Sagitta frowned at his words, stayed quiet while she considered them. A contradiction. Was it a contradiction that she'd killed to protect? She hadn't thought about it before, had never questioned her orders, or the righteousness of her actions. "I don't think so." She replied slowly after a while, still trying to sort her thoughts. "I don't start a war for the sake of fighting and I don't fight for the sake of killing." She brushed a loose strand back behind her ear. "But if I step in, when someone else tries to hurt a helpless person, someone who can't defend themselves, then it might result in the same, but the reason is different." The strand fell back into her face and she sighed, lifted her hands and quickly unbraided her hair. Better to have it all open, than that one loose strand annoying her endlessly. "And I don't think that violence is the root of all hardship. Of a lot of hardship - yes, but of all?" she shook her head and leaned against a tree, observed him looking for something. More mushrooms, or maybe the plants he'd spoken about. "A lot of hardship is caused by hunger, by a storm ruining this years harvest, or by a flood carrying whole settlements away. Or by an earthquake, like the one that destroyed all the homes we visited days, weeks, ago." It still felt weird to speak about weeks. Weeks she had lost so easily, without even noticing. "Sicknesses both of the brain and the body -" she stopped listing things, her eyes turned upward towards the leaves as if she could find the point of her words written there. "I think that a lot of violence is a result of hardship, and therefore causing further hardship. It's a circle, but to blame everything that goes wrong on violence, I just don't see that." Falling silent again she finally gave up when she realized that had agreed to his words in a way. "The world is too complicated to blame it all on one reason." she ended, although it sounded a bit lame to her own ears. Here she was, lecturing a god about the world he had helped to create. Somehow that was incredibly wrong. Hoping to cover up on the fact that she hadn't really thought about the whole matter, she added a last question. "What is the bigger picture?" she asked him, without leaving her tree. She would have helped with collecting what he needed, but if he didn't tell her what it was - there were so many plants around that she had no idea which of them he might have some use for.

Approved! I'm looking forward to see more of Lance! ============= Thank you! I'll add her to the character list. =================== Hello and welcome to the Alleyverse! I added my rating of your character in green (see spoiler tag below). At first, thumbs up for the sheet! For a new character, you gave it a lot of thought, added some weaknesses and all that! All in all they end up a little too strong, with the Returned, the Twinborn and the Aviar. I would advise you to add another weakness and to maybe leave the Aviar away. The streamer doesn't add that much, when you are already able to use copper, and that (depending on the wekaness) could get him within limits. If you have any questions, or need more detailed advice just tell me, I'm always happy to help! At the moment we have four guilds that are the most active. The DA (Dark Alley // experiments with hemalurgy (and more)), TUBA (basically the DA's rivals), the Ghostbloods (nothing to explain here), and The Scholar's Guild (name explains it). As Invo wrote above, the guilds will change their purpose a little next era, so I agree, that maybe waiting with joining a guild and simply seeing which possibilities there are in RP might be best. Otherwise, if you have a tendency you would like to go, you can always contact those in the guild upfront. They can also explain the changes in details, and give more information about the guild in general.

So far, when this thread came up, I wrote a few words along the lines, that I have issues, the got better and that I'm not comfortable to talk about details. Because I trust many here, but then it's still a public place. To be honest, the last few months have been hard and contrasting the other years, I can't state anymore that I'm more or less stable, that I found a way to live with everything. I haven't been feeling good for months, but about the time Corona started to really impact my life, was the time when my doctor handed me a sheet with some diagnosis written on it and strongly advised me to go to therapy. Again I'll keep it vague, sorry not-sorry for that. Fact is, that we've got some kind of hotline, where they can help you find a free spot, especially one where insurance will pay for the treatment. But at the moment, that one isn't even able to deal with all the "I might have Corona" calls, lest alone everything else. So in the end, it's been nearly two months now, but I'm not even a step closer to find a therapist that would take me. Those that say, that they admit new patients are full, because Corona, and as usual nearly everybody else has a waiting list for months and they even closed their waiting list. I theoretically could chose one my insurance won't pay for, but I simply can't afford it. The positive part of the whole situation - slowing my life down and spending more time at home really helped me a lot. Despite my financial worries due to reduced work hours, having more time to myself I can spend in the sun, reading more than I usually would be able to - all of it helped me a great deal. I have no idea how I'll go on, but while I'm definitely worse, I'm also definitely getting better. Stay safe everybody and despite my words, things will get better! They always do!

