But then Thoughttown would be crushed. And I really like these guys(most of them). But one of the Thoughttown Epics will be getting killed during the MEE attack. Just you wait.
-
Considering the number of characters I have, thank you for taking one off my hands.
-
Thank yourself for creating them and thanks for helping us out. I really enjoyed it. I'll likely be posting the Destructors entrance to Astoria tomorrow or Thursday.

Part 3 of the final part of a compilation between me, Mail-mi, and Voidus. Only one survived the building collapse. Hundredeyes watched in glee as his trap went off, completely immersing the survivor. There’s no way he’ll survive, Hundredeyes thought. I’ve won! There’s no chan-- Something emerged from the flames. A broken body stepped out of the explosion. The skin was completely seared off, and bone showed in several places. How... Hundredeyes thought in shock as metal started to grow over the Epic’s body. It sprouted from all over and grew until it covered his entire body. The shining sheets remained there for only a moment. They started to flake off, revealing the completely healed Epic beneath. He’s invincible... Hundredeyes’ shocked mind thought. Calamity. I’m dead. He was paralyzed from shock. He couldn’t stop what was coming. The invincible Epic’s face contorted into a scream of rage, and his eyes immediately found Hundredeyes. His hands were around Hundredeyes’ neck faster than he could shift vision. The Epic lifted him up to stare into his eyes. “You killed each of my followers, and now their leader is here to do the same.” There was nothing Hundredeyes could do. “Goodbye, little Epic.” As Hundredeyes struggled for his last breath, a final thought crossed his mind. If I’m dying, this town is dying with me. And he triggered the explosion for each one of his glyphs. Every. Single. One. Explosions rocked the city of Connell, putting on one last show for its masters’ deaths. http://i1292.photobucket.com/albums/b573/Mailliw73/bjicon_zps07dbf362.png/img] Jag hated when his plans were interrupted. He had almost reached Hawkwing when some more soldiers had decided to charge him. He had to go out of his way and kill them now. They were simple to kill, but annoying. Why did they get in his way? Couldn't they see that he was superior? Jag growled as he decapitated the last soldier. He called his four remaining commandos over and told them to get in the Lightning and be ready for trouble. New Epics were unstable. When one became an Epic, everything changed. The humans got in your way and the inconvenience infuriated you. New Epics went on a rampage most of the time, killing indiscriminately. Jag would need to stabilize the commando, Mike, before he killed all the commandos or demolished the other Destructors. Black Jaguar came around the corner just in time to see two bodies hung on poles by a dark-skinned man in a tank top. Mike. He remembered when he had taken Mike from the prison in Vegas. He had been angry and Jag had channeled that anger. Now he would have to do it again. "Mike," Jaguar called out. The new Epic turned around. "Mike is dead. I am Desolation," he spat. "Desolation, then. The Destructors could use an Epic like you. Will you stay on with us?" Jag inquired. "I am no slave to you," Mike, Desolation, said. "You never were. But now, you will be a full partner." "I will be the only leader," Desolation yelled. His fists lit on fire. Jag leapt with all the power his enhanced muscles gave him. Hawk had said that Mike had vaporizing powers, but that was unlikely to affect Jag. He extended his claws and swiped at Desolation's face. He caught a flaming fist in the mouth in exchange. His hit had landed as well. Desolation gingerly felt the cuts, surprised that he had been harmed. New Epics were always so arrogant. Jag felt himself being lifted into the air, as was Desolation. Wind powers. Jag nodded at Hawkwing and the flying Epic let loose with his bullets. Not one hit Desolation. That meant his power was also a passive one. Jag stood still, waiting for Desolation to make a move. Suddenly, his stomach felt like it was moving up his throat and Jag felt air rush past him. Desolation had let him fall. Jag smiled and waited for the impact. When it came, he absorbed the force with his knees and taunted Mike. "That's all?" He saw Desolation's eyes narrow as he flew down lower. Jag was ready. He grabbed the new Epic's neck in a headlock and wrenched one of his arms behind his back. Desolation fought back powerfully, but Jag's strength triumphed. He twisted Desolation's neck slowly, letting him feel the pain. "You cannot kill me and I can kill you. Last chance. Will you join us?" Desolation nodded. "Good." He released the hold on the Epic and stepped back. He reached out and caught the fist that Mike threw. He knew it would come; Epics like this always wanted the last word. "You're done. You are an equal member of our team now. The Fifth Destructor. Do well." Hawkwing flew back down to the ground and spoke, "You did well today, Des. You'll be an important member of our team. Let's go find the others." Jag agreed and, with Hawk, began walking to the other side of the building. After a moment, Desolation followed. The Lightning with Jag's commandos followed behind. Suddenly, explosions throughout the city rocked the ground itself. The opposite side of the building crumbled. Jag ran, his two fellow Destructors flying behind. As he rounded the corner, he saw Metalmech drop a body to the ground. "Metal! What the Sparks just happened?!" Jag yelled. A city in ruins was not worth staying in. He had no idea what was happening. “Another Epic,” Metalmech growled. “He could set off explosions. He must’ve decided to rig the whole sparking city! Gah! He killed every one of my Commandos, too.” Smasher came running around the building with his commandos in their jeep just as Metalmech answered. A quick report concluded that all the major Connell Epics had been killed. "We can work with this. Plan to move on in two days. This ruin of a city isn't worth much anymore. I'm heading to the prison with Hawkwing to gather new commandos. We'll set up base there. Meet us there in two hours, but otherwise, you have the rest of the day to yourself," Jag said. He brought War Smasher up to speed and headed off to the prison to establish a base for the remainder of their short time here and to replenish their commandos' ranks.

