    Tena felt a weird sense of something rising up in her chest. It had been, what, almost twenty-one years since someone had told her that she was in any way more than repulsive? Yes, it had been. And here was Anthony, telling her that she was beautiful freely, almost like he believed it was true. She leaned down and kissed him, right on the mouth, without so much as thinking about it. @Ark1002

    Tena was a little confused as she leaped onto Ani's wide chest and stared him in the eyes. "Are you okay?" she asked quietly, breathing in some stormlight from one of the spheres in her purse, then using Progression on him. She could fix whatever was wrong with him. Then, she was suddenly struck by his eyes. His eyes were beautiful. She then did the most unexpected thing she'd ever thought she'd be capable of. I love you, she mouthed at Anthony, and it was like saying it confirmed it. I love you, she mouthed again. @Ark1002

    If you want to make friends, I recommend heading down to the Alleyverse subforum. Also if you like RPing; we never cease doing that. But, if you do, do not join the DA. If anybody gives you a cookie, search it for spikes before eating it.

    "You ruined my nice cloak," Tena accused Anthony as she ducked the mistcloak, then slammed into Ani's knees forcefully while Slicking his feet, hopefully making him drop so she could use the same move she'd incapacitated him with earlier. @Ark1002

    Tena dodged out of the way of Ani's branch by tapping a little steel, Awakening her cloak with the command, "Grab things." The strands all immediately whipped around Ani's weapon and arms, so Tena unbuckled the clasp on the mistcloak, letting it wrap around Ani while she ducked around the man to slice at his back from behind. @Ark1002

    "I'm taking that as a yes," Tena said with a grin. She settled into a relaxed half-crouch, summoning her spren as a staff in her hands, then remembered what had happened to Ani and grabbed twin knives from holsters on her thighs, her spren dissipating into mist. She waited for Ani to take the first move with a mocking grin on her face. @Ark1002

    Tena saw two expressions cross Ani's face; confusion and nothing. She wondered what those two meant in conjunction, then wondered at her own wordiness. She shook her head to rid it of whatever had been in it a moment before, then Slicked her feet and moonwalked backward, tapping steel to give her more speed. She dropped a coin, Steelpushing against it after unSlicking her feet and launching herself into the air, barely cresting the top branches of the tree that had been behind her and breaking out into the light of the day. She breathed three breaths of cool, light air as she seemed to hang in the air, then fell back into the forest, her back hitting a few small branches. In a firm voice, she Awakened her cloak. "Hold things." Immediately, the strands shot out around her, wrapping themselves around branches and bows until she hung in the air about twenty feet above the ground. Frowning at several strands that had grabbed her arms, Tena said, "Your Breath to mine." She fell, landing on the packed-dirt ground in a crouch, then falling onto her backside laughing. "I've haven't had this much fun since Melkor sung with Ea," she joked loudly, then stood up and brushed herself off. Stormlight healed the bruises on her feet as she walked over to Ani. "Want to spar?" she asked him. @Ark1002

    Ani didn't look like himself. Far too cheerful... and kind of handsome. Uh... where did that come from? she thought, then snapped back into focus. "I probably have a Tia card to there somewhere in my pack," Tena said, reaching down and grabbed one of the straps of the pack, then sat back down next to Ani and dug through it, eventually finding the desired card. She stood back up and slung her pack over her shoulder, then grabbed Ani by the arm and hauled him to his feet. "Okay, now works," Tena said, still holding on to Ani. She tapped her Tia card with her other hand, and teleported both of them into the middle of a forest. "Wow," she said to Ani, "I'd forgotten how beautiful it is here." She looked around at the sun-dappled trees and smiled, then took her mistcloak out of her pack. She put it on, twirling a little in girlish joy, then gave the pack to Ani. @Ark1002

    Tena shook herself awake about ten or so minutes after she'd lain down. She steadied herself with a hand on the floor as she nearly fell off the couch, then yawned and sat up. "Don't know why..." she mumbled to Ani, "I'm so tired. All I did today was save your life, which was kind of stressful in and of itself, but still. It was probably that Steelrunning burst." She stretched her arms above her head with a grimace. "Actually, I'm probably just getting lazy. Need to work out more. Oh, yeah, speaking of which..." she grinned at Ani. "I'm probably going to go to the forest outside of town real soon. Wanna come?" @Ark1002

    Yeah... even discounting pantheons, Tolkien still has Ungoliant, Ancalagon, Smaug, etc. KRs might be fast, but they can be burned to ashes by a dragon's fire. Also, Sanderson has three experienced Windrunners (Kaladin, Jezrien, and that one guy from Dalinar's vision), while Tolkien has, well, at least five enormous dragons. Also, dragons can curse people. Remember that one guy who got cursed by a dragon he'd slain, then ended up being haunted by that curse for the rest of his miserable life, eventually dying alone after betraying his people? One not-all-that-powerful dragon did that. Also, yup, Galadriel. She can read minds. Boom. Just won the war. You can't lose a war if you know what your enemy is going to do.

    So, I’ve got another load of iPad memes. Several are Alleyverse, some are autocorrect, some are just weird. Alleyverse stuff: So, yeah. My iPad continues to do whatever it pleases.

