  1. oh no! I'm so sorry to hear that! I hope you'll be able to see her soon!
  2. Anybody got a good recipe to make them? I tried a few, but they never were as good as I remember them...
  3. *hugs* I'm sorry.... mine lasted a least a bit longer...
  4. Hello @Emi and @Lunamor (I know you'll open her spoiler you're as curious as I am)
  5. *hugs* that's really hard, especially if you put years into the relationship! Don't give up, I'm sure you will meet someone who cares for you as much as you care for them. Regarding reaching out for her: I think you should probably wait a day or two, maybe even a week until you have a tad more distance than right now. Make sure whatever you write is polite and not accusing and only ask if you are sure you can deal with an honest reply. I think I personally would reach out, if only to understand what is going on, but in the end it has to be your decision.
  6. we all will at one point...
  7. Ashravan. What about Matt Damon?
  8. *sneaks into the thread to win*
  9. I'm so glad to see this is more active again!
  10. Her new position offered her a different viewpoint at the car, at Aln, Ben and the other man whose name she didn't know. She swept her head around tried to find the other Radiant. If he was a Dustbringer he would be able to move very fast, but she had reacted within seconds and she hoped that she would be able to see him in the street. The street wasn't empty and it took her a moment to spot the charred pavement, covered by a thin dust, leading away from the Van. He was running. With a sigh she stepped out onto the street, ensuring that the others would be able to see her, and reach her within a couple of seconds, should it be neccessary. She wasn't planning to face him somewhere, completely alone. Eyes never leaving the street she sorted through the figures, followed the trail of dust to a place she wasn't entirely able to see from where she stood and hesitated. She could go there. It would take her nothing but a thought, wouldn't even need that much stormlight. But it would mean that she had to face him alone, away from the others. Face a Dustbringer. Gritting her teeth in frustration she looked at her helbard, and then let go of it, waited for Brashen to reform on her arm. "What do we do now?" she asked him quietly. "We don't know where the other one went, nor do we know if there are others waiting for us to leave." she turned her head, wished that Max was here. Together, she would have a better feeling. "We can't leave the others alone, can we?" she asked him, and Brashen tilted his head, but stayed quiet. "If it's a trap, he will lure us away and then kill them." He made an affirmative gesture and then spread his hands, still not speaking. "Or he wants to fight, but prefers for it to be a duel." Brashen nodded and sat down, left the decision to her. "Aln." Althea called out to her. "Did you call the officials, inform them?" They would take a while to arrive, for sure wouldn't arrive in time, but this was an information they needed to have. How successful they would be finding a Radiant - Althea wasn't entirely sure about that part either and wished that they had never noticed the Van. A single night without a catastrophy. It would have been to easy. I'm changing position, moving a little further down the road. she informed Max. He tries to lure me away. And I'm stupid enough to follow. Walking along the street, she made sure she stayed in the middle, never out of sight of the other three. Thankfully it was long and straight, and she made sure she didn't leave the rest too far behind. If he ran he ran and she definitely wouldn't follow a stranger into the maze of Alleys and little streets all around. Too easy to be ambushed, to easy to die without a chance to defend herself. But she had at least to see, if he was really trying to escape or not. @Ashbringer @Rushu42 @mathiau @I think I am here.
  11. Hey @Fatebreaker could you give me/ us a quick update on this Era's main plot? We're nearly a month in and there's no real mainplot thread, so I'm a tad curious about the current state of the planning and how it will work. Thank you!
  12. He looks fine! Approved! ============ @BringerOfLight ==================== @Gears Welcome to the Alleyverse! Your rating see below in green. ============= Should you have any questions - I'll be off the shard until next Monday morning. If it's urgent please tag another mod, otherwise I'll reply then.
  13. Looking through the posts I seem to be the only one who wasn't that satisfied with her result. Somehow that feels weird
  14. I got Windrunner, with Truthwatcher and Edgedancer only a few points behind them. I can't help myself, but I simply like Elsecaller best, although I think Truthwatcher is something I could get used to. I know many will disagree, but Windrunners aren't the most appealing order to me, and I'm not even sure why. I suspect I like other concepts more, no matter what the test tells me. (Not that I would say no to an honorspren showing up.)
  15. Hello! Actually kenod already mentioned the points, that I need to ask of you as well. You character looks good, but for a detailed rating, could you please explain your oaths and the priate code a little bit? That way I can allocate them some points. The same thing goes for his spikes, depending on whether they are especially strong or especially weak I might allocate more or less points here (or it's simply 'normal'). ========== @Rosharan A.C. 16. Hello and welcome! Sorry for the late reply, was a bit busy these days. Your character looks good, rating and some feedback see below in green.
