stone and Steel. Shashara was the 9th Heightening when creating Nightblood, and he only had one simple comand, "Destroy Evil." It takes 1000 breaths, which the 9th heightening has in droves. Technically, I could create an entire suit of Awakened Armor. Edit. There's also all kinds of things we don't know about Awakening that you'd learn by the 9th Heightening. How to store memoreis, for example, and break another Awakener's hold on an Awakened object. I completely overlooked the whole Awakening thing the first time. having the 10th Heightening is too restrictive, but being an immortal Necromancer who can create a weapon that can kill a god? Yeah. That's awesome.
  19. My Second Character: Returned. Cause I like Returned. 5 points. Twinborn. Double Bendalloy. 24 points. (29) (Ha! Didn't see that one coming, did you! Medallions granting F-Steel and A-Cadmium. 24 points (53) 4th Oath Dustbringer. 300 points.(353) 9th Heightening. 400 points. (753) Elantrian. 200 points. (953) Aetherbound (Midnight Essence). 24 points (977) Soulcaster. 20 points. (997) Boon/Bane: 3 points (1000). Boon is to use Lifelight the way Lift does. Bane is to be unable to use Stormlight regularly. I feel that, for an average person, that's a pretty even trade that shouldn't cost too much, even if I am using it to cheese. First thing I do is use my 9th Heightening to create a copy of Nightblood. I'd compound my last good dinner to get an insane amount of nutrition stored in my Bendalloymind, one for food and the other for water. That's what would feed Nightblood, my Surges, my Returned status, and my Aethers. Basically infinite, or near infinite, Lifelight/water/sustenence. And I have Steel speed and Time Bubbles. I can't compound the speed, but that's ok. It's for small bursts when y'all Fullborn come at me. Having both Time Bubbles is important, because I should be able to burn both at the same time, creating an area around me of slowed time that I am not included in. Basically, the faster time is a smaller bubble than the slower time, and where they meet cancels each other out. It puts a ring around me of slower time, so when y'all speedy gonzalases come through, I can catch you in it. With my own Nightblood, I should be able to break through all y'all's Living or Dead Plate, destroy your blades, and one touch and you die. The d**** thing killed a god with one good stab. Having Living Plate with near infinite Lifelight to power my surges, my healing and all that, and I'm nearly unstopable. Take Elantrean for the lulz. Seriously, anything I need to do, I can do with the Aons. They're just too useful. Oh, and I can instinctivly awaken anything within the sound of my voice, so all y'alls clothes are about to strangle you. And that doesn't even mention my Midnight Essence and my Division. I am death, destroyer of worlds. Pretty sure I win.
  20. The short story explicitly states that Rysn can't actually use the Dawnshard because she has no access to Investiture, and she was forbidden to have access to Investiture because of this. It's right there, in the book. You can choose to ignore what's right there in the book, thereby destroying the integrity of this mental exersize, or you can pick some kind of surgebinding or access to Investiture. It's really a simple fix. As for the Hordling thing...I honestly don't think they could even have a Nahel bond. They could maybe have Allomancy, as each hordling is technically a descendant, so one eats a Lerasium bead and every one after has it. Maybe they could have Feruchemy, though we still don't know where that came from. But even something like Breaths would be hard. But it's an option, so whatevs. The problem with being able to choose Dawnshards is we don't know what it means. We know "Powerful", but have absolutly no idea what that actually means. Sure, a Bondsmith Dawnshard destroyed a planet. But how? What did he do? How did he do it? How did it look? We don't know, so it becomes another force field dog eating dinosaur. Ok. Strategy. I mean, it's not difficult to see. A Fullborn with near infinite attributes coupled with the protection of Plate and the offense of a Blade, using Abrasion to increase speeds past what would otherwise be safe. I would have a frick ton of Steel and Zinc on my body to act as metalminds, Invested to the hilt and looking for somewhere to stick it. Speed would be my go to, but I wouldn't neglect the others. I wish I knew how Division worked, because from what the Coppermind says, it's basically artilary. It's pure destruction, and I'd have full access, being 5th Ideal. I'd have a number of Aons etched in small squares that would be a part of my clothing under my Plate. Their primary purpose would be teleportation, shifting to the CR, and the like, as well as defensive shields of various kinds. I'd rather my Plate be a last resort. I'm really enjoying this. I'm going to make a secondary character just to see what happens.
  21. Yeah, but I'm wanting to be an edgedancer with my enetire body immune to wind resistance. I think Dead Plate would nix that. So imma nix the dead plate and switch a few things up. Dead Plate is 24. Imma go from Lerasium Mistborn to regular, which is an additional 108 for a total of 132 points. As cool as Midnight Essence is, I think I'll nix being Aetherbound. That's another 24 points for a total of 156. I will also give up my Aviar and my Larkin. I feel like I went too broad the first time around. So 173, now Go big or Go Home. Imma spend 150 to up my Radiant Oath to 5th lvl. No idea what that entails, but I have Living Plate, and my Surges should be top notch. I was going to do Edgedancer, but I realized Dustbringers also have Abrasion, as well as Division, and this is a fight, afterall. So Imma change my order to Dustbringer. That gives me 23 points to work with. I willl spend 20 on another Surge Fabriel, this one for Regrowth. And I have 3 points. I'll put them in with my Breaths, to up it to the 2nd Heightening, so 200 Breaths. I still believe I can compound them, as Brandon RAFO'd when someone asked if that was possible. But for now, this works. So now I am a Returned (5) Fullborn (384) Elantrean (200), and a 5th ideal Dustbringer (350). This is a total of 935. I have a Primer Cube (5), a Steelpushing Hemalurgic Spike (12), a Soulcaster and a Regrowth fabriel (40), and 200 breaths minimum, if not compounding thousands more. I think that works. All my shenanigans from before are still there, and I still have a lessor form of Regrowth. But I also have Division, Living Plate, and whatever else the 5th ideal gives. I'm losing out on the Aether and some pets, but that's fine.
