  1. Poll. Not pole. Hey Itiah, would it be all right if you didn't swear please? Funny though.
  2. Happy Birthday @Dr. Dapper @Life&Death @Silverblade5!!!!!!!!!!!
  3. While Fang was spitting out the gauntlet, Kane had already Lashed himself in the opposite direction, some 20 meters away. "Hi!" he said casually as Fang attempted to slash at where Kane would be--but Kane wasn't exactly inexperienced in combat. Then he spammed the trigger on his rifle, aiming at Fang.
  4. Kane shifted his fist aside to avoid the Shardtooth and began pouring Lashings into Fang's body, attempting to send Fang flying towards the wall. He yanked his fist out of the gauntlet, leaving it in Fang's mouth while setting it to self-destruct, using Full Lashings to seal it in and grew an Amberite gauntlet.
  5. Sorry, I actually meant end of Era 2.
  6. You'll see why at the end of Era 3.
  7. I partially disagree with this, based on conditionality. (yes, I know that isn't a word. Humor me.) Kane didn't give himself the spike. Part of his development is that he was basically a Hemalurgic experiment and the spike was forced into him by someone else.
  8. When you realize people who joined after you have more posts than you...
  9. I want Kane to be in the final battle.
  10. We need to finish up some duels first for the sake of continuity.
  11. Era ends the moment Voidus is freed.
  12. Omin is based off of the Aon for love... Hmm...
  13. A man known only as the Silent Seeker entered. He scanned the room, checking for Investiture. Then, he saw Hellbent. That man disrupted the duel for death, I believe. He strode up to him and knelt before him. "I have been searching for you for the longest time."
  14. Omin is technically not a member... I mean, I figured having an Elantrian NPC would be OP, so he's just occasionally hired by the Sentinels to do stuff like that armor.
  15. Right. I mean that other people that aren't DA use it.
  16. The Sentinels are a military group dedicated to maintaining order in the Alleyverse. However, recent events have led me to the conclusion that reform is necessary. Originally, it was a military-only group, but now, we are expanding it. Where a sole tower once stood, a vast keep now sits. Where empty space in the Cognitive Realm used to be, a city and base of operations now occupies the space. The military philosophy is now important, but not the only thing that factors into the guild. I also am going to be working with my characters quite a bit in preparation for Era 3, but for now, if you have any questions, ask me on this thread. My Sentinel characters(only Kane, Zaren, and Orren are considered primary characters) Kane. Zaren, son of Kane, Mistborn, second-in-command of the guild. Davad Orren, Elsecaller, Elite Sentinel, recruiter. Tikor Vedev, scout, spy, Awakener. Cayza, a young woman who is Zaren's love interest, a Sentinel with no Investiture. Sudo Kion, Lai MikRu, and Omin, three Selish men that specialize in the arts ChayShan, Forgery, and AonDor respectively. I'm going to be hopping around threads, developing Zaren and Orren, though not Kane because he is currently preoccupied. Warning: There will be explosions.
  17. The premise of weakening characters is interesting, and in regards to steel compounding, we have many of those and they are all overpowered. We do need to set a limit, because characters like Hellbent and Mac are so ridiculously broken that fighting them basically requires massive armies of powerful soldiers, hyperadvanced technology, and powerful battle magic, and even then, it's still a lost cause. Some RPers are coming in with broken characters and it upends the entire system, meaning the likes of Lusk and Araha, well developed, realistic characters, stand no chance. This may be a freeform roleplay, but our form is too free, too many allowances are being made. I think the best way to solve this issue would be to make characters realistic. So first of all, Knights Radiant are too easy to become. It's a common tactic for "developing" characters, yet it is very much implausible. The way we're making it out, all of the characters are on the verge of insanity, and the slightest conflict can trigger Radianthood. Second, Compounders are way too common in this RP. I mean, Mistings are rare, Ferrings are rarer, Twinborn are even rarer, and Compounders are nearly impossible. Yet we have 8 Steel Compounders. When I first made my character, I specifically went through all of the types of Compounders and figured that if I couldn't make it realistic, I could at least make it not completely broken. Third, Hemalurgy is usually not a viable solution. There are tons of bindpoints in the human body, and nobody knows them all. So it's unlikely that your Hemalurgic spike would actually exist viably. Basically, what I'm saying is that some characters just aren't statistically possible. I mean, if you think it's improbable, think about how improbable it is that these characters all exist simultaneously. So, let's fix it.