  17. A concept. Sagitta helped Tion lean against a rock, keeping quiet. Now that Tion mentioned that part she remembered. She had asked that question, had wanted to know who Last was when he'd appeared to her in her dream. She let Tion speak, ramble, noting the exhaustion on his face and in the way he held himself. His words were grand, as if Last was someone who should enjoy being in his presence, as if he was stronger. Which he wasn't. Augury. Filing the word away for later use she tilted her head to the side, considering a question of her own. Last was a concept. An idea. And he had come to her, because she fit, somehow his concept. Because she ended things, destroyed. The thought felt familiar again and she allowed herself to follow it. She destroyed, she didn't create. It was true she suspected. Her path was the path of a weapon, the path of war. Contrasting a few weeks, probably months before, the thought didn't hurt. Not everybody could be an artist, there needed to be those who walked a rougher path as well. And it was fine in the end. Tion created, he wove magic, he was intelligent, she prefered to use brute force and if that wasn't enough to apply more of it. Somehow that made them a good team. "Are there others like you?" she asked into the air. "Concepts? War, Love, Warmth, Pain, Death, " no Last Probably covered death. "First. If you're Last, then is there a First? What else? What is your role. You're not gods, you're something else." Otherwise Tion wouldn't be talking the way he was. That meant there was a third power. Something humans didn't even know about. "And what does all of this have to do with the world ending?" @AonEne
  18. Althea ducked when he threw her corpse her way, barely avoiding being thrown to the ground with it. Taking advantage of her momentarily distraction he destroyed another all of the Van and vanished in the could of dust he left behind. She pressed her lips together, decided to respon to Max first. If he decided to flee, she should be able to catch up to him, but he didn't seem to be the type to run away, despite his partners disappearance. So all of this was nothing but a trap. Here. she sent Max a picture of her location and the path they had skipped starting at the bonfire. He's possibly Dustbringer, definitely has a Shardblade and can rip walls apart. Aggressive behaviour speaks against any other order, but I don't know for sure. Yet. She would learn soon enough. Plus an unknown amount of other powers. The cloud of dust started to sink to the ground and she focused her eyes on a point to the side. She would still be able to see Ben and Aln from there, and didn't have to walk past the Van. And she knew that he wasn't standing close to that part of the pavement either. It took her only a heartbeat to appear there, looking around for the man. @I think I am here. @Ashbringer
  19. Her eyes snapped open at Tion's words and she was nearly back on her feet when she noticed, that they were alone. There was nothing. Open your mind, feel the power of the spot. He sounded like her mother. The thought made her smile and she extended her right hand, the left still holding on to the sheath of her sword, ready to draw it should the need arise. Fingers spread she felt the cool air, the slight breeze, but nothing the she would call power. Just a little warmth that spread in her hand after a while, possibly from the sun shining above. The air smelled moist, a little like the nearby ocean and she inhaled deeply savoring the smell, tried to take it all in, to grasp and feel whatever it was, that Tion refered to. Nothing. She opened her eyes again when he shouted, his face strained and he sank to one knee. Rushing over she stood next to him, eyes wide open, searching for something she couldn't see, she couldn't feel. "Who are you?" she asked loudly. Last could hear her, and if Tion was able to see him - then let Tion hear the reply and tell her. Thinking about her questions she felt as if she might have asked it before, but she wasn't sure, their last encounter still clouded in fog. A chill crept along her spine and she shifted her feet nervously. Suddenly the warm sunlight felt stale on her skin and the smell of the air nearly suffocated her. She hated this. The invisible powers, the clueless running around. Hopefully Tion had been right. Hopefully there were some answers waiting here for them. @AonEne
  20. "Everybody?" Vivi asked, considered his words. He wasn't entirely making sense, if they were all touched by the goddess why did he call them heretics in the first place? Did their goddess even care what they were talking about? She had always felt as if the gods were some distant figures that you better didn't rely on. It wasn't as if they were around to help you and besides, there were so many of them, that she wasn't entirely sure if there was something like a true god either. In the end, they weren't important to her, but as this Isarok seemed to be important to this man, it would be mean to tell him that Vivi didn't care. Her eyes darted over to the fire with its shifting colours and she regretted that they weren't there yet. She really, really wanted to dance and jump over, just as she had read in some old book. Tradition it was called there. Light a fire and celebrate. Probably also because of some religion, but that part wasn't important, not here. Not in this city with so many different