  1. Lena took the blueprints, and looked at them. Nothing that sounded like "room where we keep our fabrials" was written on there, but if everybody was as nice as the man said - they could simply ask to see a fabrial, claim that they already owned it and then tada, there they were. She looked at Alask and lifted her shoulders a little as if to ask him what to do with these strange people. Help everybody, a free meal? There was so much kindness here, she felt like vomitting. It seemed superficial, as if it was a nice facade, to cover the dark parts of the guild. And most likely it was. And even if it wasn't, she was nobody to turn down a free meal. "Thank you." She smiled at him. "We will ask if we can't find our way. Could you please show me, where the science teachers are?"
  2. Sagitta felt cold when she saw the content of the sack. Ressurect the corpse? That was impossible and Price had to know it. So the question was, what was he trying to achieve here? Demonstrate his strength and power? Show them, that he held them tightly in his hand? Sagitta stared at him in disbelieve, wished she could understand. She had thought that they were, friends, or at least something like that. Comrads maybe. They had talked about such intimate things, they had talked about faith, and when she had taken his hand, he hadn't pulled away. Just like a friend would have done. Her brow creased when she wondered why she had taken his hand in the first place, something was off, felt off, but she couldn't quite understand. "I'd prefer not to." Gati's words made her look over to him and his eyes were gleaming yellow. Prefer not to. That meant he could. That meant Price knew something she didn't. And it meant, that maybe, maybe - Sagitta's face darkened and stepped in front of Price. There was only one logical explanation, to Zura's behaviour, to her own forgetting the names of the travellers and having to ask again. "Who are you?" She asked quietly, too quiet. Her body was tense, spoke on incoming violence. "What did you do to my head?" @AonEne
  3. I stay close to kenod and continue in a random direction.
  4. "I like grass." Wita smiled. "It's soft and green. I like to lie down and do nothing but look at the sky." It also involved less thinking. She took a deep breath and gently lessed her storing again. Just a little, only enough to see if she could, how it felt. If she wanted to learn, she needed her thoughts in one place, and she needed them to be quick and clear. "Do you think, I should have asked my custodian?" She asked him remembering the world apart from their quest when he mentioned tomorrow. "Because of the apprenticeship. I doubt that he minds, but I don't know if he can forbid it?" ========== @Hope Spren
  5. "It is a good thing. And you don't miss out on something, if you never do." She nodded in agreement, looked around at the tunnel. Like veins. Adrens words had some merrit, the stone looked as if it belondged to a larger body. The thought fascinated her and she touched the cool wall, felt the moisture beneath her fingers. Gently she reached out for the spren and was nearly disappointed when she found it to be a normal spren. Nothing like the wall painting she had seen yesterday. "I try not to use them." She added remembering his other questions. "I believe that there are solutions to conflict but brute forces and creatures that have a tendcy to do as they please." But in the end, if it came down to it, she would use what she had. And she still had whole departments trying to figure out more, without being sure how much good they might do. There was always something stronger, somebody who knew more. But if you stopped. Nothing was worse than stopping. The more they knew, the better they could use their knowledge to protect what was theirs. Sometimes she pictured to destroy them all, but then they were utterly defenseless. The last few times, threats had come from the outside, not the inside, but in the end, you never knew. Alleycity had been peaceful the last months, but she could remember times when you had to weary of those belonging to another guild. She looked at the boy tried to think of something to keep the conversation alive. Falling silent would easily be awkward, and given his behaviour so far she doubted that she could ask the real interesting questions. "Would you like to know more about Investiture?" She finally asked. "You know your way around technical devices, maybe you could find a way to combine both."
  6. Wita took a moment to understand why he was blocking the seal with his body, and slowly shook her head. "It doesn't flicker." She said slowly. "I am fine when it doesn't flicker." As long as she didn't think talking would help at least. With a sigh she buried her head in her hands. How was she supposed to ever make it, if she couldn't even lead a normal conversation. Frustrated she groaned, wished that she was a normal person, with a normal mind. Work through. When she understood his words she looked up, hope brimming in her eyes. "I can work through that? It can stop?" She asked astonished and looked at him wide-eyed.