    Tena finished eating another slice of pizza, then curled up, closing her eyes. “Y’know,” she noted to Ani without looking at him, “you’re pretty sweet. Nice, too. Don’t know why that surprised me; I didn’t know you before you started spiking yourself and stuff. You’re sweet,” she repeated. “Way sweeter than Mace. Weird thing, that.” She set her head on one of the pillows at the end of the couch, and wriggled, trying to get comfortable. “Don’t burn my house down,” she told Ani, “or I’ll get mad or something. G’night.” It wasn’t night, but Tena was tired and didn’t care. She fell asleep. @Ark1002

    “Yes,” Tena said shortly, handing him the last of the tacos on the plate, then standing up and walking back to her refrigerator. She looked through it for a moment, then sighed and took her last resort: the freezer. “I’d make you something decent,” Tena noted to Ani as she squatted down to open the door of the freezer, “But I haven’t gone to the grocery store lately. Sorry.” She brought out a frozen pizza out of the freezer, immediately putting it in her oven and setting the temp, then going to sit down next to Ani. Gods, I’m tired, was her last thought before falling asleep. She awoke twenty minutes later to a beeping from her oven. “Oh, shut up,” she told it without opening her eyes, then opened them and noticed she had been resting her head on Ani’s shoulder. Tena stood up briskly, a weird, unrecognizable feeling welling up in her, and walked over to the oven, turning it off and getting out the pizza. She was rather ravenous, and waited impatiently for the food to cool down enough. When it was done, she picked it up and set it on the coffee table, then sat down again next to Ani and grinned at him. “Bet you weren’t expecting me to play the accommodating housewife, were you? Turns out, I’m not married, so I’m not a housewife!” She picked up a slice of the still-sizzling pizza and shoved it in her mouth. @Ark1002

    “Nobody, really,” Tena said with a half-grin. “I met you, oh, seventeen or eighteen years ago on another planet. My name is Tena.” She paused. “I might be considered your friend. Which is weird, ‘cause of... how you were before. Doesn’t matter anymore.” @Ark1002

    Tena strode over to her refrigerator and opened it, digging through ranks of somewhat-expired items until she found what she was looking for: a plastic wrap-covered plate with three tacos on it. She brought this out, slowly since she didn’t want to knock anything else over, and set it on the counter next to the fridge, then closed the door. She took the plastic wrap off the plate, chucked it into the nearby Soulcasting-bin, then opened the microwave and put the plate in there, closing the microwave after setting a countdown of two minutes. She waited those two minutes in front of her stove, glaring at one of the burners, then looked up sharply when the microwave made a high-pitched noise. She opened the door and brought out the tacos, wincing at the heat from the plate, then closed the microwave again and walked over to sit next to Ani. She offered him a taco, one that wasn’t covered in ghost sauce, then began eating another. @Ark1002

    "Okay, I'll take you to my house," Tena replied, smiling at his compliment and grabbing her much-used Tia card out of her pocket and tapping it, teleporting her and Ani to her house. She stumbled him a few steps forward, into the house, and dropped him on the couch, taking a moment to breathe in the fresh, cool air. "By the Sisters, I love my house," Tena said, mostly to herself, glancing fondly at the various plants scattered about on shelves. Then she looked back at Ani and asked, "You like tacos?" @Ark1002

    "Heya, there, Ani," Tena said nervously, walking briskly after her charge and helping Hellbe-- no, Ani, keep on his feet. "Any specific place you want to go? I don't really have anything else to do, so I'll take you there."

    "Oh no," Tena said sadly. "I'm sorry. I'm sorry. Don't try to get revenge on Harmony for that. It wasn't his fault, Ruin killed your wife, and you are still a father. This place, is... um. Hopefully your memories'll come back soon. And I'm not going to tell you why it's burning." She said that last sentence quietly.

    "Spikes of essence, I can only assume," Tena said flippantly. Then she winced. "Actually, I have no idea, sorry. Say, you were... uh... different before you tried to commit suicide. You think your personality'll mosey on back?" @Ark1002

    "Oh great gods," Tena muttered. "Ani? Was one of those an Identity spike? I'm assuming yes." She felt better now; she'd managed to save someone by some miracle. "Your name is Anthony Nightshade, okay? Remember that. I call you Ani." @Ark1002

    "No," Tena breathed. "No..." She forced as much Progression as she could into Anthony, a few tears dripping down her face. She tried to keep calm, but by the Sisters themselves, she would not let anyone else die. Growling, she realized her heartbeat had risen to a nearly dangerous level, and she tried to stop it from rising further. She was a gorram Edgedancer, she could gorram well save one idiot. "Anthony," she said slowly, "stay with me. Please. Don't die. Gods, don't die." Then... his heartbeat. It was back. She could feel it through her knees. Realizing that sitting on him probably wouldn't do him any favors, she edged off his chest and continued using up all her stormlight to heal the majority wounds. He was going to survive; he had to. @Ark1002

    Tena saw Hellbent. She watched for a moment, and then, without thinking at all, Compounded steel and ran superhumanly fast, grabbing Hellbent by the wrist and digging her thumb nail into one of the arteries, then Slicking his feet. She punched him in the shoulder with her other hand, sending him off his feet and onto his back. She kneeled on his chest-- being as small and heavy as she was had its advantages-- and pushed down on both of his shoulder with her hands. She found herself growling, "I won't let this happen again, I won't." Then she stopped herself, and told him, "I'm an Edgedancer, so I'm saving everyone you haven't killed yet, and I'm saving you. Is that clear?"

    First of Midnight would be mine. You can imagine my mother’s anger that having to birth a child in the middle of the night. Actually, she probably didn’t care at that point.
