  1. Lizanne nodded, noticed how Lisa seemed to go easy on one of her arms. Without commenting on it she handed her one of the rags they'd cut into bandages earlier and then pointedly turned away. It was good to hide an injury. The weak ones died first. The longer you appeared strong, the better. "We should try to sleep again." She stated loud enough for everybody to hear and picked up the two halfs of her net. She would have to repair it, you never knew when it came in handy. Tiredly she sat down, hoped someone would decide that her watch was over. ======
  2. "A train." Attayl repeated. She'd never taken a train before. He had to be rich to travel so much, without ever having to work. Going by train sounded expensive. She felt him slowly grow comfortable with the steps until he finally stopped looking at his feet. That was as good as she'd expected him to get in the short time. Still she didn't stop him, waited until they'd finished another round. It was selfish, but she enjoyed their silent dance, commited the moment to her memory. She couldn't recall when she had been this carefree, this happy and so she was reluctant to stop it. "I hope you will find what you're looking for." After another round she turned her head, smiled at him. "Thank you. If you feel comfortable, we can stop anytime."
  3. She smiled at that, it had taken her almost a year until she was good enough to blend in with the other servants. Longer to imitate the daughter of a rich merchant. With his blue skin it would be even more difficult for him. "It's easy when you know how." She followed his lead, tried to not disturb him and to fit her movements to his. Grateful that he hadn't laughed at her for her words, for her childish imagination she let the topic slide aside. "You could try to lead us in a circle." Gently she took over the lead for a moment to show what she meant. "But keep to a small one, unless you want to end up walking into a table." That was important, the rest, some of the group dances were easy enough to learn on the spot and the waltz was the most important when it came to the other ones in her opinion. "How long long do you plan to stay here?"
  4. Thank you for the offer. Actually I do have some questions. So I thought about taking these skills: Magic, Enchantment Magic, Thrown, Writing, Increase Magic Do I need to join a guild up front? And what happens if I play an elemental? Does that change the list of skills I can access? What elements do you work with? Water, fire, earth, air, magic? Water, fire, earth, metal, air, ice?
  5. Lizanne let her arms fall down, as if burned. Had there been a sign? Carefully she took a step backwards. "I'm sorry. I didn't want to hurt you." "You should sit down. Can I do anything about the ribs?" Worried she moved a piece of wood closer to the fire for Lisa to sit down. "Wilhelm, Renata, do you know when a Shardblade appears?" She asked them and then suddenly something was there. She'd felt observed the whole time, but now - it was here. Behind her shoulder. Whirling around she stared into the darkness. Nothing. Invisible probably. @I think I am here. @ZincAboutIt
  6. Brillin stepped towards her, resumed the position she'd shown him earlier, even remembered to move a bit to the side. She smiled, happy that he was willing to give it a try, that he didn't hesitate before touching her, didn't look away. Her smile wavered when he asked her about dancing, though. She suspected he only wanted to talk to her, but while the question itself was harmless, it hit so close to everything she held dear. "I do." She told him quietly. "I rarely get a chance to, but I love it. We had this," The little bit of her usual caution that was left warned her to stop and she changed her sentence. Her voice stayed quiet, but it turned intense, longingly. "One day I had a chance to observe some lords and ladies dancing. Ever since, when I had a few hours for myself, I tried to watch them, listened to their lessons, or went to a dancing hall." She'd gotten better and better at disguising herself at changing her behaviour until she fit them perfectly. She learned their dances, their manners, copied their way to speak. She never belonged, but she was free in the different cloths, free to glimpse at a life she never had a chance to belong to. "I always dreamed that one day, I could afford to wear a beautiful dress myself, to go dancing when I wanted to, to drink tea and maybe learn how to write." It slowly dawned her, that she'd just told him about her dreams, and he was stranger. It sounded so stupid, so childish. I want to wear a beautiful dress. I want to be respected, to be seen as who I am. I want to be more than a ware you trade with. Blushing she looked to the side, over his shoulder as she was supposed to do and used her left hand to tap a slow beat on his arm. "So yes, I like to dance." She concluded her reply hasitly. "You have to start. You're leading me along."