Sagitta looked at the mushrooms, and then with a quick motion shook her head. "No, thank you." she declined, readied herself for his ire. He hadn't really liked it the last time she had spoken, she had disagreed and she suspected that declining something would be far worse. "I need to keep my wits around." she explained and took a step back, unconciously shifted her weight a little to make sure her footing was good and strong. "But to follow your advice." she continued, hoped that she might placate him. "I am training, try to get back in shape. I hope we'll be here long enough that Intensity can show me a few things about my instinct." Intensity. When had she started to accept the fact that she was around gods so easily. "But I can't forget. If I forget, then I do them wrong. It's the only thing I can do for them. As long as I remember, they won't be forgotten." Drawing herself up she looked into his eyes. "I trust you, when you say that I will return home eventually, but in the end - this is more important. I could have left, have fulfilled my bargain with Price and returned home, but I am here. Because I think, that something needs to be done. Something needs to be checked out or prevented. I have no idea what is going on, but that's fine as well. I am a sword, a weapon. I don't need to know details. As long as I know what I'm fighting for, for whom I'm fighting -" She looked away from him, holding the mushrooms. "It's who I am." she added more quietly. "I can fight for Ta'e'ilo accompaning you, helping you on your journey. Because I think that in the end, you don't work towards the destruction of this world either."

You turn around at his words, for once have no idea how to reply to that, while your mind rushes through the different possibilities. A bullet to the head was one of the easier ways to kill someone. Every injury could be healed but a severe injury of the brain had a tendency to leave traces. But there weren't any. His speech was clear, his thoughts sharp as knives. And the body, the clue was the body. He wasn't born with this body, instead it was a replacement. Someone had transfered his mind to another body. You can't help yourself, and have to admire the art, the grandeur behind this. If you knew how to do that, you could create the perfect body and afterwards inhabit it, with the perfect mind. The ideal creature, not merely the result of your surgical skills, but of something else as well. Trying to come up with a good reply, you look him over again, how he tilts back his head, how he's drawing on the cigarette. The way his fingers twitched right before he lit the next one. "A body is like a piece of clothing." you finally say, walk a little closer to him, look him over again. This time you take your time, judge his bones, the skin, the way he stands. You take in the look of his fingernails, the way his fingers hold the cigarette. "And it's a good one you ended up with. Healthy, strong." Your thoughts return to him, the one wearing it and you find yourself looking into his eyes. "It is nothing but meat and bone, but sinew and blood without the mind inhabiting it." He had kept this information behind a veil until know, had hinted at his body first, and that he was shot came second. You try to piece the little parts together to see the whole picture, to look beyond what he is offering. Is he satisfied with it? Does he feel lost, nearly threatened, as if he was robbed of everything he is? For a moment you want to speak about yourself, tell him that you can understand, that for your years you wished for nothing but to have your old body back, to be yourself again - but you keep the words in your mind, restrain yourself from uttering them loudly. This is about him, not about you. "If someone else used this body, they would behave differently. Their gestures would be different, their posture." You say instead. "I could alter it, if you want to. Make you taller or shorter, your shoulders broader and your hips slim. Change the colour or your eyes and hairs, make you look any way you want to - but I could never change the spark in your eyes or the way you look at me right now." A slight smile touches your lips. "Although I do hope you used your chance and shot that bastard right back."

Shana suppressed the urge to roll her eyes, anger surging up through her veins again. She grit her teeth against the feeling, Rob's words echoing through her again. Kill them before they harm even more. She kept quiet, made sure she gave Everest some space. She didn't want to feel him boxed in, controlled, and she was only here for security anyways. And yet she felt herself inhaling a little more stormlight, eyeing the different ropes that hold him down. She could rip them apart, give him a chance to move and then she could be like the wind, pushing fire over a plain. She could be fast and deadly and simply solve the situation as it should have been solved yesterday.

I have to admit I prefered the idea, that the foundation of Alleycity is celebrated, or maybe really the Solstice/ the beginning of a new year.
-
That offers a lot of potential we can toy with, use as starting points for different kinds of rp. The masks, the freedom - perfect.

