  1. Lizanne stepped back when he immediatly started to demonstrate. Mistrust shining in his eye, and then his words, twist it. Still she took out her own knife and repeated his motions. She held the knife, as she would while cooking and stabbed somewhere into the thin air. How was she supposed to hit s heart or an eye? Maybe just go for somewhere and hope that whereever she hit, it would hurt. "Thank you."
  2. Attayl looked at him, her voice turning serious. "There is no need for you to get involved." She told him quietly. She liked him, he had helped them, had protected her, but there were other ways as well. "You could leave the octant, you're a traveler. Rent a room somewhere, write your book." Sitting down she closed both of her hands around her cup. "I don't have a choice, right now I am standing on what seems to be the loosing side. There is no guarantee. But as you don't live here..."
  3. Zokora saw Storm and Edalb flee, the dragon flying after them and inhaled. Her body started glowing and she touched the others, grabbed them and elsecalled them all away. Lusk had told her to go to a roof, and that was where she decided to go, hoping that their troops would be there as well. @Vargo Seldon After a moment to catch her breath she looked over the city, the dragons easy to discern. Two dragons are attacking. We need support. She reported to Lusk and then hid, hoped they would concentrate on somebody else first. @I think I am here.
  4. Sure. We could work out the details?
  5. "So, we could start by finding out what is left?" Attayl suggested. "See how much power they have so that we can think about the consequences?"
  6. @Vargo Seldon
  7. Zokora discarded Lusk's message with a simple, None at hand. Then readied herself to slowly kill Edalb, when something stole her prey. She screamed in rage and rushed after the offender, stumbled out of the mist. It took a moment for her head to clear, then she reached for her phone again. If possible send me the location of other agents. Larger area dangerous. I'll check on them. She sent it and then added with a grimace, Thank you. Speaking loud she turned to Storm. "Thank you. I suppose that means the negotiations are officially over." @I think I am here. @Vargo Seldon
  8. Attayl listened to them, heard the shock in Brillin's voice, how easily Nerin agreed after reading something. Not for the first time she wished, that she could read, that she could grab the newspaper and see for herself what was wrong. Instead she depended on them - again. Just like she had the last couple of hours. "What's wrong?" She asked nervously. "What happened?" @ZincAboutIt @I think I am here.
  9. "Gladly." Attayl poured herself some and held the cup between her hands. Brillin had joined them, asked for the newspaper, his hair slightly messy, but his posture formal again. She inhaled the scent of the tea, but remained standing, her posture only for show relaxed. Her eyes rested on Rilen. He had challenged Nerin, and she had evaded. But she was the leader, she should have fought, showed him the line. So she did, careful to distribute her weight on her feet while leaning against a table, waited for Rilen to finish thinking about his words and her own.
  10. "Do you have a problem with that?" Attayl asked calmly, stopping next to Nerin and gazed at him without any sign of nervousness. Be strong. Then people respected you. And he had a problem with Nerin, she heard it in the way he pronounced soother. Not with her. With those influencing his emotions. Be strong, find a place then keep it. Show your teeth or they would rip you apart. They had to sort themselves. If it happened now, then it happened now. "She offered you a place to stay and you eat her food. You should sweep the floors and not talk to her like that." @Turtle373
  11. Welcome and great that you want to join! The Forge is a thread, that's a good place to start. You need no real knowledge about the setting/ the Alleyverse and its background, and (most of) the characters there are nice and helpful. You can start there, get a feeling for the setting and if you don't like it, you can always move your character to another thread.
  12. Attayl nodded and quickly slipped out of the kitchen. She would use Nerin's towel, not wanting to impose on them anymore than she already had. The water was cold. So cold that she'd barely submerged herself and her teeth were clatterin. Still it felt good to get rid of everything that had happened yesterday and to wash her hair. Shivvering she hastily dried herself and put on the dress again. She liked it, but it felt wrong to wear it during the day. It hugged her figure, and while tame, usually she prefered a wide tunic to hide in, at least when she wasn't working. And there was a huge gap between a tame dress and a wide tunic. When she returned into the kitchen she found it empty, but heard them talking in the main parlor. "The parlor will have to choose. They can't pay both. And choosing the wrong side can easily end up with everybody dead." She added to Nerin's explanation, stated it like a fact. Gang politic. That was something she knew about. @ZincAboutIt @Turtle373
  13. Lena followed Alask over to the table, served him some food. Warder was still sitting there, looking dizzily around. A satisfied smile spread on her lips as she filled up plates for Warder, Galvris and herself. "I hope you like it." She seated herself across from Warder, to be able to observe her better. They could always let her sleep next to the other one. The thought reminded her of the broth and she quickly cut some vegetables and threw them into some water and started to cook them. It would take a while. Before sitting down again she wrote a quick message on her phone, texted a friend to tell them where she was and what was going on here. Then she found an interesting ad for some glass bottles she'd bought before and saved the offer to her Alleyzon cart. Alask looked almost sad at the prospect to help the people here and she looked at him confused. What Galvris had proposed sounded so much like him, that she had expected him to start dancing happily. Lena sat down again and started eating. @I think I am here. @Vargo Seldon @Turtle373
  14. Attayl nooded at the prospect of a bath and was about to tell her, that she'd love to, but then the woman spotted the rag and suddenly everything felt wrong again. Had she intruded? "A bath would be great." She replied and then forced herself to be strong and calm, to cover her insecurity. "Only the small room. I didn't want to wake anybody. I hope I didn't overstep any boundaries?"