  7. Temeria took a sip of her drink and ran her finger along the glass for a while. "Well, at first everybody noticed that I was a foreigner, but the traders that accidently carried me over, they proved to be nice. Taught me enough of the language during the days they stayed on Nalthis so that I could survive there." She made a gesture to indicate some time passing. "I basically knew nothing of the world, of the people, but I told everybody, I'd come from a country far away, so they weren't surprised by my missing knowledge. The waiter placed their food in front of them and she thanked him, took a first bite. It tasted bland, but at the same time good. The vegetables tasted like vegetables without any spices obscuring their taste. Smiling Temeria nodded to herself. "You can imagine, that it was difficult for a young woman to earn money, so I disguised myself as a boy and entered the army. I had a bed there, some food and again, I was lucky. Most of the other soldiers learned rather soon, but they covered me, protected me. No easy time, but I managed to survive and even got out of it without being crippled." She took another bite, smiled in delight at the food. "I need to remember this place. The food is good."
  8. "No." Lena shrugged. "If she digs her own grave, she digs her own grave. And from what I've seen of her so far, she works better on her own anyway." She followed Alask over to the front reception and added quietly. "I can answer some easy medical questions, so if they try to test us, just let me speak. Straightening she smiled at the person there. "Hello." She greeted them and made sure her smile was cute and harmless. "We are from a voluntary group focused on medical aid and wanted to ask if you have some classes available, where we could improve our knowledge." @ShadowLord_Lith
  9. Ophelia nodded. "Sure, we can meet after you're done working." She hesitated. "I could you help you with that as well?" It was nothing she knew a lot about, but she trusted herself to be kind and smiling. And she could adress people properly as well. Maybe that would help. Nervously she brushed her hair out of her face and wondered if you even offered to work somewhere else. How did it go? She had suspected, that you simply asked, but there seemed to be more to it, and maybe, maybe there was. Should she present herself properly, list her skills? But she had no skills apart from hairdressing, and while she also did a splendid make up, she was sure that wasn't what was needed here.
  10. If I remember correctly the reticence was mostly there, because the disorder felt forced and added to the character sheet, not because of the disorder itself. Regarding the drugs: I agree with Voidus, as long as it's about the human part of the addiction, and the consequences it has on them, you don't glorify the topic and keep the descriptions of them taking the drugs a little vague it should be fine. It is a serious topic, but killing is also a serious topic and it's nothing rare in this rp. I wouldn't be opposed to a drug addiction if it set within these borders.
  11. I panic, when I realize that we are getting no where. The things, what ever it is they are, are everywhere, and I lost complete track of where I am. I suspect, that we are supposed to go somewhere, to meet up with the others, but I don't know where to go. Panicking, I change direction again and again, hope that at one point I will find a path. @Invocation
  12. @ZincAboutIt Here's your changed rating based on the new character sheet. As your characters will work as a team, I calculated them both as one character. As their power set is identical and they can benefit from each other only partially, I decided to add one character fully, and the other one only half, since with hyper-intelligence they will both arrive at the same conclusion at one point or the other, but they can add their powers together when it comes e.g. to rioting. ============ @Voidus Sorry, to hand off another pair of characters, but even though they are no epics, I think rating their powers is easier with your system, as I would have to make up something completely new. To answer your question kenod: As usual you can use multiple characters, as long as they don't team up. If they team up, we will have to rate them together, usually both of their points will count fully together. ===================== And here's my own character.
  13. "Investiture" Althea followed him towards the tunnels. "I spend years upon years studying Investiture, the different kinds, how to use it, how to conter it." She hesitated at his next question. Abominations. There were many answers to that questions and few of them were short and easy. For a while she continued to walk, considered her next words carefully. "I would say, yes." She finally started. "They are as scary as they sound and they are even more dangerous." That was a bit vague so she went on, tried to cover the whole complex topic within a few sentences that made sense in the end and were useful to someone with his base of knowledge. "There are so many types of different ones, and I am sure, that I could name or describe only a very, very small percentage of them, that it hard to talk about them in general. In the end the safest way is to assume that one is about to kill you, that it has the means to do so and that you should get rid of it, or flee as soon as possible." They were also fascinating, the way how they worked, that they worked at all usually the result of a brilliant mind.
  14. ====================================== Shana smiled at him, wrapped her arms around him and leaned her head against his shoulder. "The new girl, Nym. She's a good fighter." She told him and then sighed. "I killed again." She said quietly as if that would explain the rest, and maybe it did. "We've got so many new ones who joined us today and I don't know what to do with them. I mean they could be spies, or maybe they aren't. Still, we can't just allow everybody in here and do nothing. We can't just smile and open our door and say, hey here's a room, feel free to sleep there and here's the key." She took a deep breath. "I don't want to finger-point, but we can't just invite strangers, I don't even know how many arrived today. We should at least walk them around, have them meet everybody, so that we know who is here. I mean, if there's an emergency I wouldn't even know who to check for afterwards, because there might be someone here I never met, because someone just invited them in." Falling silent she shook her head. "I feel awful." She whispered. "The rest is just smaller things."
