  1. Several Months After the Events on Aimia Sephtis stood overlooking the Alleycity. The overlook held a few trees, and grass. The last time he had seen it, the Overlook had been barren and rocky. Sephtis had acquired new clothing from the journey from the isolated, guarded island of Aimia. He wore a cloak over his leather garb, adorned with several knives and Kunai. He wore a hood to keep people from noticing his face and his spike. In his journey he was referred to as One-Eye. In a very particular instance the One-Eyed Assassin. A small cremling sat on his shoulder. "Now we just wait until dark." The cremling clicked in response. The Cremiling was Twilight Sky, a Sleepless, an Aimian who helped him escape. "I wonder if anyone remembers me. I have been gone for some time." Sephtis settled under a tree to wait.
  2. Oi @Archer We need to add me a new Era 2 Character. I am playing both Aurell and Solace to explain something one being my absence.
  3. Chapter 2 The Companion Sahin didn’t know how long he had walked nor how far. What he did know was that he was being followed. Those odd little creatures would appear on large rocks or in the dead brush. The Sun was setting, and he didn’t like that. Sahin did not want to be stuck with the bug people in the dark all he had was a small curved dagger. He wasn’t sure if that was enough to kill one of them, or if the could be killed. “Alright. Come out! I know you are watching and following me.” He said. He frown, wondering if he had imagined being followed. Then a swarm of bugs burst from several cracks, and bushes. They surged together, building upon one another. The creatures solidified into a female figure. “You are really alive. Huh.” She said. “Why were you following me?” Sahin asked. “Well that was impolite.” came the reply. “Not even asking me my name.” He sighed. “Who are you? You obviously know who I am.” “I am Sukha Eyata.” She said. “Why were you following me?” Sahin repeated. It was Sukha’s turn to sigh. “I was sent to kill you. That is what we do to any non-native person who arrives on Aimia.” “Oh and how do you feel about that?” Sahin asked. "Eh, well most of us are too interested in what you plan to do next then kill you. Most of us are confident enough that you won't spoil the secrets we keep here even if you find them our. You are that type of person." Sahin nodded. "And you? Why are you here? What do you want?" "Perceptive, I shouldn't have expected less from the Great Mastermind." She said. "If I remember correctly people sought me out for three things. One, if they wanted somebody eliminated. Two, to join my forces. And three-" "Yes, I know." Sukha waved him to silence. "What I want is off this storming island. The Aimian Oathgate is in disrepair and doesn't function properly. I suspect that much of your famed power is gone, as well as many of your memories, and status in the world. I can help you get those back if you are willing to get me off this wretched planet and allow me to accompany you in what every you do next." Sahin raised an eyebrow. "Alright, it seems we have a deal." Chapter 3 Oathgate "The Oathgate is just up ahead. It will be guarded my my kin. They do not want it being activated as it could mean disastrous things." Sukha said. The building that contained the Oathgate over hung a cliff. The building question leaned at a slope, angling downward into the chasm. Sahin raised an eyebrow. "It the building even safe? It looks like it could fall into the chasm at any moment." "Some places inside are. The spren inside are minorly damaged. The damage prohibits it from staying open long. Though we only opened it for a fraction of a second." "Nobody traveled anywhere?" "No, the other Oathgates were closed at the time and the transferring over to the Cognitive realm is prohibited. Come to think of it, you don't have a Shardblade do you? One that is alive." "A shardblade?" the word felt strange on his lips. "Er... no. I don't believe so." "Well, I guess we will have to kill the Siah Aimian who hold the blade." "Wouldn't that sever the bond?" Sahin said. "No he carries on of the newly created Honorblades, though the surges are custom build. Rather he picked the two out of the ten he wanted. Illumination and Cohesion." Suhka replied. "As I said they guard the place from being used. Shardblades are useful weapons." "You aren't wrong." As they drew closer to the Oathgate, Sahin noticed the dead vines covering most of it. It was a domed building supported by circular ring of pillars. Beyond that was a wall that