  1. The man moved away from him, straightened his back, and pulled a knife out of his cloak. Next to him two figures, that had been croached low in the tunnel got to their, moved to confront Neo.
  2. The gate in front of him started to glow, the moment his hand touched the box. Zokora walked towards it, motioning for him to follow her. "Depends on what you think is exciting. A hideout, a place to live, if you wish to. A place for meetings." Then she stepped through the gate, her face stoic. She disliked the gates, they always made her feel like her stomach was turned upside down.
  3. The woman brought up her knife, futile against the staff as it hit her head. Her eyes rolled back into her head and she dropped to the ground in front of Max. A few heartbeats later, chains covered her arms and legs, one end leading to the wall of the tunnel close by. Althea turned away from her, tried to get a feeling for the situation.
  4. Lena froze at his question. This was stupid, stupid. He could outright tell Laurelai what happened to him. And if Laurelai knew, then that meant either she blackmailed Alask as well, or even worse if they were able to reverse the effects, then he had her in his hand. Shrugging she covered her urge to throttle him right here and then and took another bite of the cake. Maybe Laurelai didn't make the connection - but she knew it was nothing than stupid hope that led to this thought. Laurelai was intelligent, good at reading people, and Lena was especially bad at hiding her feelings. Even if she didn't understand what Alask was aiming at, her own reaction would have told her easily that something was wrong.
  5. Satisfied Zokora observed him open the door and then stepped inside. The room was larger than you would have expected, but safe for a large Oathgate like structure it was empty. She walked over to the gate, gestured at a box at the side, where you would normally expect a place for a shardblade to activate it. "Only the Triarchy can enter these rooms, walk through that gate. Them and those they grant special rights. If you wish to grant access to some of your staff, please keep in mind, that you have to renew it regularly. You can activate it by using your hand."
  6. Althea nodded, grabbed the bolt and pulled it out. It hurt, but it was better than healing the wound with the bolt inside her body. She had had enough of that today. ================= The woman staggered to the side, barely evading the blow. She stared at Max with wide eyes, lifted one hand in defeat, while her other reached for a hidden blade in her shoe. "Please, let me live. My husband, he can't care for them on his own." Her face was drawn in sorrow, tears glittering in her eyes.
  7. Lena took a bite of her cake, interested in Laurelai's reply. Stories were even better than food. "Can you really turn people into frogs?" She couldn't stop herself from asking, then shot them both an apologetic glance for interrupting.
  8. Althea noticed his eye, but decided not to ask what he had done. Too risky given their situation. "Go. Keep in mind that we need to question him." She whispered back, when a bolt hit her straight in the back. Pain exploded through her side and shoulder, but she kept quiet, gritted her teeth. Whirling around she saw more figures walking towards them, from the direction they had come from, to hinder them from running away. "You shouldn't care about his name. Just hand your money over. And that bracelet as well." One of them replied to Devaan's question.
  9. "He was with us, when we followed some guy to their laboratory. Or at least, the one he showed us. I saw no sense in their experiments there. They felt kind of useless." She shrugged. "But then sometimes you have to try things out, only to take a look at their outcome. I don't really care what they do. I'm only here because of the food." "Then there was some kind of rucus, and when Alask and me decided to take a look around on ourselves, he was gone. I figured he went back down here." A large gesture took in the whole room. "Maybe he's stuck in the toilet, or already left, I don't know." Her tone stayed the same throughout her sentences, indicating that she cared about as much about the lost person as she did about the experiments.
  10. Mike copied the list into his notebook and sighed. "We need a diversion of some sort. This won't work like that. We can't take them." "What if we tricked the precursors into attacking the Canton?"
  11. Damaya opened the door to the room she was staying in and placed her bag on the bed. It was simple, but it was enough. Smiling she left the room, Coru sat on her arm, hummed softly. Ever since they had left Koyeda, he had relaxed. Walking through the Canton, she looked around, searching for someone who might explain her how the whole part with training worked and where it might take place.
  12. The man inched closer, looked at the golden chain. "That real?" He asked, his eyes darting behind them, once, twice. "You seem to have some expensive things with you." His voice was louder, a bit too loud given that they were standing in front of him. @Minato™ @Ark1002
  13. Lena took in the amount of spikes, their placement, the change in Laurelai's behaviour. She compared what she saw to some of the stories she'd heard and decided that Laurelai had to be important. Or she simply liked spikes. Whatever, if she wanted to, she could probably kill them all with nothing but a thought. Or turn her into a frog. "It never hurts to be prepared." Lena nodded. "I always bring some food, you never know when you're hungry."
  14. Althea listened into the darkness, it came closer, and she slowly inhaled more stormlight, mentally touching the stone around them, the water, the air. After a while a man could be discerned at the corner of their small light. He stopped, stared at them, hesitated, as if considering to flee. @Minato™ @I think I am here.
  15. Zokora opened her satchel and took out a folder. Looking through it, it took her a while to find what she was looking for. Leaving through the pages, she nodded after a while. "A moment. I'll change you security clearance." Taking out a device she fell silent for a while, moved her fingers over it, cursing in between, shook her head, but then she nodded. "Follow me." Standing up she walked towards the door and then headed through the inner complex, until she arrived at a small door. "Try opening it."
  16. Althea walked through the tunnel, listening to the conversation. The splashing of the water, the quiet dripping. It was - There was something, someone. She lifted a hand, signalling them to stop, touched her ear and then gestured into the darkness. @Nohadon @I think I am here. @Minato™
  17. Zokora didn't flinch away from his glance. She would have second-guessed the choice if he had accepted easily. "Lot's of work. Responsibility for all this." She made a gesture indicating Oasis, the people living here. "It's no easy position. But yes, it's an offer to lead this guild alongside our leader and the Righthand."
  18. Zokora inclined her head in acceptance. "Few know that the Ghostbloods are not only lead by a leader, but by a Triarchy." She told him. "They work together to lead this guild, each focussing on something different, but with one goal. Glory and power to the Ghostbloods." "Right now there is an empty spot and our leader and the Righthand decided to offer it to you."
  19. Zokora closed the door and frowned at his words. Stepping over to the table she seated herself. "What I am going to tell you is confidential. I have your word you will remain silent about it?" Her voice betrayed nothing of her earlier irritation, it stayed cold and focus on the task at hand.
  20. Lizanne limped after them, unable to keep up with their faster pace. She listened to their conversation, understanding maybe half of it. Worry creased her brows. She knew nothing about them, was is safer to leave them, stay on her own? She might be able to find some food, but to forage enough for all of them would be hard. If she accounted the unknown dangers in - there was safety in groups. So for now she followed, tried to discern if they were a threat or not.
  21. Zokora lead Lusk deep into Oasis, into a part that was reserved for the council and whoever they had granted access. She opened the door to one of the meeting rooms and then waited for Lusk to step inside. @I think I am here.
  22. "My name is Zokora An'Inera. I am the Righthand's assistant and as I already told you, I am here on behalf of both her and our leader." "The Righthand excuses herself, she is busy with an important internal operantion. If you would follow me to Oasis please?"
