  1. Oops, I missed the spoiler tag, ty.
  2. Could you post a link to the entire thing? It sounds like it has some interesting stuff in it.
  3. Opa is flower. The Aon for power is Daa. From what we have seen so far it seems to be used for energy attacks.
  4. @Ethan_Sedai I'm not sure that those Aons work the way you think they do. The Aon Rao that makes Elantris is almost certainly unique in its ability to enhance the power of Aons, anything else would break the entire regional lock mechanics of Selish magic. Aon Omi is the Aon for love, I do not recall it being used in the books.
  5. I just want add that pulling people that died out of the Cosmere before they died would be incredibly cruel. When they die they go into what seems to be an eternal afterlife with their loved ones (we don’t have confirmation of this, but it seems to be heavily implied by Vin and Elend). Pulling them into our Universe would effectively destroy that.
  6. Why would you need any of the other stuff if you were a Shard?
  7. Eh, Odium leaves the worlds behind when he's done, he's just after the other Shards. Ruin, on the other hand, would see the thing done properly.
  8. If my understanding is correct, there are numerous religions in the western parts of Roshar. Vorinism is only dominant in the east.
  9. People didn't generally die of "old age" in their 30's. Usually it was some combination of disease, malnourishment and injury/subsequent infection.
  10. As I've said in previous threads on this topic, Elantrian. It's the only system that doesn't have a way around initiation, even Hoid couldn't do it. If I was adding another magic system, I would probably go for Surgebinding. If my theory that Renarin is using the same Surges as regular Truthwatchers turns out to be true, I would try to attract one of their Spren. Visions of the future is not something that we have seen an Elantrian do (I'm not sure what the deal is with Riino's orb). The other option would be Bondsmith, but I feel like it would be exceptionally hard to attract one of those Spren, and even harder to get it off world. I feel like the real advantage to having a Spren bond as an Elantrian would come from it's interaction with your Aon Dor abilities. We have seen that Shardblades can have runes or glyphs on them, so why not Aons? It would be really handy to be able to instantly form an Aon on your Shardblade rather than having to draw it. I don't know if it would work, and I don't know if there would be any consequences for channeling the Dor through a piece of Honor. While I admit it would probably be challenging to get a Spren off of Roshar, it is worth noting that Elantrians have demonstrated the ability to directly effect Shards, as they did in Secret History. If they can do that, I really can't see hacking a Spren bond off world presenting a serious problem. If getting a Spren off of Roshar proves to be impossible, I would go for two Hemalurgic spikes. F-steel, because I feel that speed is the only real advantage that a Fullborn has over an Elantrian, and one of either F-copper, F-duralumin or F-nicrosil. The choice comes down to how F-nicrosil and F-duralumin interact with you access to the Dor. If F-duralumin lets you use Aons away from Sel, it is the go-to. If F-nicrosil can change how powerful your Aons are, it would be second. Finally, if neither of those work, F-copper would let you memorize Aons ahead of time and then recall them when you needed them. When combined with F-steel, you would be a serious threat to anyone. Breath goes without saying, you simply get as much as you can. Why not go get a cool Invested pet bird while you're at it? Overall, I would say that almost any magic system will be redundant with an Elantrian's abilities, but having the Feruchemical powers I listed above could provide a certain amount of convenience, as well as fill what I consider to be an Elantrian's biggest weakness.
  11. I can't even break out of the Cosmere, let alone read books from a different author.
  12. The Bands should have had A-everything, they are a nicrosil metalmind made by a Mistborn with Hemalurgic F-nicrosil. Wax used A-iron to tether the airship. I don't have the book in front of me to determine if they used any of the other metals or not, but they should have been able to. I suspect that we don't see any other Allomantic medallions because Allomancers are likely rare in southern Scadrial. They are only as common as they are in the north because of Rashek injecting the investiture into the population via the Lerasium beads.
  13. Who the heck is Senna?!!??!?!?! I need more Elantris too. What we got it the book was an appetizer.
  14. I'm not sure how this is "reverse" compounding, as it is simply nicrosil compounding. What you are suggesting is widely speculated to be how nicrosil compounding works. We probably wont wont get confirmation until book four of era two, or in era three. A-duralumin doesn't hold a candle to F-nicrosil. A-duralumin wipes out your metals and doesn't let you control how much power you use. F-nicrosil lets you fine tune your power usage, as well as giving you much higher efficiency with your metals. F-nicrosil also has great potential to be combined with non Scadrian magics.
  15. I think its Ash. She and Taln have now joined the main story with their discovery by Jasnah at the end of OB. I expect both of them to be present for at least some of RoW.
  16. Ruin, because our world deserves it...
  17. I was really afraid of Avengers spoilers because if the title. I only read the first line before I chickened out and came down here to post.
  18. Leshwi is actually who I was thinking of. Maybe Turash as well. Would be cool to see into their side of things. I’m sure that watching millions of their people be killed by the alien invaders over the millennia has left them with deep emotional scars.
  19. I'd like to see some Fused PoV. A Rayse PoV would be cool too. Maybe a PoV from one of the spren. A PoV from all of the living heralds (I think we've seen Kelek, Ash and Taln). Those are all pretty major characters, so for my minor character I want to see more Stump. I need to know if her powers work the same way as Renarin's.
  20. I would be surprised if their spirits can be taken off world for any reason but returning to Roshar’s physical realm. In answer to your question, if Braize broke the heralds and the fused, it’s probably the worst place in the cosmere
  21. Maybe they have a reproduction hoardling that they use to mate with other sleepless. Kind of like a queen in an ant or bee colony. I supose they would need to lay eggs and then have them fertilized, so there would need to be drones/consorts as well.
  22. Soulcasting antimatter would probably be about as devastating as it gets. It would probably be pretty simple too. Antiparticles share all of their traits with their complementary particles, so it's really just a matter of changing their charge. Obviously advanced physics doesn't fit well with the setting of Roshar, and these abilities would break the story. For both of those reasons I doubt that we will ever see Soulcasting reach this level.
  23. I imagine that he does create new Fused when the opportunity arises. The issue is that he would need a singer that is worth making into a Fused, and who is willing. Mistborn stuff
  24. I feel like the "She's strong because she was raped" theme is way to prevalent in TV and books. Women can be strong, capable & independent without being raped. I agree with what Brandon said in the link @Elegy provided.