Sagitta watched him, talk to the sandcastle, wondered how a sandcastle was supposed to move one way or the other. She remained where she was, only realizing when he got up and pointed at the forest, that he had been talking to her all the time. Confused by his words she followed him without really understanding why, or what he was referring to. Something about her energy and that she disturbed him? It wasn't as if she was doing anything at all. Still she followed him towards the wood, discarded his words as confusing and decided to ignore them for now. He could explain if he wanted to and if not, then it hadn't been important. The way he adressed her again, this time by her name made her reconsider. So he had been talking to the sandcastle. Probably there was something magical about them, some hidden function that would allow him to use one as a cart. "My full name is Sagitta T'Sora." She replied. "I don't have kids, and I doubt I will have any." Most likely she would be burried somewhere before it ever came to that. "I've got two brothers and a sister, as well as my parents. Several uncles and aunts, cousins -" She gave a sligh shurg. "My mother and sister are at home, looking after the family business and my father's holdings. It's not much, but we can live of it easily. My father and brothers are in the army as well. I -" don't know if they are still alive. Swallowing she looked down to the ground. "They probably burried something of me weeks ago and spoke my name." Falling silent she grit her teeth against the knot in her throat. She should have contacted her, somehow, should have remembered. She had been so focused at getting some water, some food, she had forgotten to ask Price about a way to let them know she was alive. "Maybe I don't carry that name anymore." She said quietly, pictured the new inscription in the family crypt. "I am nothing but a ghost, forgotten by most, remembered only by a few flowers until they as well are lost to oblivion. They have filled my spot, gave my tent away. It's been so long, I have been crossed out weeks ago." Nothing but a shadow, lost in the night. Dread filled her chest when she suddenly could see it all, her comrades her friends, leaving a flower behind and then moving on. That was what you did, when you grieved. Sooner or later, you moved on. The only humans that knew that she existed, she hadn't seen both Price and Zura in a long time. A ghost. Lost in her thoughts she wrapped her arms around herself and quietly followed him, unable to delete the picture of her grave from her inner eye.

Sagitta jogged along the beach, concentrated on keeping her breathing deep and even. Her pace couldn't be called fast, but she was a lot faster than a few days before and felt a grim satisfaction at that thought alone. She would a few more weeks to get to her usual condition, but she was making progress and that was all that was neccessary for now. As soon as possible she had started to move, to train, intent to get back into shape. Tion was building sandcastles and while she had greeted him now and then, she had mostly kept her distance, unsure what to make of him and his behaviour. The place was strange, the weather always nice, the food better than anything she had eaten before, but it also filled her with a certain restlessness. It was peaceful, so peaceful she was nearly waiting for something bad to happen to her, for robbers to show up, for an earthquake - a threat, any threat. She had spent years sleeping with one eye open, and now she was here, spending time at a beach, beneath a beautiful sky. Turning a corner she discover Tion on the beach again, a glass of juice in his hand. She slowed her steps, noted the newst addition to his collection of castles and then changed her course, moved towards him. They would have to leave at one point, if they wanted to find out what was going on. And while she would like to spend more time here, train her instinct, duty called for her, urged her to get going. She wasn't a soldier to waste her time on a beach. She could use the minutes she had with Intensity, but the world outside was more important. "Tion." she greeted him, still not sure if he expected some kind of honor word. "How are you doing?"
-
Something like that, yes. With the masks maybe a symbol for the many different fractions that once lived there, that fought over control. Many names are forgotten, so people wear masks as a symbol.

Hello! Your character looks fine! I will add them to the character list later! ================ @ShadowLord_Lith

That is an awesome idea! We could also simply claim it's something like new year's celebration, although I also like the foundation day idea a lot.
-
Maybe we could have a meeting of some sorts? Maybe some annual holiday (that we would need to establish) that goes wrong.
-
"You don't tire me." Sagitta replied quickly, her eyes still on the door where Tion had stood only a few moments earlier. He seemed a little unset, but she had kept quiet, waited for him to speak. Intensity's short gesture of comfort was confusing, and the way his eyes narrowed - almost as if there was something going on between the two of them. As if Intensity thought she needed comfort. Her fingers had tightened on his as well, grateful for that little sign that she wasn't alone, that someone cared. She felt lost, unsure what to make of the gods and their behaviour. She knew that the stakes were larger, far larger than anything she could consider. She had stumbled into something, she couldn't understand, she couldn't grasp and with every waking day only more questionmarks seemed to appear. Her life had been easy, going in straight lines. She had known who the enemy was, who's orders to follow. There had never been a reason to question any of it, in contrast. It hadn't been her place to question. Her place was to fight and to protect, the whole complicated part she could easily leave to someone else. "But I can of course understand if you have to go, be somewhere else." she forced a weak smile on her face. "I doubt I'll be leaving any time soon." "And I fear, my progress with your gift is lacking." She admitted hesitantly, ignoring his comment about the sands. She had no idea what to make of it, and before she messed a reply up, it was probably better not to reply at all. "I never thought about it that way, but the last few - " she hesitated, realized she had no idea how many days and weeks she had missed. "Ever since I left Ta'e'ilo, I learnt that there is more to it, aspects and situations where I can use it, I never even considered before."

