You could also play with the law part. Like you only steal things, that have been stolen/weren't rightfully achieved and therefore don't belong to their current owner. Take law in your own hands. Would be a great possibility to have a white character, that in the end is black.

So, I'm not really sure where to put this, but I think it will work here, as this is more a general planing thread for the next Era. Regarding the summaries: The last month has shown that it doesn't work to have an active summary of every thread. So I propose the following: we make a list with all active threads, and a short description what that thread is about. I would look after that list and keep it up to date. Then we still have a short overview where to hop in and what is going on. If someone is interested he would still need to ask for a summary in the thread itself, and rely on those rping there to fill him in on what is happening there. What do you think?

Damaya stared at him in disbelief and then shook her head. That had to be a joke. That was his explanation for murdering a child? "Do whatever you want Nogard. I won't stop you."

Reading The Wheel of Time Together [SPOILERS!]

Out of curiousity: What's MLK day? -
Damaya watched as Nogard attacked, as he called fire and took a deep breath, to calm herself. Only it didn't calm her. Stormlight filled her, it's rage mirroring her own, spurring her on. He had killed a child and he claimed it was for the greater good. This didn't work. There would have been another way. There always was another way. There had to be. Stop! Cease your conflict. Please. The island called out and Damaya slapped her hand against the gemheart, reached out for the island. "You allowed him to sacrifice the little one. You let this happen. This is as much your fault as it is his. You chose the easy way out, instead of looking for an alternative." Panting she stood there, her thoughts a whirlwind of fury and desperation, the storm inside her making it hard to think at all. "Damaya." Coru whispered hesitantly, fearfully. "You are taking the easy way out as well." "Go away!" She snarled at him and he cowered on her arm, his symbols shivvering, huddling close together. Frightened, slowly crawling away as if to not anger her further. That stopped her, snuffed out her fury and left her almost empty. "Without you nothing of this would have happened." He continued to crawl away, beaten, seemed to look around for a place to hide. To hide. That's what he had done all these years, hidden in the dark, tried to not provoke her, to not anger her. Because she had pried on him, just as her parents had pried on her. Had taken him into responsibility for an oath she'd spoken. She knew she should say something, but she couldn't. Apologize, anything. Instead she softly covered his body with her hand and pulled him close, pressed her hands with him between them to her chest, a wordless plea to stay. And he did, buzzed softly between her hands. She looked over at Rotcennoc: "Explain yourself. Not that useless babbling about sacrifice, but a real explanation." She stepped between him and Nogard. "We'll listen. And then we can decide." Stormlight glowed softly around her, evaporated into the air, as she didn't use it. Which was fine. She had no idea what to do with it anyway and as long as the storms raged, there was plenty.
-
Damaya followed Rotcennoc. "You killed a child." she called at him, tears streaming down her face. "How could you kill a child?"
-
Rotcennoc stepped forward: "Do not get upset. I can explain..." he started and then stopped himself when another storm hit the island. Do not get upset. Do not get upset. Do. Not. Get. Upset. He could explain. Damaya laughed. He'd just killed a child and the mother/ father whatever islands prefered to call themselves had agreed. She ignored the storm, they were inside, and if there was any significance to the fact that it hit the island now, it was lost on her. Instead her eyes focused on Rotcennoc. He had killed the little island. And storms, if it was only an island, Nogard had told her, they were sentinent beings. It could have been alive. It could have developped a mind and a goal, it could have lived. It could have grown up. Tears rolled down her face and then she lost it completely. Without noticing she had formed a fist again, covered the distance between them, pulled back her arm to punch him with everything she had.

Reading The Wheel of Time Together [SPOILERS!]
Sorana replied to ILuvHats's topic in General Discussion
Oh cool! But as far as I know it will be an amazon series, and usually there is only a short gap between when we get it to the original date. But then it also depends on whether it gets translated or not, or if I can get my hands on the OV. Let's simply wait and see how they handle it. -
Reading The Wheel of Time Together [SPOILERS!]

I checked the chapters of book one. Chapter 16 end on page 241, and chapter 32 on page 486. If we really want to stick with the 240 pages, it should work. -

That's a great idea! I hope it will be available for me at the same time than it is for you, or at least maybe only a day later... But I think we should get started on reading first... -
Reading The Wheel of Time Together [SPOILERS!]
Sorana replied to ILuvHats's topic in General Discussion
^what she said. I'll definitly have to start a full reread with book 1. It's been a few years and if I really want to discuss anything, but the basics, I'll have to reread it. I think a week for 240 pages will work for me. That's about 2,5 hours I have to spend reading and I can definitly find the time for that. -
Lena followed Freedom, interested to see what was going to happen.
-
Damaya fell silent, thought about everything that happened. Forcefully opening her hand again. She went through the words of the island and then shook her head. Rotcennoc had killed the new island, but he hadn't been alone. She looked at Nogard and Araha and then pointed down. "This island told me, that Rotcennoc is here to help them. So this island approved of killing the other one." Hesitating she looked around and then shook her head. "I'm sorry, I don't know enough about all of this to really draw any useful conclusions."

I'm fine with paying some points for the link. To the get frightened part: for me the fire was a trigger, not the thing she is afraid of. So if it's alright for you, slight ptsd maybe works better. That's more what I had in mind.

-
"So we need to get them out of the way and find they key? Do you know anything about the key?"
-
Lena peeked around the corner and then whispered to Freedom: "Alright, what's our plan? Who are they?"
-
Lena looked at him for a moment and then rolled a die. "Right." She announced.
-
"He killed what?" Damaya asked quietly, her fingers curling up into a fist.

Hi @Archer I updated their points and included the full bios. For the skills/ weaknesses I applied points I set them in brackets behind the corresponding skill, everything without points I included for information, or because it's a part of the character for me, but in my opinion not influencing the whole points part. Should you disagree, I'll gladly edit. To Damya: I specified her memory and illusion weakness further To Lena: I specified her disorder further; she now has a total of 80 points in mixing potions (divided in poisons and potions, as you suggested to spend more points to give me more flexibilty) To Althea: a question regarding a weakness. (each bolded and coloured) Damaya Lena Althea

Reading The Wheel of Time Together [SPOILERS!]
Sorana replied to ILuvHats's topic in General Discussion
I stopped somewhere during book 4 or 5, and then read those by Brandon. (Say nothing, I had a friend fill me in on the gap) I guess I could give the series another try. If we do this together I hope I can motivate myself to continue. -
"I guess we can give it a try." Althea replied. She wouldn't answer every question, but he didn't need to know that. Obviously he wasn't able to read her mind.