  7. "Hey." Lizanne looked up, relieved to hear that voice again. Lisa. She was back and she looked alright. Tired, but alright. She had feared Lisa would be dead, her body eaten by Hellbent or by the terrible eye. But she was here, smiling even and there were no signs that she was badly hurt either. Lizanne limped over, hesitated and then shyly hugged her. "Are you alright? Is he still following you?" She asked worried that Hellbent would attack them again soon, that he would finish what he'd started.
  8. So you write, that he lowers himself, to his opponents level in case of a fight. If you really do that, I'm alright with the character. For me its most important that, as we have a pvp setting, every character has a chance to survive. So let's say you lower him to e.g. Mike's level for a fight/ duel. Are you willing to let him loose even though he could easily win? @Vargo Seldon
  9. Attayl nodded smiled at him aswell. "It's important that you don't pull on my arm. Use you upper body to steer your partner through the room. Otherwise the whole dance will become instable and you will have a hard time to lead your partner into different figures." She continued to explain, thought about what she had forgotten. "You look over your partners right shoulder, she will look over your right shoulder as well. Usually, there are special figures where that changes, but for now just keep in mind, that your partner most of the time can't see where your going, but she can watch out should someone cross your path behind your back." Attayl offered him her hand again. "Do you want to try it out?"
  10. "So Guns 'n Ninjas?" Mike asked resorting to the compromise. Nobody had really spoken against that so far. @Sherlock Holmes @Turtle373 @Vargo Seldon
  11. It does. Apart from that it would be strange if we 100% shared our opinions as well. We're similar enough as it is.
  12. *has read the books and didn't like him there either* You're right. A lot of his plot was lost in the show, as they focused on other things but the magic plot around him. I liked him better in the books, but he never counted to the characters I cheered for.
  13. Oh no! Please don't be sad! *hugs* Bran is great! He is the most important person and I liked his plot a lot?
  14. Amara stumbled a few more steps, then stopped. "You could take my pinnate?" She asked pating, leaned against a wall to catch her breath. She considered herself to be in good shape, but there was no way for a human to keep up with a bear.
  15. Althea followed them over, closer to Vesuvius, but kept back otherwise. Max and Hellbent seemed to be able to stand their ground. She turned to the side, so that she could see both directions of the tunnel and stood watch.
  16. I'll work on a character today. I've got a vague idea, but it needs some polishing.
  17. Shana stared in awe as the Strangers turned to dust and then seemed to attack Jamie. It was strange, as if there was another fight going on. Unsure what to do, she stayed close to Ben, in case the returned.
  18. Attayl laughed at his bow and curtisied deeply. "Lord Brillin." She greeted him as well, made sure to sound jokingly as, although it was so close to everything she'd ever imagined. Smiling brightly she thought about the dances. They were only two, so one of those you could dance as a couple would work best. "A waltz." She decided, lifted his left hand with her right one and took his other hand and placed it on her back, resting her hand on his upper arm. "With a waltz, you don't stand in in front of each other, but a bit laterally offset. So that your left leg, can step next to my right one, and your right one can step between mine." She moved a bit to the side. "Without that, we'd be stepping on each others toes the whole time." "Your right foot starts, a step towards me. Then the left foot to the side and close with your right one. Then the left one goes back, side with the right one and close with left." She stepped back while talking and stood next to him, demonstrated the steps, so that he could take a look at them.
  19. Amara tried to keep up, but she was falling behind them. Even Mutig was able to run a lot fast than she would ever manage. Her thoughts whirled around and so she focused on running. She wouldn't be captured a second time.
  20. Zokora nodded in agreement. "What do you want for leaving this world, taking your creatures and whatever with you and never return? She asked bluntly. @Vargo Seldon
