  1. "She has one." Lizanne replied, now and then looking over her shoulder. "When we're done here, we should go downstairs, sleep a bit."
  2. "I see." Shana replied without looking into his eyes. Bigger things he'd shared with Cassie. That were unimportant enough that he had the time to watch a movie, but so important that he had no time to spend five minutes talking to her. He could have told her, that he wasn't interested. That Jamie - maybe it was about her, or that unmade. But then if there really was a problem, Doc would have told them about it. Or maybe not. She was a Dustbringer, if there was a fight, she was supposed to be first row, it was why she was here, to fight for them. Hugging herself, because now she understood what was going on, what had happened. He knew of course Doc knew. He always knew. If he kept her back, if he took away her place it meant she'd failed him. For a moment she stared at him with wide eyes, then stared at the floor, unable to be here anymore she repeated, "I see." And almost fled the kitchen. @Dr. Dapper Stumbling up the stairs, they left her panting, shaking again, she paused, caught her breath and forced herself to her room and wrote a notice. Then she pushed it through the gap beneath his door into Rob's room. @I think I am here. Back in her own room she changed into a shirt and short pants to wear at night and out of habit even went so far as to brush her teeth. Her thoughts whirled around and around, nine words, it should have been so easy. "Mahad." She whispered. "I should have declined, but it was so much fun, I like to spar with Rob, he's one of the few willing to break my nose. But I should have declined. I almost killed him, because it was fun." Disgust coloured her voice black and she sat down in a corner, rested her head on her knees, her arms pulled them close to her chest. Tears ran down her face, when her thoughts again and again touched one point. "What about us? What does it mean for us?" Her spren only whirled around, slowly, uneasily. "I don't know." He whispered and came close and she hugged him tightly. "Apologizing was good. You can learn from your mistakes, that's good, but..." Mahad fell silent and she didn't add anything, but stayed where she was. Doc would throw her out, he had to. In his head she already was gone. The moment he had stopped trusting her, she was gone. Maybe her uncle would take her back, he had to. Because if he didn't, she would end up homeless. Life before Death. When had she chosen Death and destruction instead of Life and protection? Unconciously, but did it change anything? Maybe. Shana stared at the path she'd taken the first few steps on, stared at its black turns, stared and stared and stared. Fight for them, not kill her friends. "It's human to make a mistake." Mahad whispered. "I'm still here."
  3. Althea walked along the sewers, followedher map. Back and forth, turn after turn. Contrasting their earlier walk here, this time people hastened away when they came. Someone had to have found the bodies. Until they reached the part where the house was supposed to be. "Another trap door maybe?" She suggested and started searching. @I think I am here. @Ark1002 @Minato™
  4. Amara followed as fast as she could. @Chasmfiend#1 @Vargo Seldon
  5. Looking around Lena tried to think about something, anything they could do. She had no intention to touch any of the two, and they were out in the sunlight. The crowd cheered Alask on, and she smiled when she realized, that he was the one who'd killed the criminals. "I'm not sure." She told him and then started to search the forge. "If we find some acid, nitric acid, or even better sulfuric acid as well, we could mix them and then throw the beads into that." "Nitric acid alone can work." A forge, Laonin had created some beautiful things, to find some acid here was possible. Both were used to etch metal. @Turtle373
  6. "That one." She highlighted the path on the map and then sent the image to Max and Hellbent. "Everybody ready?"
  7. "That's a lot of blood. Do you think you should sew it shut?" Lizanne ask unfazed by the wound. She'd seen worse and she was growing tired. Once this was over they would have to sleep. She'd already seen a good spot, that offered some protection and now she a knife as well. If they decided to attack her, her chances were better than before. @kenod @Silva
  8. Pausing Althea wrote a few mails and then contacted her secretary. They had some clever heads, maybe they could run a simulation, try the possibilities out. It took a while, but then there was a reply, a point highlightened. A building above the sewers. She marked it on their map. "Lets try this one." "The others all end up with points somewhere, but one time we ended directly below a building." @I think I am here. @Minato™ @Ark1002
  9. Amara fetched her pinnate and then smiled at him embarressed. "I still prefer to walk. You're tall." She reched out for him her hand closing around some of his fur. It was good that he was here. @Chasmfiend#1 @Vargo Seldon @Turtle373

    The Perils of Eavesdropping

    I love it!
