  1. Were they both the same? I was under the impression that Nalizar was something different from a Forgotten. It's been a while, may be time for another reread.
  2. Interesting catch. Just to clear something up, are you saying that you think Threnody might have a "sorrow" shard?
  3. Good questions, and the answers should prove to be very interesting as we hear about them from WoB and future books.
  4. I'm pretty sure you couldn't Pull or Push something contained in aluminum, but that's an informed guess. No direct examples or WoB on this as far as I know.
  5. It's very likely you're right. There's a thread on this in the BoM spoiler board.
  6. Did anyone else notice a line in the prelude that parallels a line from TFE? Respond if you know what I'm talking about.
  7. Yes, but in order to "fly in" Wax would have had to burn metal within the perimeter (IE slow himself down before landing). The Spoiled Tomato only needed him to use Steel at the launch point, which is supposedly far enough away to avoid Seeker detection.
  8. Let me say this again. Vasher was trying to copy Shardblades when he made Nightblood. So there is no chance that Nightblood was already a Shardblade when he was awakened. And it would take way more than 1000 Breaths to awaken something as heavily invested as a Shardblade anyway.
  9. Brandon did indeed originally plan to have redshift in the bubbles, and Peter told him he'd microwave everyone that way. So Brandon had to figure out how to fix that in Realmatics. So, like with storing weight, there's something wonky going on in order to make it work.
  10. Bronze can only see active us of allomancy.
  11. Does that mean the Kandra don't know about Leras? That doesn't make much sense... Possibly a continuity error.
  12. Yeah I thought it was about the others waiting outside Seeker range while throwing Wayne past the perimeter.
  13. Brandon being LDS can probably only drink soda without caffeine.
  14. Please remember not to put BoM spoilers in any subforum other than the BoM one until Feb 9, even with spoiler tags.
  15. Tor has the answers. http://www.tor.com/2016/02/05/brandon-sanderson-answers-your-audible-live-chat-questions/
  16. I've started thinking about this recently. The Cosmere has humans, animals, and plant life that are very similar to what we have on Earth. Horses. Parrots. Other types of "chicken". Dogs. I used to think that this was sort of "handwavium". Obviously, the same species would not all evolve in another universe. But, it's easier to write and read a book if there are elements from the real world that we can relate to. Recently I started to wonder if something else was going on. What if the Spiritual Realm has archtypes for all these different species that all the creatures running around in the Cosmere are based on?
  17. So, Kelsier as a Cognitive Shadow can speak to people who are mad because their soul is cracked enough to let him into those cracks. It's amusing that he tried to recruit someone who was slightly insane for his plans, and it backfired on him. Warbreaker Spoilers Then, as a Vessel for Preservation, Kelsier lost this ability. I think the reason given in the book was that Preservation's power tried to shore up the cracks or something like that. Could this be a hint that only some of the magic systems don't actually require cracked souls?
  18. Obviously, Ishar came to Scadrial and built a big maze. The maze protects the Dawnshards, which is why no one on Roshar has been able to find them.
  19. Actually, I think she finished not only Wax's, but a few glasses of her own as well.
  20. I thought the reason was because Ruin and Preservation are not balanced. Life on Scadrial has more Preservation, so there's extra bit's of Ruin that leak of the Pits, creating Atium. Less of Preservation's power leaks out at that Pool, so Lerasium is rare. Isn't that the whole reason we've been wondering where the extra Ruin is and whether the Pits have reformed around Era 1.5?
  21. I take it that Excisors are some yet unknown object or being (to the readers and NoScadrians), which might be the key to anyone being able to tape a nicrosilmind...
  22. They were trying to copy Shardblades, which they had already seen. So no, it wasn't a Shardblade that they awakened.
  23. I think feruchemy for me too.
  24. I thought it was green and had a lemon or lime taste.
