  1. Wita tilted her head to the side, when another man walked up to them, talked about handing money over. They were - being robbed. "You need to hide." She told the little fairy and opened her bag for the fairy to hide in. "What if he hurts you?" Anthony laughed at Marcel's words. "I know that you didn't kill him Grandpa." A cruel smile spread on his lips. "Hand your money over. It's as easy as that." Sam slowly walked towards the alley, annoyed that another spectator (=Lewis) seemed to have found the site. Another one they would need to dispatch. Maybe, they should leave the corpse where it was, flee. But no, their orders were clear. Make sure nobody finds that corpse. He's swallowed some flakes on his way here, so he would start with the new guy. "Why don't you leave?" He asked and made a commanding gesture with his head. @Hope Spren @Eluvianii @I think I am here.
  2. The carriage jerked to a halt, the horses running away. For a moment Sagitta was quiet, listened, no shouting, only the guards redying their weapons. "You don't happen to have a long sword here? Or anything else like that?" She asked Price, most her attention still outside with whatever was happening. Whoever was responsible, they didn't plan to eliminate all of them. Otherwise they would already be storming towards them, would try to get rid of the guards. That was - if tactics were the same than in Ta'e'ilo. So it was maybe better to expect anything. Slowly she unlocked the door, opened it a tiny bit and glanced outside. "There might be someone, behind the bush over there. I'm not entirely sure." Her voice was low when she reported. A lone attacker that, was unlikely. So either this was accident, or there were others hidden as well, waiting for them to step outside. If this was her trap, she'd have some guys with crossbows hidden some distance away to shoot everybody stupid enough to step outside. @I think I am here.
  3. Souls gone, they were monsters. Rob's explanation was as easy as Ben's and while it served for now, Shana knew, that they were wrong. Doc had said, that the voidbringers were like themselves, like their opposite. And that meant that they had souls. They were like evil magicians, but they still were magicians. The bus stopped and she pulled herself up, used the seats and the handholds to stumble outside, needed to breath fresh air. Her hands clung to the door to keep herself upright, when she inhaled, hoped that the cool air would clear her head. It didn't. It was nothing but cool air after all. Her back blazed in pain, but it was nothing compared to the feeling of blood on her hands. The noise when she had pushed the knife into the throat of the man. It was one thing, to kill them with her staff. Something else entirely to use a knife. To hear that last breath, to smell the blood. Monster. They were monsters. A lie, but a good one, a safe one. At least she'd been to one to kill. At least this blood wasn't on Rob's hands, or James, or Ben's. It was her place, to fight to kill. To take this over. She had to. If she could remove that weight from their shoulders, then she had to. @Lunamor @Wyndlerunner @I think I am here.
  4. I like the idea of several smaller plots as well. We've got enough ideas as it is.
  5. They used to be. "I...", her voice lowered, "killed them." Troubled she glanced at her hands. That crystal what if the crystal was the source? Humans. Killing a bad human still made her a murderer. No. Used to be. Ben was right. They were abominations, they were wrong. But there was this nagging voice in her head, whispering about how easy they had died. Just like humans.
  6. Me, @I think I am here., @Sherlock Holmes, @Lord Furret are the core team around the GB plot at the moment. I mean we could set that one as main plot, but it was more thought of as a side plot. But it's more or less ready, with a vague outline where it can go, depending on the characters and their decisions. Basically it's some kind of detective/ spy/ assassin setting, that can be solved by fighting or by outsmarting the other party. the large arc is, that another guild wants to take the place of the GBs and tries to destabilize the guild by killing members. They have to be stopped. Everybody who wants to be part of the planning is welcome to do so. Who doesn't want to, but still wants to participate is welcome as well.
  7. "We can always try and contact them, when we are home." Shana continued to sit straight, moved around until she found a position that was more or less comfortable. Or rather, that wasn't hurting that much. The bus was nearing the stop where they had to get out. They would be home soon. "I lost my mobile, when I lost my bag." She sighed. Maybe the police had found them - but then they were gone. A murderer. In the face of law she was a murderer. She'd killed them. She'd done it before, when the first crystal appeared, when they all rushed to the park. They hadn't seemed like people then, had looked like monsters. But those that had captured her, they had seemed humand. A disguise? Maybe. "What are they? The Voidbringers? What are they?" Her voice was low, intense, only for her three friends. "Are they like us? Human?" @Wyndlerunner @I think I am here. @Lunamor ===================
  8. "She's injured." Mike pointed at the vague direction where Bella lay, careful to point and not to look as well. There was no way he would stare at her, when she was in a state like this. She'd just saved his life. Again. After she'd almost killed him earlier. After she'd betrayed him. Unwillingly he pushed it all aside. He needed to make sure that Wes and Seom would survive. Everything else would have to wait. "And she... needs cloths. Can you take a look at her?"