  11. "No. There are some silvery beads over there." Lena gestured towards the pot where she'd taken the beads from. "But don't attack the one with the glowing eyes. He's a good man. He's just unfortunate. Hopefully he'll turn back soon." Lena drew her own knife and carefully dropped a tiny bit of the content of the bottle on it. Calculated his body weight again. Batrachotoxin. Fast and strong but if Alask really attacked them. She grimaced and then filled a syringe with a bit of thinned Tetradotoxin, to have it ready. Deadly both, but as always it depended on the dose.
  12. "We need to take the boy. I can't carry him all the way." Amara gestured towards the roof. She took a few steps. "Thanks for coming for me. I thought he'd kill me." She whispered staring at her hands. @Chasmfiend#1 @Vargo Seldon @Turtle373
  13. Lena cursed under her breath. "The one with the glowing eyes is ours." She explained. "If we're lucky he'll stop in time. If he can't see us, we're prey. Running is bad, silver works against both of them." She looked around the corner at Alask. This was bad. "Welcome to the forge, I'm Lena by the way."
  14. Zokora nodded. The Warp. That was bad news. Psychic anomalies and the warp. She shighed. Why did that have to happen when her boss was away? She was earning way to less to take care of such things. "Will you lead the way?"
  15. Trust him, no. Leave him for the moment yes. Stop him, should he try to harm one of us. It's an official operation between us and the Canton. We won't undermine that by challenging their authority. Still, we'll do a full background check asap. She replied to Hellbent.
  16. "Thank you for your invitation." She looked around uneasily. Demons, the ghosts would be close as well. It was chaotic, strange, but then the cognitive realm always was and the comparison helped. Her hand neared her weapon, but she didn't drew it yet. Politely she inclined her head at Lusk and stayed silent, waited for the marine to answer his question. Her notes, the Righthand had sent her something - Zokora inwardly groaned. She hadn't taken them. They were still in Oasis.
  17. Althea sighed. "We've got ten numbers used. That leaves us with an uneven number for each direction." She added a dot to the map, highlighting the place they were at. Typing in the coordinates she shook her head. "No coordinates. So maybe left and right? What else could it be?"
  18. Tena, Thank you for the offer, but I can't leave my mission right now. I'll gladly cook you a coffee. Althea
  19. Hello Tena, It's always a pleasure to hear from you - even under those circumstances. I won't say no an alliance with TUBA against the threat, if we state clearly what we have to do and what we can expect. I sent my assistant to meet with the Black Crusade and discuss a possible alliance with them, so I can't send her over to your place. Do you feel like you need support from the council or one of the inter-guild-relationship guys? Then I can see if someone is free to come by. Otherwise just mail me the details before agreeing. I trust you to bargain on your own. I hope Solstice is fine - we really need to meet for a cup of tea once this is over. Althea
  20. Zokora neared the strange mist, the battleship still looming in the sky. She'd messaged Althea, but the Righthand was somewhere in the Sewers and for now Oasis was safe. Zokora would take a look around and she the next meeting was hers as well. Signaling her contact person, that she had arrived, she waited for a reply. No need to get shot by showing up unannounced. @Grey Knight
  21. Zokora paused and then checked a device. "I am sorry, I need to go. There is some kind of crises in Alleycity." She excused herself and stood up, handed her notes over to a confused looking woman and some others to the captain. Then she hastily bowed to the priest. "I mean no disrespect, please don't take it like that. But those belonging to our guild are in danger and it's my responsibility to see that they're safe."
  22. Althea listened to him talking, made sure her face stayed impassive, but as always she was impressed by the way he talked to Neo. He was good with people, a lot better than she was. I trust you. She replied simply and then changed the door back. Typing something into a device she opened her notebook again. Looked at the numbers. "I think it's most likely for them to be a code for where we have to go. Turns maybe." The device gave a short sound and she smiled. "Here's map. It might not be accurate, but it's the best one they had at hand. Let's see if we can find some kind of pattern that ends at a more or less useful looking place?"
  23. Lena grabbed her bag, ran over to the new woman, grabbed her arm tried to pull her away from the windows. Last time the shade had stopped when there were no more targets. But he was outside, in a street. People would start running soon. "Can you throw a blade? Or do you trust yourself to hit him, to draw blood, without him touching you?" She asked urgently, sorting through her bag, bright blue, she needed the bottle with the bright blue label. @Turtle373
