  1. "That would be Transportation. Teleporting, basically. I freaked out, that's my bad." She grimaced at Lissa in apology, though the girl was still talking to Shana. "As for what you can do - what does the spren you're seeing look like? Could I see them or are they invisible?"
  2. @Silva It's okay to not be perfect!! That's something I've struggled with as well, but there're always other classes to take to make up the credit or other assignments to do. Failing a physics class is not a measure of your worth as a human being, and it's okay to try your hardest and not get As or 100%s. If you make it through the class, that's a win. (Sorry I haven't talked to you much lately, have I!)
  3. "Oh! I'm Cassie." She grinned at him and sank her hand into the wall, pulling out a smushed handful of wall plaster, then shoved it back in with a small wince. Bad idea. We'll have to repaint. "And yup, actual magic."
  4. Welcome to the Shard, Hoid's younger brother!

  7. When you realize that respelling Krispy Kreme as Crispy Crem makes it sound like an unhealthy fast-food place on Roshar. ...and you kinda wanna eat there.
  8. It's just Pattern, in case anyone doesn't want to translate it themselves.

  10. I like all three of these last ones, but just CONSIDER a Cryptic named Dragon Curve, that's fantastic. Made all the better by the fact that most Rosharans don't know what dragons are. Come to think of it, theirs might be called something else...I'd have to look into where that name came from, but perhaps Greatshell Curve? (I keep typoing this as Dragon Curse...) Sometimes I forget not everyone makes and reads about RP characters and other OCs all the time! I've seen most people go after mathematical names for their Cryptics, way fewer artsy. I can only remember writing two myself, one called Infinity, Fin for short, and the other Interval, Val for short. (I like nicknames way too much.) If I was naming one of my own, it'd depend on personality and alignment of gender, but personally Cantor, Rhombicuboctahedron (Rhombi), Isometry, Kite, Matrix, Acrylic, and Matte are high up there as options.
  11. Marie smirked at him. "Don't care if you take credit, don't care about your face, doesn't matter how I'm doing, and thank you."
  12. More like Rysn has some serious dough, amiright
  13. Congrats and thank you for being a cool friend! I loved the memes and rap battle - you can hear the mic sword drop at the end
  14. When your mother says "we're late!" and you think I know, Grandpa Smedry.
  15. "I did, actually," Marie said coolly. "Took out three of them for you all. Well -" she barked a laugh - "for myself, mostly, and it happened to keep the rest of you alive." She stared at the newest man, letting him get a long look at the blindfold, which he'd noted as being suspicious.
  16. Approved. And no worries, you did it right. To be perfectly frank, I don't really understand that part either I mostly let the mods who do understand it take care of that part. Welcome, both of you! (I have no idea what the page lines are either and I've been here years, haha) Edit: But I can get rid of them for you in the source code, apparently!
  17. "Yeah, sure. We've got beds if you need one, food and stuff if you're heading back out again. And we can tell you about what's going on and how to use your powers, of course." She smiled at him, waving to the kitchen, then a side room. "We're what's known as Radiants; basically we bond with spren like your Silk and then get magical powers. I know, very book-y."