  9. =============== Althea pulled up a map and marked the location of the factory. It was a bit outside the city, but close. A good place. Nobody had cared for these leftover of the Seven-Day-War. Like many ruins they existed, homeless and poor using them for shelter. Another thing she would have to check after the war. Make sure there weren' any other places like this one. Secret armies hidden, only to be unleashed on the city. Pride. The DA, TUBA, and her own organisation as well. They had been so sure, that nobody would challenge them, that they hadn't cared. That they hadn't stopped Plasma Core before it became that problem. "We could start looking for him there. See if he has left or not. If he's still there we can face him, if not, maybe we can find someone who knows where he went." Or they would find a clue, or nothing at all. Still it was probably worth a try. Better than standing here and doing nothing at least. Mentally she made a list of things they had to be aware of, then added equipment she would prefer to have. More stormlight sitting on the top of her list. "If we don't find anything there, we can try to get into their communication, like you suggested Max." @I think I am here. @kenod ==================== Zokora observed the man, Tim, continue to examine Deteca's side. "This is grave. With your permission?" His hands touched a little bag at his side and Zokora inclined her head in agreement. Nodding he pulled out a stamp and set to carving, his movements quick, but careful. She left him to his work, sat down on the floor next to Deteca instead. Her eyes stayed with Neil for a moment, but as he didn't say something, she didn't adress him for now. Probably one of Deteca's. "The tunnels are still safe. I am sending my soldiers to the breaches, to stop the monster from harming the refuges." She told her, without looking up from her device. Pausing for a moment she send out a few new orders, then sighed. "I contacted Oasis. We can send refuges there, but of course it's a bit away. Most of our troops are fighting, so we'll probably have to move them without a larger support of those able to use Investiture. It will be dangerous, but I figure, that as soon as we are away fro mthe city itself, we can speed things up, as at the moment the attacks are concentrated on the city and not on the area around." Her hand brushed over Deteca's shoulder, a quick gesture of comfort, before her eyes returned to her numbers. "You will be fine. He is good." Next to her tim had finished carving and gently pressed the stamp against Deteca's side. @AonEne @xinoehp512 ====================== Mike screamed when is knife scraped over the plates protecting the things body, leaving nothing behind, but a deep scratch. The tail moved, fast, so fast, that he barely saw it, and then it was gone. The air stank after burning flesh and he watched in fear how a phoenix, another freaking phoenix burnt that thing to ashes, reduced it to a pile of chacoral. And then even the phoenix was gone, and instead Bella was there, kneeling in front of him on the ground, whispering something he couldn't understand. She looked awful, injured, and she was .... naked. Mike blushed deeply and turned away. "Seom." He called out, looked for her on the rooftop. "It's Bella." Seom knew Bella as well, had been part of the same gang. He'd met both of them there, in the old warehouse. Careful to look everywhere but to Bella, beautiful and strong Bella. Bella who had betrayed him. Bella who was part of those invading the city, part of those killing so many. Bella who had saved him. Bella. the one person he had admired, he had wished to be like her, to be strong and undefeatable like her. His eyes fell on Wes and on Tels, both who had fought for his life, Tels who had saved him as well, without even knowing more than his name. Wes with the scars on his back, who had been so afraid of Mr. Itiah, but who was so clever, so inventive when it was important. Without these two that monster would still be here, they had weakened it, had fought it. Strength. Mike sobbed when he looked at the spot on his arm where the tattoo had been, when he realized that he looked for something so far away, when it was right beneath his nose all the time. Strength was more than leading a gang, than burning people to ashes. It was more than getting what you wanted. It was facing your fears, it was staying clam in the face of danger. Seom, who had asked him out. Who had simply asked him out, who was risking her life to safe the injured ones on the roof. Mike took a step away from Bella, over to Wes, to Tels. He needed to talk to Bella, but later, when all of this was over. When the city was safe again. "Are you alright?" He asked Wes, grabbed his shoulder for a moment, before he turned to Tels. "Thank you, you saved my life." @Sherlock Holmes @Truthless of Shinovar @I think I am here.