Hey

Intensity. He was Intensity. And he wanted for her, to shake his hand. And he knew who she was, he could see it in her eyes. Turning a little she slowly pushed herself up a little, inclined her head in respect. It was the only thing she could do, she doubted she would be able to get to her feet and afterwards down on her knees. And it probably would be awkward with him sitting next to her bed. Her arm shook from the strain of supporting her body, but she grit her teeth, slowly lifted her hand to shake his. His skin was warm and soft under her fingers and she tried to make sure, that she wasn't gripping his hand too hard or too soft. That hint of pride in his voice, the way he looked at her, that he took the time to be here with her, to greet her personally. In his home. "I'm Sagitta." she introduced herself, "It's an honor to meet you." Letting go of his hand she sank back into the bed, fought the exhaustion that made some dark spots dance in front of her eyes. "I think I might need a day or two." she smiled apologetically at him, hated herself for being that weak. "Thank you for offering me a place to recover." she added after a short pause, hoped he wouldn't think her impolite or ungrateful. Looking up at him in awe she found herself smiling like a child. "I never even dreamed of meeting you."

Ship It or Rip It?: The Forum Edition
Sorana replied to The Awakened Salad's topic in Forum Games & Random Stuff
So I figured I could start, give you some arguments to work with @AonEne Thinking about this ship, I have to admit I see many reasons why it could work very well. Shallan is intelligent, observes the world and loves to delve deep into its secrets. Rashek on the other hand, is far from stupid himself, so that they are able to hold a longer conversation, both parties benefit from and find entertaining. They could learn from each other, broaden their horizon and see a world they never knew that it even existed. Shallan evoled to be a self-confident, strong woman and I can easily see her stand up to him, or support him, depending on what is neccessary. With their knowledge and skills combined, the moment they work together, they are really, really dangerous for everybody who opposes them and I think, they should be able to reach nearly every goal they set themselves. They are both fighters, each in a different way, and they both are willing to sacrifice a lot for their believes and their loyalties. I can see them clashing when it comes to methods, especially regarding government, but I doubt that this is a real hindrance. Despite the fact that Rashek has a far lower border than Shallan, they both fight with everything they have for what they believe and also for their people. I think they can understand each other in that regard, and they can find a better, an optimized way together none of them would be able to walk alone. Their experiences and the different types of cultures they come from offer them many different options and also gives them the chance to combine them into something new. We don't know for sure how Radiant's age, so there is even a chance, that they could live for a long while next to each other, which is especially important, given Rashek's abilities. And let's not forget the optical part. Shallan's and Rashek's hair colour compliment each other perfectly. Both have rather pale skin, and her colourfull cloths with look awesome next to his darker ones. He is tall enough, that Shallan is smaller, which is also a nice plus. -
Shana observed Everest, as he walked over to the Voidbringer, as he watched it, him, she corrected herself for the first time. There was a flicker of something on his face, but it was gone so quickly, she wasn't sure if it had been there, or not. She stayed where she was, close enough to be able to step in should something go wrong. Apart from that she held back, left it to him. Watching Everest sit down in front of the Voidbringer, she realized that they had never questioned those that moved in with them. They had always opened their door, offered a room, something to eat and simply invited them into their family. She had never thought about it, but with the spy observing their school today, suddenly it felt foolish, as if they were inviting their own doom into the house with open arms. Shifting her weight to her other leg she considered the thought and its implications. Who could she trust? Who could they trust? Should they stop offering a sanctuary, to minimize the risk of a spy in their midst? It's better to kill them quickly, to prevent them from hurting others. What we do, is the right thing. Rob's words and she had believed them at the time, had agreed. What they did was just. It was what needed to be done. Her eyes rested on the Voidbringer and she realized, that if she voiced her thoughts, if she chose to put caution and fear over hospitality and trust, if she turned away someone in need, then where was the difference? Was there even a difference anymore. Everest was here, and it didn't matter why he was here. Unless he did something that hurt any of them, unless he openly betrayed them, she would trust him. Him and everybody else that walked into their hourse. She would fight and she would protect them as well, because they wouldn't be here if they weren't in need of help. Only those with a complicated, with a twisted past ended up at their house and to send them away, it could kill them. There was enough blood on her hands to sentence her to death over and over again. Right reasons or no right reasons - there had to be a border. It was one thing to fight magical enemies that threated innocents, that tried to kill her family. But it was something else to misstrust said innocents, only because maybe they once had done something wrong. She was the last one allowed to judge anybody. Here, for her, the past was the past. Important was the future and what all of them did to try and make the place a better world. @xinoehp512 @The_Archivist

