Oh no, I'm sorry I've felt that way several times, but not with everyone. Which character out of all yours did you think failed the least?

Who are your favorite characters among the roleplays of the 17th Shard? Who’s your favorite to write? Who’s your favorite of someone else’s? Who’s your favorite in each RP you’re in? Least favorite character (if you mention someone else’s for this, be sure to only use valid criticism - if any at all - and be respectful)? Characters who are fun to write, characters who are challenging to write, character concepts you’re super proud of, characters who flopped from the beginning who you want to hide away until everyone forgets you wrote that crem ...discuss it all here. Have debates about characters’ morality/views, powers, etc. Ask for help in building a character profile. Talk with people about how to best write someone with a mental disorder, a certain sexuality or gender, or a behavior/personality type, whether you have firsthand advice or are seeking help. Also relationships, those complicated things between two or more characters. Talk about them too. Basically, you can do all the character things here, for any Shard RP you want (or even non-Shard RPs). If you feel it’s warranted, add spoiler tags for major events in a roleplay, if they affect what you’re talking about. HAVE FUN, ROLEPLAYERS!

You’re welcome. Just because something sounds cool doesn’t mean you should do it - it should work for the character and world. For example, I could write a cool fight scene, but if the characters being written wouldn’t have fought it or shouldn’t have had the ability to, it doesn’t make sense. Someone can be a pacifist and still be completely OP. For the most part, Voidus is a pacifist. Will he fight or murder you randomly (outside of an experiment)? No. Is he still broken? Yes.

1. Plausible is the spelling 2. I don’t think powers can transfer even if you share a body. The spren is bonded to your soul; that’s where it slipped through the cracks. Two souls means the other shouldn’t have access to the spren, unless I’m missing something, which I could be. 3. Why does he need to bond a Splinter of Preservation? Also, how would that make him a Radiant? 4. I’m pretty sure the point cost of creating, then bonding, a whole new Bondsmith spren would be very high, if the mods let it happen at all. If they do, point cost doesn’t necessarily mean you can’t RP it, but it makes it more unlikely. 5. Alleystorms happen when it’s convenient, mostly. When the plot calls for it. IC, maybe every week? I honestly don’t know.

I have, on occasion, had interesting ideas for threads centered around discussion of preexisting roleplays on the Shard. However, with the exception of RP subforums (for example, the Alleyverse has many threads that are completely out-of-character and meant for other purposes), the only threads I’ve ever seen on the roleplaying forum are RPs themselves, occasional separate threads for planning those RPs, or threads that exist to bring people into PM-based RPs. I have not seen threads intended to count for all roleplays on the Shard. (For just one example, a Favorite Character thread, where people could talk about characters from any RP on the site.) I think there could be some cool applications of that type of topic, however. So I ask, would it be all right for me or others to create threads along those lines in the RP subforum, or would that not be the right place to put them? I can’t think of anywhere else they would belong. Thank you!
