  1. ... I've already told the owl to fly into the back room by itself but maybe I can go investigate there too, because why not
  2. "No, Heer, these scissors aren't for you, it's okay," Aname sighed, breath misting onto the shop window. She exited Snip's shop and wove through the gathering crowd, gait still sharp and hurried despite her lightened mood. Aname held out her fingers for the fluffy owl to land on. She smiled faintly as she scratched Heer Kilyal's head. Softly, Aname spoke: "Look, I'd love to crash home today and I know you do too. It's cold, I get it. You must be real tired from flying around all day. But could you do me a favor and listen in on what's going on in the back room, with the shop owner?" @Coop772
  3. Aname held the scissors in her hands as if it were a child. She was almost afraid to touch the serrated obsidian edges, sharp on both sides rather than just in the middle. The scissors' grip was balanced just like a sword. "... It's wonderful." @Snipexe
  4. Aname Plees banged on the shop's door for the third, fourth time. Sigh. "Someone's got to be in there, right? It says the shop is open..." Sigh. Just as Aname was about to scamper away in frustration, a man came to open the door. "FINALLY," Aname scoffed. "Lord Ruler, what took you so long to open that door? Anyways, I'll be needing those obsidian scissors." Obsidian scissors. With those, Aname could finally be free. She closed her eyes and began to fantasize, like she so often did, about koloss falling like logs, sheared from the battlefield with a snip powerful as the mists themselves. Finally. After months, years, of saving up her meager earnings, of training to punch harder and run faster. Aname Plees was going to crush that koloss army and no one could stop her. @Cadmium Compounder @Snipexe
  5. Woah, I was certain my WTCC submission would be ignored forever... XD but it was actually in this one! Thanks guys! I will note that one of the clues I sent was, different from what you guys said here, but now that I think about it, the one you guys used works just as well (or maybe better). Anyways, it was awesome seeing if you would guess my character.
  6. I like that. I feel like it might be OP for the village near the end of the game if the elims decide to out themselves and hammer it out, since a coinshot can just redirect a kill onto a known elim (who has a good chance of appearing as one of the random names given). Also, since a Coinshot finds out who is going to be nightkilled, those people are almost guaranteed villagers, and that'll greatly narrow down the potential number of suspects. (And an elim Coinshot will make little to no sense, so a Coinshot by nature is pretty much cleared if they can prove their role.) However, it's a really cool idea and those are just some possible interesting things that can happen with it. Edit: Some updated rules for my hemalurgy LG are going to be posted soon, so there's also that.
  7. Fiiiiiine. Give me a name please, but I'll be one of Elend's skaa representatives, an outspoken woman who wants to join the forces against Lekal.
  8. Alright, so today to follow through on my agreement with Maill (which extends until the end of today) I'm placing a vote on Steel. Honestly I'd be fine with that, since Steel has been giving some sketchy reasons for voting on both Ark and Elandera - I don't mind voting because of agreeing with other people's logic but his vote on Elandera just seems like bandwagoning. As for Maill and CadCom, they're pretty much the only possible elim leads I have so far, which is why I've slightly been tunneling on them but I'll think about other players and reads as well.
  9. I'm suspicious partly because of who he told me to vote for. I was completely fine with the exchange, which was why I suggested it.
  10. The strawman belongs to me. I offered to Maill that I would vote for whoever he told me to last cycle and double said vote with the strawman, in exchange for his 3 breath. Maill accepted that offer and told me to vote for Ark. I have multiple reasons now to find Maill suspicious. First of all, his pushing to lynch someone who turned out to be a villager could be in defense of elim!CadCom or elim!Sart (probably CadCom, for reasons that I'll go into later). Secondly, Maill and CadCom have both expressed suspicion of Steel (Maill in thread, CadCom in PM where he didn't tell me not to spread it so I'm assuming I can), and although it can be considered a coincidence, they might just be deflecting suspicion off of themselves and onto someone else who lynched the same villager. That would have been a good idea. At first I wanted to just share it with some people and not others, but eventually I just started PMing more and more people until I realized that I had PMed it to everyone XD However, with only a few people knowing it, the only case that would have provided information would have been if CadCom died (and I would have therefore been able to narrow down the suspects as you've mentioned). If CadCom would have survived in this case, then I would gain almost no information, as there would be various possibilities: The people I PMed happened to be village, or the elims hadn't gotten around to killing him for unknown reasons, or CadCom is elim. In the case that I PM everyone, I'm guaranteed to reach the elims, so they must have kept CadCom around for some sort of reason.