That is surprising, actually. I did think of Simon when I wrote that, but his would be a mental control. Suggestions would be much more likely to be followed, unless strictly against what he human believed and depending on how much effort Hypnotist put.
-
So, I just thought of this today and wanted to put it out there. Voidus, you likely already have an idea like this, though. I was thinking of a hypnotist Epic and how freaky and awesome that'd be. Hey could hypnotize their subjects to serve them, fight for them, kill themselves, and any other number of horrifying things. Just an idea if anyone wants it. I'd take it, but with three RPs in the works, all the characters I have here, and Elimination, I don't really have the time right now.
-
The Connell scenes have been some of my favorites to work on. Possibly because I have a bunch of OP Epic's rampaging, but hey, that's what Astoria's for. Mike is very powerful. The Destructors needed a bit more...destructive powers.

Quick Fix Game 6: A Time of Nightmares
Mailliw73 replied to Herowannabe's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Hey it's been worse. Claincy ran games in Australian time and that threw me off. The turnovers were always early, early in the morning. Most have been fairly reasonable.- 218 replies

Yes, yes you are. Yeah...I've tried. I just gave up and just wait for you to get on. Pixar movies? Those are life! My brother can quote the entirety of Cars. I can't remember the lines like that though.
-
Yeah. You and Twi are almost constant throughout my day. Edge I know because I've waited for his feedback and I noticed that he's on while I'm at school, but gets off shortly before I'm home and then gets on just before I go to bed.
-
You'll likely have to wait for Edge to answer that and he's usually not on for about 6-7 more hours.

I wasn't able to post it on the actual Valentine's Day, but I did write it then, so it counts, right? I was trying to think of which characters I had that needed a Valentine's Day post and this was the obvious answer. The only thing I don't like about it is that I switched POVs so often. That's what happens when you match up two of your favorite characters and want to write from both of them, I guess. It was hilarious.
-
Thanks. They're both suuuuper awkward, but it's cute. I want both. Ummmm, I like the Financier idea, but Portland hasn't had many big things happen recently, though I did like pissed off Lightwards. So I'll vote for Unicyclist. Yes, I know that ties it.
-
Considering the powers of the other Astorian Epics, a medium building limit is very reasonable. I forgot all about those days, Kobold. Thanks for the reminder. ...Me too. Newan just PMd me saying that he's been busy and stressed lately, but he's trying to catch up on things like this, so hopefully anyone waiting on him(I think it's just me) shouldn't have to much longer. Since I'm back from my vacation, there's a late Valentine's day post up in the WHOOC thread. Flashrunner anyone? If anyone wants me to write a part two, let me know.

