  1. Plate has an eye slit, hence it is not air-tight. That suggests nerve gas. Flamethrowers might also work. It probably wouldn't kill a Knight Radiant, but an ordinary shard bearer would be in trouble.
  2. You wouldn't. But if you are facing an enemy that has access to the surges, you might still want armor. But that is the point. Wax identified "eka-boron" in the alloy. That is probably scandium in our terminology. If you can make guns out of that alloy, why not armor? It can be industrially massproduced, unlike invested armor.
  3. Why would you bother with that if you already had the alloy used in aluminium guns?
  4. Does a Shard wanting things to grow really like technology?
  5. Well, yes, but that raises the question whether the colonial animals making up Aimians are the only species feeding on stormlight to be found on Aimia. That sounds rather unlikely to me. Most species have some relatives.
  6. Well, that is pretty mild for people who threaten your life in blackmail. But it leaves open two questions. Why doesn't he just kill her as she threatens him? Why bother? If the revelation does not matter, why not just pick somebody else and ignore her?
  7. I don't think so, as Ruin was also involved in feruchemy. And I don't really see how the other end-neutral system can be explained by the nature of the Shard. The two rather obvious (and therefore likely wrong) candidates are the withering process of shades on Threnody, which appears to be powered by the victim's investiture which is subsequently gone the stormlight sucking winged cremlings (is it proven that they are Aimians?) Whatever happens on the Threnodian mainland And if we go by obscurity What magics are operational on Braize? Is there magic on the dark side of Taldaine?