people living here. The man was a lunatic, just like Rev had claimed and the way he switched between nice and angry only made him scary. "Even Rainbowglow?" she added instead, trying to move the topic to something lighter. Maybe he would stop shouting at Rev if he thought she was interested in what he had to say. "Because she can glow. And when she is hurt, when my mum can wake her magic and she heals." A part of Vivi suspected that her mother had done something else when Rainbowglow had accidently lost a leg, but the memory of her mother taking her hands, placing them on the hurt animal and speaking the old formula had stayed in her mind. There had been some light and then Rainbowglow had her leg back, her fur was even fluffier than before. As if she had soaked up the magic and transformed. Beautiful. Vivi had never been able to find out what excatly had happened, and her mother had only smiled and asked her if she believed in magic. Vivi had agreed and now kept an eye on Rainbowglow, wondering when she would work her magic again. ================= Aethers. Althea had expected a lot but not aethers. Statistically they were among the rarest powers in the city, allomancers, feruchemists or Radiants being far more common. And not only one, but two. She immediatly noticed Amberite, it's colour and crystalline structure making it easy to discern, even in the depth of night. His night bond was more fascinating, she'd only once seen someone use it, otherwise had to rely on sources speaking of its effects and powers. Instinctively she summoned Brashen, a slightly glowing helbard forming in her hand. Tapping more stormlight she filled her body until she glowed slightly, her eyes on the two in front of her, ready to defend herself should they move to attack. Instead the prisoner grabbed the other one and they fled. Exhaling in relief she walked further back from the Van, let her gaze move over their surroundings to ensure they were really gone. She couldn't see them anymore - but they could be back anytime. Dismissing Brashen and storing the stormlight again she walked back to the others, nodding a curt greeting at the man who had joined them recently. Aln had healed the injured guard and he was already back on his feet, albeit a little bit wobbly. "Let's head back to the fire?" she suggested calmly, keeping her attention mostly on their surroundings. "I can notify the police so that they can take a look at this, but there's nothing one of us can do right now."
  21. My favourite part of the shard/ the fandom are the people. I met so many incredible individuals here that brighten my day. I have daily contact with a handful of them on discord, despite hours of time difference between us and I look forward to however many messages we manage. Last year I even flew to the US to visit one of them and we plan to meet again next year. Some might know, some don't, but I'm more of a shy and quiet person. I still proof read every post thrice. It took a lot of work (and time) convincing myself to create the account, but I am incredibly glad I did. I didn't expect to find friends here, but somehow I did. Regarding my favourite section - well I'm mostly active in the role playing part of the forum and pretty comfortable there. I love to create stories together with others, and it's also nice to be more of a player for once and to focus on my own character, rather than being gamemaster.
  22. Sagitta nodded wordlessly and stepped up to the circle of stones. It seemed to be a little crazy, to think that this was going to work, but then - it could hardly be more crazy than Intensity's island. She set her bag down outside of the circle and removed her sword from her back, slowly walking to the middle of the stones. She had never been in the middle of such a circle before, it was a place for gods, her mother had claimed and Sagitta had believed it. And while she knew now, that this obviously wasn't true, she still as if she was intruding into some space she had no right to be. Sitting down as Tion had instruction she rested her sheathed sword on her knees. She could draw it easily, and she wasn't planning to sit here, eyes closed with a blank weapon. It went against anything she had been taught, anything she had decided for herself. When she drew her weapon, she did it to fight or to kill. And given the fact that they were planning to summon a god or something like that, she prefered if it wouldn't come to that. Closing her eyes she tried to remember her conversation with Last, the impression he had left on her. The way he had looked, how he had spoken. His words, his prescence. It wasn't much, most of it was burried, as if under a veil and she frowned, tried to remember more. Her father. He had appeared to be her father, had moved her to a room where she had been familiar and then - she'd known, had noticed the little differences, but they had been small, tiny, as if her mind had been trying to gloss them over, to make her feel safe and protected. It had been so easy to agree to his words, she hadn't even considered to question him, how could she, when he was a god. You didn't question the gods. Pursing her lips she tried to focus her thoughts again, on the little details that she remembered, tried to call to him, to catch his attention. I am here! she shouted her thoughts out into the sky. Talk to me. I need to talk to you. Please. @AonEne