Arsenal had sent Emma on a boring recon mission to Portland. She didn't know of anything important about Portland. It had some factions and they were warring for territory, but that happened in almost every large city these days. Emma thought that Arsenal had really just wanted her out of his hair, or rather, eyebrows, for a while. The big Arse could really live up to his name sometimes. Emma wasn't even supposed to use her powers unless necessary so that she could stay unnoticed in town. She'd likely be recruited by the different factions if they saw her flying around. She still didn't understand how others thought flying was fun. Sure, there was a thrill to it, but it felt more like falling sideways or falling up than anything else. It was disorienting. Not every flying Epic had powers like her, though. She'd never heard of another one who manipulated their own gravity. The others all had real flying powers. Emma had always wished she could fly, ever since she had wished to be a fairy as a child. Now, she fell through the sky in a bit of a twisted joke from Calamity. Emma ventured towards the northern part of the city, where an intelligent illusionist reigned. She heard that while he was harsh, he was the most benevolent Epic around. If a Portlander could get into Thoughttown, they'd have everything they needed as long as they worked. Not everywhere was like that these days. Emma walked through town, wishing she could fly and get there faster, and she saw the walls of Thoughttown approaching. Flying above them, she saw a man in a black uniform similar to the guards, only his had a blue cape attached. His dark brown hair spiked up, matching his chocolate brown eyes and dark tanned skin. She noticed herself smiling and laughed at herself. Mooning over a Thoughttown Epic? She didn't even live here. But, sparks, he was cute. And he had real flying powers. Flashpoint was making his rounds over the walls of Thoughttown when he looked outside of them to see a girl with long, curly dark hair looking up at him. His flight faltered for a bit at the shock of the sight. He smiled at her as he regained his composure. She laughed a bit and he hoped she wasn't laughing at his brief fall in the sky. She had no costume, nothing that differentiated her from a normal human, but something about her smile made him feel epically happy. Even if she wasn't an Epic, Flashpoint wanted to see her again. He continued making his rounds, but he couldn't get his mind off of the short brunette. Her curls had tumbled over her shoulders perfectly and her teeth had shone like stars. After he finished reporting to Altermind, he flew out of Thoughttown determined to find the girl. He flew over the city, scanning the people below for the dark blue sweatshirt and perfect brown hair. He found her finally, just as she began sliding down an alley. She had to be an Epic then. He grinned and did a little loop in the air before landing behind her. He cleared his throat, but before he could utter a word, the girl had spun and whipped out a knife from her sweatshirt pocket and had stopped him from moving somehow. Emma had kept thinking about the flying Epic all day as she explored Portland. Finally fed up with not using her powers, she made sure no one was following her and then, decreasing her friction, slid into an alley. A noise alerted her to a presence behind her. She spun and whipped out the knife from her sweatshirt pocket. She increased the friction of his clothes, stopping him in place. Something like that wouldn't prevent him from moving entirely, but it would hamper the person. As Edgerunner took a better look at the person, she realized it was the Epic from Thoughttown. "I'm so sorry, I didn't know who it was, I'm sorry," she stuttered out embarrassedly as she reverted his clothes' friction back to normal. The Epic cleared his throat again and, with his face flushed, stammered out some sounds. "Sorry, what?" Emma asked. Flashpoint cursed at himself. Sparks, sparks, sparking Calamity! He finally meets the girl of his dreams and he gets caught by her and then only managed to stutter. How stupid! He really was an imbecile. "I-It's okay. I'm okay," he managed to get out. He looked down, out of her beautiful brown eyes, and brushed imaginary dust off his uniform. He felt the blood pulsing in his face. The girl stepped up to him and began chatting, "I'm so sorry. Did I get you dirty?" She brushed at his chest, trying to help, and Flashpoint felt his heart skip a beat. Chills scampered down his spine. Emma felt like an idiot in front of this cute Epic. He brushed at his uniform, his wonderful uniform, and she immediately felt guilty for dirtying it. She stepped up, embarrassedly jabbering apologies as she wiped at his clothes. His hands stopped for a second as she touched his chest. "I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to touch you, I just wanted to help." She stepped back a step. "It's o-okay, go ahead," he said smoothly, reaching for her hand and gently bringing it back to his chest. Now he'd done it. Flashpoint felt so stupid. He'd frozen and she thought he was an arrogant Epic like Altermind. He managed to awkwardly tell her that it was okay. Hand shaking, he reached for his, unsure where the courage was coming from. This was much harder than the battle against toy soldiers had been. She probably thought he was a bumbling fool as he grabbed her hand and brought it back to his chest awkwardly. "I'm Flashpoint. Lieutenant of Thoughttown," he tried to say proudly, but it sounded more boastful. Now she'll think I'm even more arrogant. Emma smiled as he brought her trembling hand back to his strong chest. She wiped futilely at it a couple times and then he introduced himself. Flashpoint. A lieutenant. He was more important than she had thought. She smiled up at him and introduced herself. "Edgerunner from the Dalles, assassin, but you can call me Emma," she said softly. An assassin? Wow. She was powerful then. Flashpoint might be a soldier, but she was an assassin. And she wanted him to call her by her human name. Not many Epics did that. She was confident. "I'm Frank." It felt strange to tell someone his original name. He hadn't had someone call him Frank since he'd been granted powers. He had thought it made him weak, but now, he thought it made her strong. "Would you like to have dinner with me?" He asked boldly. He figured he could ask Altermind for a night off. It was only one night.

