  1. What do you think about an Infinite Improbability Drive that works on Feruchemical chromium? It would have a large chromium "tank" that you would tap with something improbable in mind while travelling in space.
  2. I am planning to create a group of astronauts that will go off-world on a FTL spacecraft. Hasn't been built yet tho, hoping for some help from the Craftsmen
  3. Zalhoid exulted. It worked! It finally worked! After 2 years of testing, Zalhoid had managed to send a rat all the way to Scadrial and back, and that in less than 15 minutes. He wiped his brow as he considered the applications of his discovery. "We must construct a spacecraft immediately. I will have to ask the Guild of the Craftsmen for help."
  4. Zalhoid, in his own time, was exulting over the fact that his laboratory had survived the war. He was ready to keep experimenting on this new line of ideas. More precisely, he was trying to combine Feruchemy and quantum physics. He was closer to that breakthrough than he thought was even possible...
  5. @Archer @Kidpen I see you too are men of culture
  6. Name: Zaphoid Beeblerock Investiture: A-Steel and F-Nicrosil Weakness: He trusts almost everyone he knows and he is somewhat gullible. Special abilities: He spends most of his time filling his nicrosilmind and so spends most of it without Allomantic power, except while he trains using them. He is very good at modifying his perception and manipulating his steellines. He is good at throwing stuff and changing their trajectories. Weapons: Nicrosil bracers, harmonium grenades, smoke bombs and glass shurikens. He also Pushes lots of random stuff around. Appearance: Tall, has 2 heads arms and legs, wears a black cloak almost all time. Black hair, blue eyes. Has a scar on his right eyebrow. Backstory: He is born poor, but becomes rich when he accidentally protects a passing nobleman from a murderer. That is when he discovers his Allomantic powers, and he later pays for a Metalborn test. He is one of Scadrial's first astronauts, and he has developed a working space shuttle, and stops by the Alleyverse every now and then. He is in the process of inventing a FTL drive that functions with the Metallic Arts. He is not Cosmere-aware, he just discovered the Alleyverse by chance while testing a new telescope. @Archer put this up please!
  7. I thought of a rhyme: "A ferry ferrying a fair spacefaring Ferring faring fairly well in a fairing" but it was too long a username so I just called myself Spacefaring Ferring. By the way, can't you change your username?
  8. OH. MY. GOD. Stormlight Secret History! How epic would that be! We could have Jasnah's entire trip to Shadesmar and maybe also Azure's? Brandon has to do this. He has to.
  9. HA ! You actually said it! Thanks for all of your Breath
  10. I believe Feruchemy to be of Harmony.
  11. Actually, I wonder if the fact that you can't see Invested metal with Steelsight also apply to metal detectors and magnetics in general.
  12. You know, that was actually my original theory about harmonium, but I thought that the current one would make more sense from what we know about the primer cube, which is the only harmonium - powered device we know about in more detail. Also, the medallions in BoM work with Nicrosil, which allows you to store various forms of Investiture. It does not make you a Metalborn permanently.
  13. Can you spike out the Shardicness from a Shard's Vessel? If yes, I'll take that. If not, 2 spikes for A- and F-steel for Compunding and flying.
  14. Oh, didn't know that. Thanks! But I still think that Feruchemy is of Harmony... Maybe the WoB came from before era 2, so Branderson didn't want to reveal Harmony's aspects? Maybe? Whatever I'm just trying to save my theory at this point EDIT: I just noticed the "Branderson". Brain. What.
  15. Why?
  16. @Scion of the Mists Basically, as @KalaDANG put it, Feruchemy is Ruin and Preservation's powers balancing each other out, so it could be called the power of balance. And what is Ruin and Preservation cancelling each other out? I say that sticks with Harmony. Also, before he Ascended, Sazed was a Feruchemist, which I think is also a factor.
  17. Wasing the say of greeting the you. Having the idea of speaking the difficulty: having the you of speaking the same of me. Musting the all of speaking of being the Spook. Iffing the do of speaking the normal, punishing the Stick of you!
  18. If you are tapping steel so fast that you move as a blur, wouldn't your atium shadow also be a blur? Because then, the Seer wouldn't be able to even see you moving and you could take him down with a toothpick if you wanted. But doesn't Wayne put up a speed bubble at that moment? Also, Wax can move around ridiculously fast with Steelpushing so I think that he could have caught up with Bleeder if they were both moving in a straight line.
  19. I don't know... I didn't really like Dockson, but I don't know why. In HoA, he was just really cold to Elend. Kelsier is the best, though.
  20. Can forms of Investiture work on other worlds? I.e. can an Allomancer burn metals on Roshar, with minimal tweaking?
  21. So the end of Stormlight is gonna be the merge between Mistborn era 4 and Stormlight. Is there gonna be any series afterward that we know about?
  22. Is there a way to convert Investiture to other forms of Investiture? I think it would be really cool if they could get rid of the weight stored in ironminds by converting it to breath (cadmium) or heat or nutrition, which would be super useful because they then wouldn't have to pack food and take their oxygen with them, thus reducing their weight further. Something I really would like to see would be an entire FTL-travelling ship full of worldhoppers from different Shards, powered by the different types of Investiture.
  23. Cost aside, what would an Aluminum Misting having burnt enough aluminum to become a savant do? Does aluminum even stick around instead of vanishing like all the other metals if you burn it? Would you somehow become more resistant to all forms of Investiture? That would be pretty funny. Stormlight spoilers:
  24. So I'm starting this thread to collect all theories about atium alloys, since no one seems to be talking much about them recently. The only one we know about right now is malatium, which is an atium and gold alloy, which is basically gold's effect on other people. My theories are: Atium + Bronze would enable you to know if a person you are touching has ever burnt metals Atium + Chromium/Nicrosil would basically have the same effect, but in a sphere around you. Also, I think that a Misting of any Allomantic power could burn any godmetal alloys of it. What are you guys's ideas?