  15. Zokora received Lusk's message and pressed a button to record her reply. Typing was too slow. "I've got to kill Edalb first. Rip out his heart and hold it beating in my hand. Feed his entails to the crows. I can bring you an arm as present." She hissed, her voice distorted by the urge to destroy, to break his chest open and sort through his entails. Lusk was her superior, not following his orders was grave, but he could go and stand in a corner and weep if that saddened him. Monster appeared, but she left her eyes on him, the one that had attacked her first. He would suffer. And she would enjoy every second of. She hit the send button. @I think I am here.
  16. Attayl woke, when Nerin startled her by sitting up, but she stayed where she was, quietly curled up beneath the blankets. She waited until Nerin had left the room, then sat up herself and stretched. Her fingers touched her scar, and for a moment she hugged herself, pulled her arms close around her body. She had no place to go. She couldn't spend every night here and she still hadn't found the courage to ask Brillin if she could come along. She used the water of a bowl to clean herself, then quickly ran her fingers through her hair and braided it back. She had to return to her hideout, fetch her personal belongings, at least a hairbrush, a new set of cloths. But then she feared, who was in charge there, if they would let her leave again. Walking down the steps she looked for something to clean with and then started to sweep the floors and tables, in the small room next to the main parlor. No need to wake everybody up. After a while she heard Nerin come down, step outside and then walk into the kitchen, but she took her time, finished cleaning the room, including the windows and then headed into the kitchen. "Good morning." She greeted Nerin quietly. "Can I help you with something?" @ZincAboutIt
  17. Lizanne thought about his words, the offer. "I found one earlier." She revealed and touched her bag. A risk, asking him was a risk. But then, she was weaker then Renata and Lisa could at least run away. Strong, she had to appear strong then she might have a chance. Her eyes flicked over to the house again. Once Renata left, they would have to wait. "But I don't know how to use it. Would you mind showing me the basics? At least enough so that I don't hurt myself?" It was a risk. But he had been supportive so far. Had fought for them. A risk, but a calculated risk. If he said no, she hadn't lost anything.
  18. Lena leaned against a wall, her fingers tapped against the stone. His face had grown cold, hard. It would be interesting to see how Alask reacted to that, when he saw her cold face, he'd stopped talking to her for real. Good for him, but annoying. Usually she had a better grip on people. As long as they had this blackmailing thing going on, she could simply go along, but she knew she was loosing her grip on him. More and more people knew of the shade, and that meant he had something in his hand, she hadn't. She would have to dispose of him, before he told someone about him. Later. He was so naive, she figured she had some time left. It was good for her, if she was thought of as good and nice. Alask and his forge helped with that a lot. "So.... you want me to help against Plasma Core?" She repeated his earlier words, looked down into his eyes. Such a large ego in such a small person. She would have to poison him as well. To see his eyes widen, his hands claw at his throat. That would be something. "What's in it for me?" She asked, unable to hide her excitement about his proposition. She hadn't expected to be able to do something useful, had gotten distracted by the Forge and her idea to use it as a base. It made it easier to find someone to poison. But Plasma Core. It sounded like fun, like action. Alask could spend his time cleaning up, she'd never been one for boring tasks.
  19. "I can turn socks into dust." Shana offered only slightly helpful. "Or set them aflame, whatever you prefer. So if you lost one, and want the other one destroyed I'm happy to help." "That cake is fantastic Leona."
  20. Zokora was still trying to goad the spren, when Edalb stabbed her. She looked at the blade and then calmly took a step forward, off the sword. Turning around she grinned at Edalb, a mad gleam in her eyes. "You." She stated her voice cold and hard. Without hesitating she placed a hand on the sword, reached out for its molecules and resorted them. Moving the carbon to the sides she changed its concentration along the edge and both flat sides until it matched the one of cast iron. Steel was an interesting material. Take one iron and add three carbon and you end up with steel. Add more carbon and you ended with cast iron. Both metal, but while the carbon concentration in iron was around 2%, cast iron had up to almost 7. Because of that, it was harder than iron and significatly more brittle. Great to cast, but it broke when hit with force. The change left the core of the sword at a carbon concentration below 2%, while relatively seen, the concentration of iron was higher. Zokora smiled slyly. There was a reason you didn't use cast iron for a sword. It broke too easily.

    Gore on the Dancefloor

*imagines shards of glass lying on the floor, raining down from the ceiling, covering the dancers*
  22. "But then we're nothing better than they are." Amara didn't step back, instead she made sure she was standing straight, still looked into his eyes. When she'd suggested crushing the tower, she hadn't known that the tower was the building with all the vessels. "I agree - we need to do something. But how we do it, matters as much as that we do it. If we sacrifice half of the population, then we can leave as well, just let these things have their way. The moment society collapses, the moment economy collapses, most of them will die." She took a deep breath, made a calming gesture. "I won't accept us killing innocent because we aren't willing to take another path. I've seen them, most of them are in a state, that it doesn't need Lilia's powers to heal them, some I can help as well." "So, what do we know about them? Is there anything we could use as bait? Lure them somewhere, force them to concentrate on us?" @kenod @Chasmfiend#1 @Vargo Seldon