Yes, I would. Switching characters would be pretty fun. I just need Mail-mi to write a Metalmech post and then once we get that final collabo post up, I'll get them to Astoria. I'll work on that dictionary. WHOOC: (n) A place where things crazier than normal may happen. (Adj) Used to describe a scenario that is implausible beyond normal Oregon standards. Ex: Nighthound being a nice grandpa? That's a whooc idea! (V) To create something that could never happen in canon. Ex: Today, I whooced about Lightwards being an environmentalist Reckoner. Alan: (v) to send someone a private message usually concerning matters related to the Oregon RP. This sounds really cool. Am I the only one who wonders what the Listeners are?

This idea sounds great!! I love all these comics.

Edgerunner had been busy when Scribbler waved her over. She didn't know why the other Epic was interrupting her while she fought these beasts. Then she saw it. A cloud of ice, rising above the ground. No one in the Dalles could do that, but then again, ice spikes were plunging into pandas near the cloud. Either way, they should check it out. The big Arse himself would want to know. Scribbler yelled out to the cloud, "Identify yourselves!" The two women on top of the cloud looked over. One was obviously the ice Epic, she dressed in obviously icy clothing. Like most Epics, she thought she needed some costume that matched her powers. The other looked regular, but seemed not to be a slave. Edgerunner appreciated her style. It was simple and comfortable, like her own. No need to be ostentatious. The simply dressed girl answered, "I'm MV, this is Elsa, we both just arrived in the city but I've already been to see Reader and Autumn Glass, she's the one who let me help fight these weird panda things." Edgerunner smiled. Definitely an Epic then, and one that realized the value of blending in. MV was a strange name though, she wondered what it stood for. The ice woman smiled at her, speaking up as well. "It's true. I actually arrived in the city a little while ago, but that is irrelevant. May we go past you now?" Edgerunner opened her mouth to answer, but just then, the ice Epic, Elsa, moved her cloud closer and cut her off rudely. "What is your answer?" Edgerunner frowned slightly. "I'm Edgerunner, or Emma. This is Lucy, or Scribbler. It's nice to meet you," Edgerunner pointedly looked only at MV as she said that. "We could use your help fighting these animals. If Autumn let you come, we must really need more help. Will you fight with us?" Edgerunner smiled at MV, hoping that they wouldn't try to force their way out. If they did, Edgerunner and Scribbler would have to stop them. She didn't want to waste time fighting nice girls when they were being besieged by an army of animals lead by pandas.

Wow, Altermind's a genius. I didn't even know that, but wow. If she were Darkrose, They would've each unknowingly used the other's weakness. Only in this case, I didn't even know. I just figured it'd be something that got to Sam. Not that we do a whole bunch of planning anyway. Voidus, did you want to go next in the Dalles or do you want me to?
-
If we're doing separate ones, a Möbius loop with random happenings(like Voidus suggested) would be cool for the fight one. The tutorial one should probably be on Earth, I think.
-
Did we want a separate thread for the random fights or to just combine it with the tutorial?
-
How about now? We might as well start it, I think. That'd give the new players somewhere to put their players without having to wait for Astoria or for a good time in the Dalles.
-
A warning for you guys: Tomorrow afternoon, I'm heading out of town for the long weekend, so I don't know how often, if at all, I'll be able to post. I'll be back Monday night sometime. I'll keep up through my email, and I might get time to write up some RP, but I don't know if I'll be able to post it. This Tutorial/Random Fight thread sounds really fun. I think we could set it up as soon as Twi wants.

I would not suggest ripping open said dress for this cosplay.

Like Calamityville sorta? Wow. 29 hours and already on Page 10.