  10. Alright. So I'll go with that one.
  11. You can certainly keep them! Most of mine are from Era 2 and I don't plan to put them aside. I'm not even half done with their development. A lot of characters died at the end of Era 1, but that changed a bit, as the rp evolved.
  12. I, personally, am totally fine with the DA as it is. Yes they are strong, but most settings have some stronger entities, and those that rp the few stronger characters do that in a way, it doesn't impede on anybody else. I like that there is a force able to defeat all others, that there is a subtle threat. It adds a lot to the setting, and makes it way more interesting. DA aside, with Fatebreakers planed plot, we can always discuss this at another time. Are there any other ideas regarding the next main plot?
  13. I agree with Zinc. Established characters should remain, but for now, no new characters should be created. Maybe those with an 40k character, can offer an explanation of the technology they are using. Like Grey once told me ,that their place basically works like Shardplate here. If we create these equivalents, then even those without knowledge about the 40k lore could easily grasp their abilities. As we're also voting about the strength of characters: is there some kind of progress regarding the "character advancement" question in general?
  14. Wita nodded eagerly. "Marcel too. He can jive." She told Lyssa brightly. "And he's a great dancer. There are so few that can do a jive well. And you are so beautiful. You and Kira dancing together, it must be a sight." ======== "How are they?" Anthony asked quietly and Sam shook his head. "I don't know. Never saw them before." Anthony spit to the ground. "At least on is a Radiant. Probably the old one. The other two, his children? Or his escorts, maybe." Sam grunted in what could have been acceptance or not. "I don't care. As long as they are there, we can't get rid of the body. Let's rob them. Then we have some money, and maybe some entertainment is in it as well." Anthony stuffed some more tobacco into his mouth and started to chew on it. Sam vanished, circled around to block of the other end of the alley. Then after a while he got up, started to walk down the streets towards the strangers. "He Grandpa. Give us your money. And the girls as well." @I think I am here. @Dr. Dapper @Hope Spren He shouted
  15. Strange. She'd expected him to be an expert when it came to his own instinct. How did he expect to learn about others, when he didn't understand his own? But maybe it wasn't about understanding how to use it, but more about the limits, about the possibilities. "Honestly, I thought Entropy would be useful to anybody. Especially to someone with your profession." She told him earnestly. There were so many options, possibilities he had with Entropy, that he rarely used it was almost sad. Especially someone who studied instincts, should be comfortable with his own. At least that was the way with a weapon. When you studied a weapon, you had to wield it, you had to know everything about it, and only then you could truely know its nature.
  16. "Probably." With his help they were faster, finally opened the door completely. "I never travelled for the sake of explanation." She stepped outside, looked around. "We should leave as fast as we could. If anything or anyone lives here, they will come and see what happened." Her fingers pointed at the destroyed trees around them. "This was anything but silent. Let's see if we can find some food, maybe some device to analyze the air and the ground. Check for poisons. We need to get out of the suits soon, or we'll suffocate."
  17. It told more than words ever could, that Mart nodded. Lena stood up and picked him up, stood him on his feet for a moment. "Thank you." She told Alask and then looked at her child. "Let's get rid of those cloths." She told him quietly, as his pants and shirt were starring from mud and dried blood. Cloths. She would have to fetch him a new set of cloths as well. Thankfully at least his underware could be counted as more or less clean given the circumstances. Gently she wrapped him in the blanket from the mattress Eve had used earlier and then sat down again, held him close. He snuggled against her, his hands still holding the bear. "Sing me a song?" He asked and Lena tightened her grip around him, burried her face in his hair for a moment. She hadn't seen him for so long, this was the first night in years he would spend at her place. Of course she would sing him a song. "I don't know where i belong, I got no place to call my home, All the people all around me, Just can't see the things that i can see..." She started one the few songs she figured more or less suitable for the situation. At least it was slow, and without the music, she could maybe add a calm touch to the lines.