  22. And you didn't even mention Pewter. Yeah, combining the powers of various worlds, compounding becomes insanely broken. Nicrosil stores investiture. So become a Radiant, store some Stormlight, then compound it. Infinite Stormlight. Go to Nalthas, grab some breaths (which doesn't even require anything but money), then compound them. Instant 10th Heightening or higher. Grab some Dor, refine it, store it, compound it, infinite raw investiture that you can use for just about anything. Become an Edgedancer or Dustbringer with double Steel and you can go as fast as you want without worry of air resistance. Gain some breaths, and store the Lifesense in a Tinmind, then compound it to increase it's range or accuracy.
  23. This is Dragonball Z levels of insane, lol. If we're cheating the system, then I'm a 10th heightening Awakener even though I only took 1 point of Awakening. Feels contrary to the spirit of the game, however. Everyone's a Fullborn Elantrean Radiant, because why wouldn't you? Question: if I wore Dead Plate, would that interfere with my own abilities?
  24. Goodness would I ever. Ok. Here goes. I am a Returned. I get the 5th Heightning with only 5 points, among other things. Returned seem to possess insane physical abilities if Denth and Zahel are any indication. I need breaths to live but I can deal with that. I am a Lerasium Mistborn for 300 points. I am a full Feruchemist for 192 points. That's a total of 497. I will spend 1 point to grab 50 breaths, which is what it takes to get to the 1st Heightening. I don't do this for the heightening, as I already have the 5th, but I do it so I can compound it. I can store breaths in Nicrosil, and then compound that. So I have infinite breaths. If I wanted to cheese it, I could say I have the 10th heightening for no additional points, but instead, I'm just going to use this to keep me alive indefinitely, casue Returned. Also for Awakening. I have however many Breaths I need for Awakening purposes. That's 498. Let's see. I'll grab Elantrian for 200, because duh. That ALSO makes me immortal, but that's fine. AON Dor just gives too many useful abilities. That puts me at 698. 3rd Oath Edgedancer. Now I can use my Compunded Speed without the worry of Wind Resistance, and can heal OTHER people, one of the most useful of the abilities that I don't think is actually found anywhere else. It also gets me a shiny sword :D. 898. I have 102 points left. I'll be Aetherbound. I don't know which Aether, though, as we've only seen two, Rosite and Verdent. I wouldn't want either of those. Probably either Sunlight or Midnight Essence. That would be awesome. I'd have infinite water from compounding Bendalloy. Let's do that. Midnight Essence. I can make minions! That leaves me with 78 points. Soulcasting Fabriel. One that can Soulcast anything. Always have my metals. 58 points left. Dead Shardplate. Not sure if this would interferer with my other abilities. 34 points left. Primer Cubes and a Larken. 24 points left. Aviar. I have no idea what kind. The Coppermind says there grant abiilties that are similar to many allomantic abilities, or even surges. The only ones we've seen are the future site and what is basically a copper cloud. I already have copper clouds, so I guess Future Site is like a poor man's Atium. No where near as potent, but still good. Might change if I hear of other kinds of Aviar. I have 12 points left. Hmm. Ah. One Hemalurgic Spike. Imma take Steel Pushing. Double my already prodigious Steel Pushing ability. Being a Lerasium Mistborn, I should be able to push objects inside people at this point. Ok, final Character Sheet: Returned, Lerasium Mistborn, Feruchemist, Elantrian, 3rd Oath Edgedancer, Aetherbound to Midnight Essence. I am spiked with a Steelpushing spike. I also have in my posession a Soulcasting Fabrial (universal), Dead Shardplate painted blue and gold, Primer Cubes, a Larken and an Aviar. So essentially, I was born a Terrasman, as a full Feruchemist. I then ate a Lerasium Bead, and at some point died and Returned. I compounded Connection while in Elantris to Connect myself to that location, tricking the system into selecting me to become an Elantrian, and made a deal with the Primal Aether of Midnight Essence. At some point, I killed a Steelpusher and took his power into me. I have near infinite of all ferchemical attributes, double steelpushes, am immortal twice over, and am protected from Shardblades with my plate. I can make myself frictionless while using my compounded speed to move at near limitless velocity, with the compounded Zinc to keep my mind up to such speeds. With double Lerasium, Duralumin enhanced Steelpushes and no friction, my jumps are much larger than normal. It's not flight, but it'll due in a fight. I'll never run out of metals (soulcaster), Stormlight or Breaths (Nicrosil Compounding) or Water (Bendalloy Compounding), so I can use my surges of healing and abrasion, Awakening and Midnight Essence with impunity, not to mention my feruchemical atributes. My Aviar warns me of oncoming death, my Larkin helps against enemies as powerful as I, and my Primer Cubes can let me Leach from a distance. They can apparently hold quite a bit of essence, so I just soulcast a gigantic Chromium spiike, pierce my arm with it, and use Duralumin to help me burn the thing into the Primer cube. Should be able to take out just about anything using Investiture at that point. Yeah. I'm satisfied. This is awesome. Should totally make it an RPG of some kind.
  25. Hoid, the Narrator, mentions offhand about "They got weirder when Sazed released them". So I guess at some point, Sazed lets them go off to do whatever they want. And, well, if YOU weren't tied to any particular look and were free to pursue whatever you wish, then I'm sure after a few centuries you'd be all kinds of eccentric as well, lol.
