Well, this was posted in a different topic, but I realised it could do with its own space because it really is funny and perfect. This was what I was reminded of when I was reading Legion.

Hm, that's interesting. I felt like skipping a lot of Elantris, but for a different reason. I felt like Raoden was an awesome character. Just a really positive guy. The whole plot was kind of slow, though. A lot of his plots feel really slow to me. Three years in the life of a slave. What should I expect? I'm always thrilled when I get to the end, though, because I've had so much time to get used to the character. I get attached.

Oh, I must have missed that part. I thought Spensa was hearing, and seeing the Krell. Edit: and I thought the sky somehow interfered with mental abilities.

Not sure if this has been done before, but if you could be a bender, which would you be?

Crazy theory idea thing: Doomslug is her father. We know that alien species, through psychic stuff, have the ability to invade minds. Whether mind swap is included, I don't know, but if it is, then her father's mind would have been imprisoned in a krell/Varvax body. If her father was imprisoned inside a krell, it wouldn't behave like an ordinary krell. If her father found Spensa, and he was trapped in the body of a slug, he would probably hang around her.

Her ancestors used the ability to bring the fleet. I assume that, like FTL communication in defending Elysium, all the faster than light communications are executed by one person, but they're not actively concentrating on each individual item. Rather, they link their mind with the machine, let the machine do the commands, and let the psionic execute or transfer that information. M-Bot tells Spensa to teleport them a kilometre south, they teleport one kilometre south. That sort of thing. Maybe the object to be teleported doesn't even have to be anywhere near the person. This way, one person could move fleets of starships at any time, anywhere in the universe by the information going through a psionic. Using a hard drive with psychic abilities, you could easily move a fleet of ships at once, with directions given by someone else. Maybe it's like plugging yourself into satellite 5 from doctor who.

In the cosmere mega series that spans 45 odd books (forget the actual number,) do you think we'll get more awesome worlds with awesome new magic systems? Mistborn and stormlight look like they'll take up half the mega series despite being only two worlds.

Mm, I think the worlds would update a bit at a time, so if you start early, your a Ska slave. Grind for a few thousand years, and before you know it, you're a Surgebinder ^^

A bit off topic, but a cosmere computer game would be awesome. When you die, you are reborn as a different person on a different world. One day you could be an Elantrian, the next life could be a trader in Roshar, your next life could be a steelpush, in Scadrial.

The movies had better be the best dam things ever. Anything less than perfection will set sanderfans into a riot.

The ending felt crazy rushed, except for the chase scene with prof. That felt unnecessarily drawn out.

I think "dour expression" is supposed to be "sour expression." Not sure, though, because it comes up twice.

I'm not a fan of Sanderson's cosmere voice. I feel he has a much more engaging writing voice whenever it's not cosmere. When I was reading mistborn, it felt like the plot of a computer game. -The enemy allomancers have an attack pattern of two at a time, and attack in waves getting progressively stronger. -Every time a quest is completed, the protagonists are given another miniquest. -Vinn is given one training session with each type of allomancer as a tutorial. -the kandra conveniently allowing themselves to become part of the plot despite thousands of years without problem.

To me, mistborn first series is the series which stands out from his other books as being strangely generic, especially the endings of the first and third books. The background is unusually detailed, (magic systems and other world building stuff,) but it still follows the ideas of "main character uses their powers to defeat bad guy, who everyone thought was invincible."

I bet on Lord Ruler, just saying. Not to mention he's got all the atium in the world, literally.