  18. Sagitta eyed the water, but didn't ask if she could have some as well. It felt too much like begging, but still she was hungry. Maybe drinking some water would help. Two years, that was a short time, but then she knew how a short time could stretch into eternity easily. When the days blurred, when the work became more important. When you poured everything you had into that one thing. "But did you train your instinct? That you can control it?" She asked curiously. She never had, but he knew that already. What she could do, was what she'd learned the hard way - use your instinct or die. And so she figured she was good at it, in certain situations. Definitely not when it came to jumping down ladders.
  19. Althea took the canteen back and handed it to Max. He looked better, amazed, but better. And he could walk again. He wouldn't die. Just like he promised. "Thank you." She told Aylita, hiding the relief in her voice, but made sure to appear honest. "I really appreciate your help." Max was fine. A knot of tension in her shoulders loosened, when she stopped to worry about him. At least for the moment. Her eyes swept over the buildings, the destruction and she swallowed. This had been going on for too long. They needed to stop this and they needed to do it soon. "I think we should try and search for Lord Ajax himself. I doubt we can stop this, without killing him and I see no reason to put it off for longer than neccessary. This is our city, not his. And it's time that little cremling is wiped out of existence." @kenod ==================== Zokora watched Walker go, then she contacted one of her men, and pulled his location up on her device. Then shegently picked up Deteca. The woman looked bad, was mumbling, but obviously barely grasping what was going on anymore. "I've got healer amongst my men." She told her and started to carry her through the tunnels, followed the little signal she was getting. Together with the maps Deteca had allowed her to access she was able to find him in this maze, although she doubted she would ever find her way back to breach on her own. Not that it mattered. That problem was solved. Unsolved were the other three red dots, indicating a breach as well. Or the mass of yellow ones indicating a cirtical situation. They needed to continue the evacuation - get all these people out of the city. Setting Deteca down next to the man she looked into his eyes. "Do you best. She has to survive, no matter the cost. And don't harm her in any way." Confused he nodded, then knelt down and started to examine the wound. Zokora observed his movements, then she contacted Oasis. @AonEne ==================== @Truthless of Shinovar
  20. Jessy laughed. "Out of curiosity. Because earth was too small." She finally found the gun and grabbed it, then she walked over to the door of the escape pod. Nothing happened when she pressed the button, but there was handwheel. Slowly she started to turn it. "Out of greed. Some because they can. Others because they want to learn and study." Slowly the door started to open and she paused, checked the little display on the arm of her suit for any notifications. Nothing. That was probably a good sign. She couldn't be completely sure. Resuming to turn the wheel she continued to open the door. "Some never leave at all. Some to fight against those that want to live on our planet. I guess it's the same reasons for other journeys."
  21. Back in the carriage Sagitta resumed her position next to the door, rested her head against the door once more. She could leave when she wanted to. And while a part of her suspected that their bargain was a lot more important to her than it was to Price, it was what she would get right now. So she would work with it. "How long are you doing this?" She asked him with a gesture indicating herself and the other subjects. The Cahayan was bound, probably unable to understand them at all. She was careful to avoid his glance, felt almost guilty for a decision that wasn't her own. This was war. And people died in war. Conscripted or not. The world wouldn't suddenly change only because she wanted it to change. It would always stay the same. As long as the gods ruled, as long as the countries existed, the world would stay the same.
  22. Mart nodded, wiped away his tears. "I like happy endings." He said and fell silent, rested his head against Alask's chest. Gratefully Lena smiled at Alask and finished her apple. She had no real idea what to do with Mart, how to help him. Probably it would be best if she looked for a professional to step in and talk to him of whatever they did. Pondering where she could go, she threw the remains of the apple away and looked over at Alask. Mart yawned and she smiled when she saw him like this, gald that at least for now he had a place to stay.
  23. Shana smiled at him, glad that he was talking, that he was here. "Don't worry. Nothing some light can't solve." She took his hand. "I'll be fine. We'll be fine. And they bought our story, well Rob's story. So that's good as well."
  24. Shana smiled tiredly at Ben then followed Rob into the bus. She was glad that the man simply believed Rob that they were all students, she really needed to get her purse back. Sitting down lean was glad for a chance to lean against a seat and - Quickly she sat upright again when her back reminded her of the wound spread across it. Bolt. Never let yourself get hit by a magical bolt. @Lunamor @Wyndlerunner
