According to Coppermind What this "strain" is I have no idea. Maybe it's the force of the stormlight leaving the gemstone?

So I know Nightblood technically doesn't have a gender, but people, including Vasher have always referred to it as a "he." But then I noticed this one line on page 1140 of Oathbringer. This is from Lift's perspective. I wonder why Lift would think of Nightblood as a girl, while Vasher would think of it as a boy? Also, small question. Brandon has said Nightblood is different from shardblade on that Nightblood destroys thing on all 3 realms. If so, then how do shardblades kill things?

These stories are great! I love the idea of Neville and Luna working together (though I dont personally ship them) This is one I saw on Instagram a while back Harry: Harry transforms Grimmauld Place into an orphanage magical kids, especially those from abused families, so that no one would have to suffer what he and Sirius suffered. Edit: And he becomes the Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher instead of an Auror.

My cousin and I were wondering what our odds were in becoming Radiants if we magically teleported to Roshar. That got me to wondering how many Radiants there were at its peak, which is presumably right before the Recreance. During Dalinar's Recreance vision, we see (I think 300) Radiants give up their Shards. Also the were only some of the Radiants from the Stonewards and Windrunners. Meaning there's still the rest of those 2 Orders and the other 8 Orders. Also Jasnah told Shallan at the beginning of WoR that there much more Radiants that didn't have Shards. So how many Radiants were there during the height of its peak?

Characters you didn't care for at first but now love?
Gray to replied to Xero stormz's topic in Cosmere Discussion
I think I'm in the minority when I say Kaladin. I didn't care for him in Way of Kings until he decided to help the bridgemen. The only reason I kept reading the book because I wanted to see how Shallan arc would go. Also Elhokar Oathbringer spoiler -
So we all know Renarin was the one who was writing the dates for the upcoming Everstorm, but how did he get in the rooms without anyone noticing? Kaladin was sure that he didn't see anyone enter, but Renarin still got in. My guess is that he used Illumination to make himself invisible, but what do you guys think?

1. I'm pretty sure it broke during the fight between the dad and Balat (I think that's the right brother) during her flashback. Blasts sword swing missed and he hit Lin's leg, and there are some sparks and a weird sound of metal hitting metal. After he's dead they search him and find the soulcaster in his pocket. 2. I dont know 3. Pretty sure he was working with the Skybreakers 4. Either from the Skybreakers or whoever he killed for the Blade also had some Plate 5. I think it's because he paid off most of not all of the people who could have known about the attack. Or the other people were just too far away to see it

I also thought he could be a radiant but I assumed he was an edgedancer and he used Abrasion to get out of the cuffs

Ok that makes sense. Thanks everyone

So I've heard people talk about how the first chapter of either Hero of Ages or Way of Kings (can't remember which) foreshadowed the ending of the book. But I've reread the first chapter of both of those books and I can't find anything like that. Am I really oblivious or is that just not true?

Well I'm INFP, aka the Mediator so I know the most about that. So these quotes from the 16 personalities website for INFPs make me the INFP represents either Honor or Preservation. I'm leaning a little more towards Honor. They follow their principles, do things because they are right and not because it's good for them, and can get so obsessed with their goal that they can go into a hermit mode.

Are you a zinc misting? Cause you're a Riot! Are you a Highstorm? Cause I'm blown away. You must be a Returned cause you're absolutely Divine. Not even 4 millennia in Damnation could break us. I want your boots.

You Know You're a Sanderfan When...
Gray to replied to Shardbearer's topic in General Brandon Discussion
You know you're a Sanderfan when the only reason you bother to learn chemistry and the laws of physics is to better understand stuff in the Cosmere -
According to Coppermind: And since Atium is the same thing but for Ruin. I think the same thing would happen. However, maybe this is only the case because Leras was dying. As for the steel sight, I doubt the Lord Ruler had because I think only people who had spikes smashed through their eyes got it.

Intelligent conversation about an intelligent cosmere

Definitely TLR. He's just way too good at using allomancy and feruchemy together and compounding. As for my tin foil hat theory, I loled that one theory someone mentioned that Dalinar is Connecting to Honor, Cultivation, and Odium, and that Unity is the combination of pieces of those 3 shards combined into one shard. And I think it would be cool if that was his 5th oath. "I will unite the gods" or something -
[OB] Willshapers have Cognitive Cohesion
Gray to replied to MountainKing's topic in Stormlight Archive
Cool idea, but what could they do with this. Maybe it could "glue" peoples minds together and make them think similarly? -

Granted, but everytime you do this, you are struck with an incomprehensible stutter for the next 10 minutes. I wish to be able to speak clearly and not have my stutter. -
It would make a lot of sense if there was a gemheart in the core of the planet that Adonalsium put there and infused it with so much stormlight that it created life... Ok maybe it doesn't make sense but it sounds cool.

Sorry I can't remember whose theory this was, but I read somewhere that someone realized all the heralds were acting against their most notable traits. For example, Shalash, known for creativity is destroying art. Nale, Herald of Law, takes the law into his own hands. And Ishar, known for oaths and bonds, is responsible for a civil war in Tukar, I think. And according to Coppermind: To me, the opposite of a selfless person, who's willing to give up their life for the cause they're fighting for, is someone who would betray everyone and go to the darkside. Just to be clear, I'd hate for this to actually happen, and I'd probably cry if it did, but @goody153 and @earthexile points kinda persuaded me. :'(

Solution: Use Hemalurgy to steal luscious, thick hair from somebody. Wait this just gave me an idea. Marsh has a lot of spikes right? And we don't really know what a lot of them do. What if Marsh really loves his bald look, but doesn't want to go through all the hassle of shaving, so he just Hemalurgically stole natural baldness from someone?

Has anyone had any crazy Cosmere related dreams? One time I dreamt that I had gathered all the Radiants we know about to fight Thanos. We were standing in this huge castle, and outside Thanos was floating and staring at us. He said, "This does put a smile on my face." The he put on his Infinity Gauntlet, pulled out freaking Nightblood, and crashed through the castle walls to kill us all. Then everything went black, and I heard Brandon's voice in the distance: "See! This is why I can't give Thanos Nightblood! He always kills everyone!" Then he rewinded time and as Thanos burst through the walls, Lift slipped in and stole Nightblood from him. Then we all ganged up on him, and he never stood a chance.

[OB] Do you think Jasnah likes Kaladin?
Gray to replied to The Night Watcher's topic in Stormlight Archive
I think they don't like each other because they're Ideals clash. We know Kaladins Ideals are all about protection and saving as many people as possible. We don't know what Jasnahs Ideals are but based off her POVs, I think its something like doing whatever is necessary in order to do what's right. I mean she was ready to kill Renarin at the end. And she suggested killing all the parshmen which was totally against Kaladins Ideals. -

I've always thought that feruchemy would be the best just for everyday stuff. I mean you can control your body temperature so you don't have to wear clothes according to the weather, you can heal so you don't have to worry about getting hurt, Fortune makes you a gambling king, and mental speed is just awesome.
