  1. Forgot about that part to be fair it's been several years since I read it. I I suppose that then there probably are still elantrian worshippers. We never meet them But According to the text at least there are at least some.
  2. Addressing your accusations of him putting the village over his son. 1. Are you referring to the time where he stood between the townspeople and his family armed with nothing but words? Probably his most heroic moment. I don't see why you have a problem with this 2. At that time the people of the town and Roshon are only abusing him not his children. So it's his decision about whether or not you want to stay or leave. Kalidin And His brother don't factor into it because they're not at risk at that point. 3. He can't see the future, He can't change the cast system, Cant make his eyes bright, He needed or felt like he needed to steal Because it's bright Lord died, I don't see why you think this is his fault. 4. I fail to see how changing jobs would have changed anything for Kalidin. Part 2 Addressing your accusations of him putting himself over his son. 1. He wants his son to conform to his ideals, I fail to see how this is putting himself before Kalidin, weak and selfish fathers Have no expectations for their children have no standards they push them towards. That's the easy path the path of no resistance the path of Selfishness. True on selflessness is strive to teach your children the ideals you've learned from life. This is the parents job, I don't see how this reflection is selfishness, If anything it makes him one of the better fathers. Tell me do you also consider a dalinar to be selfish because he makes his sons follow the code? That's also an ideal that he has that his sons don't 2. I fail to see how giving up his principles would have changed anything. If you're referring to killing Roshon, Let me remind you that Lyrn cannot see the future. At that point the bright Lord had only persecuted Him and his wife. He had no reason to believe that Roshon was about to change things. When he does start targeting his sons it comes out of complete shock to him. It's true killing him may have saved both his sons. But Lirin did not know that. 3.There also is no such thing as being Selfless to a fault. And even if there was the very fact that you consider this to be a trate of lirin Disproves your whole point about him being selfish and putting his family Behind himself. Which one is it? Is he selfish or selfish make up your mind. Part 3. Lirin putting his family over himself 1. For starters when he refused to give up the sphears, He could have saved himself years of persecution. All he had to do was Give up the one chance his son had for a better of future.
  3. Did you not read the book? There is literally not a single worshiper left! Yes they have moved on. Where in the book does it say people are still worshiping them?
  4. Perhaps if there were still believes out there that might be the case but the people have moved on. More likely there will be imcorpriated in the new religions as non deify but still holy figures. Not gods anymore but his chosen arch angels. Whom he judged for there pride whom but know he has shown mercy on restoring them to there proper place.
  5. Mercy yes, honnor no
  6. He's blind how more helpless could he possibly get? I'm leaning towards them for me in a more theocracy/ Radiancracy Similar to what the singers have but with A council of 10 instead of 9, With the bondsmith acting as the understood leader. Whatever system they have I hope it's different from what they have in mistborn. Democracy is good and all but it would be cooler to have some variation.
  7. Not sure, I mean They were Completely brought low by the earthquake. I can't imagine any of One worshipping them again. Gods that are so easily brought low and humiliated publicly Don't usually attract followers. Besides seems like after the earthquake and the fall of a Elantris Their own people had already moved on to other religions. I can imagine them switching back again after losing faith in the Elantreans.
  8. I highly doubt Kaladin will kill a helpless blind man.
  9. I could see a theocracy/radiancracy as there future government system. One were a council of radiance govern society similar to the 9 for the fused.
  10. Even if it's just ten they'll probably still be important side characters.
  11. Are the Elantrian still considered gods?
  12. 1. An interesting thought something I didn't consider. 2. When I was thinking about it I figured Price would be yourself. As was talked about in lost metal, Avatars become The Shard, Obviously they retain some of themselfs, Yet at the same time they are no longer just themselves and definitely no longer the people they were. They both could be potentially different forms of the same bond. In fact that if you look at the cost They do look similar. As the vessel also slowly Becomes The Shard. Until eventually the person is completely transformed by the intent. Becoming in part completely different person Even if they retain much of their former self. Honestly if anyone's reading this it would be a great question to ask Brandon next live stream.
  13. I never said there would be the only main characters. I highly doubt it will take her 5 years To get pregnant. There are plenty of books with teenage main characters. I don't see how it would be a problem.
  14. Perhaps this bond is connected to Avatars
  15. No we know the POV that's not the same thing. For example Navani is not a POV but she is a main character.
  16. 1. Kaladin Dies but returns as some sort of cognitive shadow or something. 2. Dalinar Dies and becomes fused. Shallan Lives and is a mother to several main characters in back 5. Navani Lives and takes over the human coalition going forward. venli : Lives and leads her own listener of faction going forward. Adolin: Also lives doesn't become a world hopper Serves as a mentoring role for the next generation Also his kids will be main characters. Jashna : Dies but leaves behind a diary for her successor.
  17. 1.think about what your taking about large amounts of the work force having to go on leave several times a year. At least and for a extended period of time to. 2. Enough to reach replacement levels I doubt it.
  18. 1.Except then they have to quit there job for a least the next highstorm. 2.How are they forcing people to take mate form?
  19. How the hell are the singers maintaining their population ? Given that none of there soldiers, scholars, Artists, or even works can reproduce? Dose anyone have any ideas, so there a word of Brandon on this, is this a world building hole?
  20. Strongly disagree Aether constructs are highly invested.
  21. In ToES it seems like they use water up to a certain point and then stop, however LM suggests that it might be different on other planets. So I would say that it requires constant investure which means constant water.
  22. Investiture Resists investiture, Therefore it is unlikely you could fill it with storm light at least not easily. I agree it makes sense about the bendalloy. I see no reason why the gemstone would become an ordinary object. We don't see other aethers behave this way.
  23. So awakening can be used to make computers, any clue how this is done?
  24. It is voiding Brandon confirmed it.