  15. "I can go and check for George. Do you want me to bring him to your room?" Shana stood up, hoped that no spren decided to search for bird's egg at night and walked inside. Their living room was empty, and it felt even larger than usual. So many lived here that the room rarely was empty, most of the time someone would be here. She started to bend down looked for George and finally found the coin on the ground and picked it up, waited for Cup to tell her, where to take it. Mahad had followed her eagerly, sat down on her hand and was talking quickly. "She's my friend. Cup is my friend." He told her happily not caring if Cup heard him or not.
  16. Wita gently touched the bloodseal, surprised by how solid and hard it felt under her fingertips. "Is it like a language? The different symbols? Can I use one symbols in different locations on the rings, or do I have to learn different symbols for different rings?" She asked another question, his smile a nice sign that she was doing something right here. Swallowing she shook her head and returned to his stool. Tell him. If he knew, then it would be easier for both of them. "I, I don't have parents anymore." She started, closed her eyes when she heard a scream and shook her head. "I can't deal with fire. Or anything that reminds me of it." She added quickly, her voice tumbling on each other, when she tried to add something, but instead she only pressed a hand against her eyes. "I , I can't." She sagged down, started to store again, to stop the memories to slow them down until she could avoid them. "I'm sorry."
  17. "We ask Shana." He told her proudly and rushed off. Shana was calling for Ben, when he found her in the hallway and he flew around her head, then back towards the exit. She turned her head and sighed. "Did you find another coin." Mahad laughed and settled on her shoulder. "Me and Cup made a painting. Can you take a picture and send it to Rob so that he can hang it on his wall for Cup to see?" He asked and his Radiant laughed, then stepped outside. Shana knelt down next to the painting and smiled at Cup. "Hello Cup." She greeted his friend and took out her phone, took a quick picture, and then another one when he looked at her in a cute way. And then a third when he spread his wings. Satisfied that one good picture of their drawing had to be there Mahad touched his nose to her cheek. "Now send it to Rob." he insisted and she laughed again, knelt down and held her phone in a way both he and Cup could see it. She selected Rob and then send him the picture. "Happy the two of you? Do you need anything else?"
  18. "I can help as well." Ophelia offered quickly, mostly to be able to follow Ana and the sailor around. On her own, she had messed things up already, but if she stayed with Ana, maybe she could learn a trick or to. How to get food. Or maybe how to behave. "I will try my best, and I promise I won't be a burden if I can avoid it." Which was unlikely, but it sounded better. She grimaced a little when she realized how desperate her words sounded, how lonely she had to seem, and she lowered her head. "I can understand, if you want to go alone though. I'm no strong fighter." She added quickly to offer Ana an easy wait out.
  19. Impressed Wita looked at the mark in the wall, at it's dim red light. She shivvered at the light, but it was dim and red, and more importantly steady. She could deal with steady light. Exhaling she slowly took a closer look, impressed by how the mark seemed to be above the wood. As if it had been added, not pressed into it. Like a think glowing paint. Her fingers reach out for it, when she wanted to see if it felt like paint, or blood, as well. Then she stopped looked at him. "Can I touch it?" She asked and removed her hand, lest she accidently did something wrong. "And does every mark need to have a condition, or could I create something entirely else?"
  20. No, it works like that. I am only thinking a little about the whole "teaming up" point. If I understood your concept together, they will stay close to each and team up against others, did I get that part right?
  21. Sagitta followed Price through the compound, tried to remember as much as possible. You never knew when it came in handy to know some hallways, or a possible way to escape. She trusted Price, but only him. He had guards with him, and while she could understand the sentiment, she also disliked the air it provided. It gave the impression that he was afraid, and maybe he had reason to be. She moved over to him, smiled at him. "Good morning." She repeated his greeting and stepped into the testing area. There was nobody here to observe and shifted her weight to her uninjured leg, leaned on the crutch, while she surveid the room. There was nobody here to observe and suddenly she wished that she and Price had had a moment to talk. Something was off with the travelers and she would like to know if he'd noticed as well. He was still acting the same, so most likely only Zura had been affected by whatever it was they had done. She stayed by his side, wondered what might happened nex.t She would prefer if she coudl stay away from a ladder, but all her skills evolved around moving at one point or the other, so she wasn't really sure what do. Instead she looked around for a stool and wondered if it would be too impolite if she sat down.