  11. Alright, let's get this straight: I have let everyone know about CadCom's claim to me. It was the highest amount of Breath that I have heard anyone claim so far. It would only make sense for the elims to hear about this, and thus kill CadCom in an effort to get some village Breath. CadCom was not killed. Although I understand that Devotary might have been decided on as a better choice, this makes CadCom look somewhat suspicious to me. Now, if I were an elim, remember that I would have no need to spread his claim. I could have just said it in the doc. No need to tell the villagers as well. @Elandera, you claim that this has tipped the game in favor of the elims. What could have the elims done with this information? Killed CadCom. Or at least tried to get him lynched. CadCom is still alive and no new votes were placed on him after my spreading of his claim. And yeah, I guess playstyle differences come in here as well, since I've generally been more apt to reveal and trade information (and it's one of my favorite parts of SE, to be honest).
  12. Hmmmmmm. I'd say that out of all the people with votes on them, I can't really think of a good excuse to vote for any one of them, but I want to vote for someone, so Ark it is.
  13. If we're lynching just to gain Breath, why don't we lynch the person who has claimed to have more breath than anyone else so far? Maill has claimed 3. Steel and I have claimed 1. I don't recall anyone else claiming. The only thing I particularly have against lynching Maill is that his auction intrigues me. So I'll wait and see how things go.
  14. N'Nairim sat up in her bed while her father was sleeping. The stars were unusually clear today. They beckoned to the sleepless Nai as her thoughts swirled with frustration. She should be allowed to help, to participate. It didn't matter that she was still a girl, or that she might get caught with her hair changing - revealing her identity as a royal bastard. She was tired of being kept safe. So, for the first time, her heart racing, Nai gathered a long strip of cloth that she had prepared, infused it with her single breath, and climbed out the window. Free. Who knew that a bastard, kept hidden in servants' quarters her whole life, could actually amount to something?
  15. This game was freaking awesome. Man, it was so entertaining to see how long I could survive. This was my first real taste of being evil and it gave me a chance to see how different it is from being village. As for claiming Stonespren, it was the best role I could claim. Not only was it difficult to prove, but I had a one-use item that could craft an essence item for half its cost. So I could actually "prove" it and get away with it. Obviously, between conversions and being burnt, I never got around to that. However: I ABSOLUTELY could not have pulled it off without my teammates. @Devotary of Spontaneity, you are brilliant. You see through so many possibilities and there were countless times when you've pointed out flaws in my arguments or details in my plans that I'd never thought about. It was wonderful working with you. @Levitaph, I was incredibly proud of my decision to convert you. I'm impressed that you managed to guess both of the elims C2, and I just knew that despite being new, you'd be a strong addition to our team. I really hope you warmed up to Enlightenment and I'd love to see you around in more games. @Furamirionind, I think I converted you just in time. If I had done that any later, you would have become a driving force for the village. You were incredibly fun to have around in the doc (you kept it very active ) and you had so many ideas and plans and I look up to you so much as a player. @xinoehp512, I didn't really get a chance to interact with you as you were mostly inactive and I died once you joined the elim doc, but I do highly appreciate the activity that you did put in once you were converted. Thank you all so much. I couldn't have done it without you. Also, congratulations to everyone who suspected me. You guys made the game so much more entertaining and fun as I was on edge all the time. Thank you as well to @Steeldancer and @Mailliw73 for running the game.
  16. First of all, know that all of you have my love and support. Mental health has affected me relatively little and honestly most people I know who have mental conditions have it much worse than I do, but nonetheless I guess I'll step in and share my story as well. I have Asperger's and it's mild even for AS, though there's still ways it affects me in my daily life, mostly small things such as hesitating for a solid 3 seconds while sifting for an appropriate response to "How are you?". It's hard sometimes feeling like there's some kind of wall that prevents me from connecting with people and vice versa but honestly I've improved so much as a person throughout my life and this year has been one of my happiest so far. Finding online communities has helped immensely, as typing lets me express myself freely without the difficulty of maintaining spoken conversations and I've met so many AWESOME people who are kind, welcoming, fun, supportive, and share my obsessions Roleplaying and SE especially have been amazing in helping me find and express myself. Not many people IRL know that I have Asperger's because of the stigma around it and the fact that people will probably judge me differently if they think about me that way. Here, though, you guys are so accepting and I feel safe here. Again. I love all of you. I am here if you ever need to vent about something. I'm far from perfect but I promise that I'll listen.
  17. I don't think I'd be a great target either, @Snipexe. I just had this odd gut feeling that I was going to die this cycle...
  18. I was just voting. The people who actually hammered weren't me. I have no idea how I'm suddenly involved in the hammering just because I happened to vote on the same person, hours before rollover, and I had a rationale.
