Imagine the flight that could be achieved by a Crasher (Wax) /Windrunner combo

Perhaps also the helm or knees, particularly if attacking from behind

Let's talk about spren politics
Kramerfarve replied to The Night Watcher's topic in Stormlight Archive
People believe them to be willshaper spren, as if you read between the lines Ico talks about a daughter who ran off to chase stupid dreams, and venli’s spren (timbre) matches her description somewhat -
Assuming that is how oathgate spren function, if you prevent the transfer to the cognitive for an Oathgate, it would create a decent trap to prevent someone from going somewhere instead of leaving somewhere. You would be transferred to the spiritual from one gate, be pulled back to the cognitive by the one at your destination, and then stopped because you weren’t transferred back to the physical. I don’t know what would happen if you tried to start an oathgate that had a corrupted cognitive, but I’d think nothing would happen, and you’d just stay there.

We also have a WOB saying there has been an on screen kandra so that is probably what Brandon is referring to when he says we have seen on screen hemalurgy in stormlight.

What was your disappointment in this series?
Kramerfarve replied to Italik's topic in Stormlight Archive
Ahh I don’t know, just didn’t catch the majesty or mystique in the kinda blockish vague people and generic mountain ranges. Definitely just a personal taste thing, and to each their own, right? -

Kramerfarve replied to Italik's topic in Stormlight Archive
May seem a little stupid but I have always been more disappointed in the cover art than anything in the books themselves. Just can’t get it to look right with how I picture things in my head. -
The knights most definitely would have noticed this. The world around them is surrounded in an almost permanent crust of crem. If crem indeed had investiture of any quantity, radiants would have noticed that as they walk their stores fill ever so slightly. Also, Larkins would be having a grand old time sucking investiture out of the ground, they survive on investiture, so they would have no reason not to be continually feeding.
-
I’m sorry guy, but I’m going to believe what the spren say, as they actually live in the cognitive realm. I’m sure that they after millennia of civilization would have figured out which perpendicularity was whose. Also, trust a worldhopper, they typically know what’s going on someplace before they travel there. We cannot judge perpendicularities by Urithiru because of the major difference in time between Urithiru’s founding and modern Roshar. We do not know how Honor’s perpendicularity behaved before his shattering and it could very well have been best accessed from the tower.

Dalinar goes through a list of empires that over expanded and crumbled. What if the leader of each had received the “unite them” visions

Revived shardblades become what exactly?
Kramerfarve replied to beantheboy12's topic in Stormlight Archive
Yeah maybe he has a blade similar to Azure/Vivenna’s that can speak, but won’t be able to change form until the third, kinda vice versa to the ordinary radiants. -
It was actually more deeply, with softer tones becoming harder and darker while he wielded nightblood. Probably has something to do with corrupted breaths.
-
On re-read I paid attention specifically to renarin. Every passing comment is foreshadowing, and its great.
-
This is the precise reason why I believe it cannot be sprenblades. The back blurb has been confirmed to have been written by a sleepless, who are known to be at the very pinnacle of information gathering. They surely would have known that sprenblades still exist and are being used by every generation of skybreakers. Further just because “it was at the beginning” does not mean it couldn’t be something we’ve never seen before (ala dawnshards) as we’ve seen this type of twist before, particularly in another prophecy-esque way (See Mistborn Era 1).
-
Make the Lord Ruler less petty. Mistborn would have to be completely rewritten.

I mean bloodsealing must come pretty close right? If not there, there could be workaround potential through unknown commands on Nalthis. Awakening is veeerry broad in scope/potential.
-
Could you link WOB I don’t think I’ve seen that one. Pretty interesting theory.

Thanks, I was wondering what I had forgotten about.

I’d have to disagree fundamentally with this take as Honor would not have built that caveat into the blades to be wielded by his top generals, and the blades are not hacks, but the original system that the spren based their orders on, but that’s beside the point because if you are unable to combine the swords, I don’t think you would even be able to use all of the surges at once because I’m pretty sure you can only use the surges of a blade you’re carrying at that moment ie it can’t be dismissed, but I may be misremembering that.

oathbringer spoilers What are the Extent of Bondsmith Powers?
Kramerfarve replied to IGetLIFTed's topic in Stormlight Archive
Yes, because Honor died and invested the Stormfather with his cognitive shadow. This changes the Stormfather fundamentally as a spren both from what he was before and what he is in comparison to the other Bond smith spren.- 12 replies

Those glowing giants no one seems to be talking about
Kramerfarve replied to BrightnessSamantha's topic in Stormlight Archive
I like this idea for the second thing kal saw in the storms walking with a storm strider, the alien and sleek one? And remembering that spren are only partial manifestations in the physical realm, could stormstriders have another more true form?- 43 replies

Sin16 Has the Nightwatcher ever changed anyone's eye color? Brandon Sanderson Yes, she has. Good question. Skyward Pre-Release AMA (Oct. 31, 2018) Anyone think this sounds suspiciously like Hesina/Asuedan? Theories abound about Kal recognizing Asuedan’s song, and Hesina has always acted more like a lighteyes than most. It has even been confirmed that Kal has lighteyed members of his family tree. Go nuts.

Ahhh sorry, returned capitalized when I did not want it to, just meant that Cultivation was already in the process of giving Dalinar his memories back, and those came in visions/dreams that behaved very similarly