Sagitta observed the man walk through the cabin, sit down close enough to hand her a glass of water. She accepted it and nearly spilled it all over her blanket, surprised by how heavy it was. Using her other hand as well she managed to hold it, slowly took a sip. She was thirsty and that little bit of water wasn't nearly enough, so she greedily took another sip and then a third one. Reluctantly she forced herself to stop, give her body a little time to adjust, knowing that if she drank too much to quickly, she would do nothing but vomit it all over the place. Resting her eyes on him, she tried to connect him to the beach house and to the strange air he mentioned. Maybe this was the place Tion had wanted to go to. Or maybe he had left her behind. A liability. Exhausted she turned a little, took another sip of water and placed the glass on the little table. Her hands shook, and she spilled a little of the water, but it was a relief to get the weight out of her hands. Feeling drained, she sank back into the bed, for a moment just lying there, doing nothing, only trying to sort herself. He had mentioned weeks. At least, that would explain why she felt like this, as if he whole body was consisting of nothing but sluggish mud. Realizing that she hadn't answered his question she gave a slight nod, tried to clear her throat, only to realize she had no real answer. How was she? She hurt, but it was better, a lot better than back in the steppe. Shifting a little in the bed, she found that she could also move a little better, now that she tried again. Opening her mouth she started to speak, but nothing but a croak left her mouth. Frowning she swallowed and then tried again. "I feel as if a horse stopped on me several times and then decided to fall asleep on top of me." She tried to describe it and looked at the chest again. There were so many questions she needed to ask, where she was, where Tion was, who the man was, what had happened, if she was in danger, or not. but for now she decided to start with the most important one of all of them. "My sword as well?" she inquired with a weak gesture towards the chest, hoping that whoever had brought her here, had remembered to bring her sword.

"Come one, just hurry." The girl's voice was excited while she hopped up and down, waiting for her older brothers to walk down the steep cliff leading to the little pier. Impatiently she watched them another heartbeat and then turned around, ran towards the shore of the ocean. "Tia, wait!" her brother called out, but she ignored him, pretended she hadn't heard his call. Instead she jumped from rock to rock, next to the path leading to the wooden contruction. The boat waiting for them was already there, but she didn't spare it a thought. Squating down on a larger boulder she looked down into the water, tried to see a fish, or maybe a beautiful plant, or - her eyes widened in delight when she spotted the jellyfish. It seemed a little haggard, but it was beautiful. Red and transparent and shiny. Slowly she laid down on her stomach, reached out for it, touched its huge ovel body. It was squishy, moved away from her hand and she pushed herself forward, to be able to reach down into the water and try to grab it with both of her hands. "It will burn you, if you do that." she yelped in surprise, quickly pulled her hands back from the animal. "But it's beautiful." she protested and poked down on it's head again. "And it doesn't burn me, see." Her brother only raised an eyebrow, stepping backwards. "Go ahead. Take it in your hands." Happily she turned around again, only to pause when she noted the challenge and the resignation in his eyes. "It will burn me." she stated and he nodded. "But I'm not doing anything. It has no reason to. I don't want to eat it." He squat down next to her, ruffled her hair and she moved away, shook her head. "But how can it know that you won't eat it?" he asked her and she fell silent, sucked on her lower lip while she considered his question. She had no idea, but her brother liked if she at thought about his stupid questions. They were always so complicated. It had to know that she wouldn't eat it, because she didn't eat jellyfish. With a sigh she looked at it a last time, bored by the situation. "Catch me!" she called out to him and jumped towards the pier. She liked jumping it was fun. You simply gave yourself a little push and then you were flying. She reached out for the pier, her fingers closing around the wet wood, slipping off. With another yelp she fell, dropped into the ocean. Her surprise turning into awe when she realized that there were other of the beautiful jellyfish, red and slightly glowling in the sunlight. She swam towards the surface, waving at them cheerily, a burning pain racing through her body when one of them wrapped around her leg for a moment. Her next move made it tumble away, but instead she felt something thouch her back, burning. Screaming she flailed around with her arms, vaguely could hear someone shout, several voices, loud voices while she waved her arms around wildly, tried to get away from the burning things. A hand grabbed her arm, pulled her out of the water, away from the pain, away from danger. Thirst. Her throat was dry, felt as if she had spent days eating nothing but sand while screaming as loud as she could. Sagitta tried to swallow, but failed, instead concentrated on breathing. She could breathe she realized and the pain was gone, the resistance she had to fight against was gone as well. Slowly, carefully she opened her eyes, tried to get a feeling for her surroundings. The world was swimming in front of her eyes, nothing but vague shadows, patches of color in front of each other, some moving a little, others staying where they were. Instinctively she reached for her sword, her hand twitching a little in response and she felt fear creep into her heart and soul. Move. She told herself. Your foot. It twitched. The other one. Another twitch. Hands, they twitched, head. It moved as well. Relieved she allowed her eyes to fall shut again, listened into the room instead, tried to discern if she was alone or not.

I can approve him like that, but please try to keep about 2nd oath level. Combat ineptitude in itself not a weakness, as you have to invest points to get a weapon skill. It would break the system a little, if you could get points for skills you choose against. If Voidus already approved him, then I can only repeat that. Post-Shift Eiran is definitly fine as well. Lita is fine with the swapped spikes and I'll copy Vivica.

Shana took a last bite of her cake, feeling a bit sorry for leaving it behind half eaten. But this was important. If they managed to gain some intel on how they had found them, why they were trying to kill them, hopefully this would lead to an advantage in the upcoming fights. She walked out of the living room and stepped outside, glad that they were finally doing something. That they were acting. It felt good, very good. Opening the door to the garage she paused for a moment, watched the Voidbringer they had imprisoned there. Walking inside she positioned herself close enough to him, to be ready should he try to do something, ready to react should he endager something. She had no idea if Everest could fight, but in the end, it didn't matter. She would start counting on his skills the moment she learned about them. Everything else was nothing but a nice bonus. She kept quiet, left it to Ben to open the interrogation, to go through with whatever idea or plan he had. @Lunamor @The_Archivist @xinoehp512

Mahad happliy let Ben walk downstairs, instead he stayed with Glint. "That sounds awesome!" he agreed. Talkative birds sounded incredible. "Do you think we can teach them something?" He asekd excitedly and gently lifted a wing to immitate touching the other spren. ================= Shana relaxed when Ben healed to wound on her, gratefully reached for his hand and gave it a slight squeeze. It felt good to be able to move her shoulder and arm without it hurting. "Thank you." she smiled at him, amazed again by him calm gentleness. He was brilliant. And if he had a way to get some answers out of the Voidbringer, it could only benefit them all. She had drawn enough blood for one day. "I suppose we head over to him, and see if he is willing to talk." She suggested and lifted her weapon. "And should he try something, I will stand in his way." It wasn't a question, nothing but a plain and simple fact. "Good thing, I didn't shower yet." she remarked, partially honestly relieved that she wouldn't have to clean up a second set of cloths. Partially it might help the intimidating part. Or maybe it wouldn't, she wasn't entirely sure. But no matter what, it had at least a huge chance to reduce the time she spent washing blood out of her cloths and that was a huge plus. "Let's go, are you two ready? Ben first, and if it doesn't work, we go with intimidating. If that doesn't work, we can make a break discuss how to go on." @Lunamor @The_Archivist

"The spren won't hurt you." Shana tried to calm him, when she noticed him looking around nervously as soon as she mentioned them. "They can't hurt you. Most of them can't even interact with the world at all, apart from lifting a small leaf or something like that." Considering his questions she leaned back a little. "He hasn't been here for long. Two days at most, and yes of course we took care of him. I have no idea regarding his rank, like I said we didn't question him so far." Her fingers opened and closed as if reaching for a weapon. "He interrupted the wedding of one of us. We had something else to do afterwards, tried to give the two of them at least something that resembled a celebration." At his last question she looked at him for a long moment, calm and sure of herself. "I swore to protect those that can't protect themselves. And they are hurting innocents, they try to kill my friends and family. If Rob hadn't encased him in stone, he wouldn't have lived to see another day. But what you shouldn't forget - they are human. And with everything we do - in the end we have to ask ourselves, if we are still doing the right thing. The moment we act like they do, the moment we hurt innocents - that is the moment when I think we should lay down our weapons and just stop." Getting to her feet she walked to the side, fetched one of the weapons she had hidden on several places. It was too long to be carried on her body all the time, but it felt good to have one close. Pensively she looked at him, waited for his reaction.