supported the inner complex. Several guards surrounded the place. Several hundred perhaps a battalion. Soon several of them surrounded Sahin and Suhka. "I see you brought the Great Mastermind. The boss wants to see you." he said. "Great lead the way." Chapter 4 Meeting with Death The two Aimian guards led him into the innermost chamber. The room itself was tilted slightly but the Aimians had compensated with furniture that on a normal surface would have been lopsided but in the inner chamber of Oathgate were upright. A man sat with his legs up on the desk. He was heavily tattooed and bald. The man had a square face and strong jawline. "Doesn't that mess with your brain?" Sahin asked. The man sighed, setting down his reading material. "Solace, Solace. You never did introductions properly." Sahin itched his head. "What?" "Don't tell me you have forgotten." The man grinned. "Maybe I have. That doesn't matter. I am getting out of here. I have more pressing matters than you." Sahin said. "If you stand in my way you will not like how I leave you." The man laughed, picking up a wicked looking scythe. The handle itself was short, which was odd for the weapon in question. Everything made more sense when the man summoned a shardblade in his empty hand. "Scud." Sukha whispered. Sahin looked at his own weapon a short bladed knife if you could call it that. There was one vial of mysterious metal at his belt. He yanked it out of its holder, popped the cork out and downed the liquid. Power burst from him. Blue lines shot out from his chest connecting with metal studs with in the wall. The man picked strode towards them. "This here is what you would call a Death Scythe. Yes, I could use any weapon to kill you but it wouldn't be a permanent death. This however will destroy your spiritweb. Though it might very well sever your physical and spiritual aspects. In that case I would keep your spiritual DNA and keep it for other experimental procedures. Mainly Spiritual DNA splicing." Mraize paused before continuing. "Best case scenario for you, is that you become an empty shell, alive, but with no personality, etc. etc. Worst case scenario is that you are completely destroyed, physically, cognitively and spiritually. What I am aiming for is a way to send people to the Beyond immediately, rather than the whole Cognitive transition. Now as for the Scythe itself. You know that things that pack enough investiture are able to sever spiritual DNA. Well I have taken it a step further. If I insert a bomb onto your spiritual web through the spiritual realm, I am able to completely decimate your web. How I plant it is a trade secret. The bomb will keep kept for blackmail material. Now we being the procedure." "You sick pig! Experimenting on people who come here!" Sukha cried. "We must protect our secrets. there are some who would pull it out of a cognitive aspect. The beyond is the safest place for them." The man replied. Sahin snarled. He pulled on blue line right that went through the man. He pulled on it and was in turn pulled forward on an invisible line. The man swung his scythe. Sahin stopped burned using the momentum to slide under the blade. Sahin used the rest of the momentum to roll back to his feet. He stood back to back with his enemy. "You forget I am a master assassin." He said just before plunging the small knife into the brain of his opponent. The man collapsed and began to glow. Sahin put a foot on the back of his neck, pinning the man down until the glow faded and he died. "Lets go!" She grabbed the Shardblade and rushed to the center. Sahin picked up the scythe and flowed. Suhka over turned a table and rummaged through a drawer nearby. He pulled put a back. Inside was a decent amount of infused spheres. She stuck the Shard into the hole. She enabled the device. All went black. When he opened his eyes his surroundings were dark. A small sun seemingly harried by narrow clouds sat in the distance. Sukha pushed herself into a sitting position next to him. "Well we know know what happens when using a broken Oathgate. Its going to take months to get to our destination if not more. We have no food, water or anything else." "Thanks for the reminder." "Sukha. I want you to call me something different for now on. I have a new start or begin, at least somewhat. I want you to call me Sephtis. Just Sephtis." "Sure thing. In return you call me Twilight Sky" "Deal." Sahin-Sephtis- reached his hand out to help Sukha-Twilight now- to her feet.
  4. Yeah. the relationship between the two is Mutualistic.
  5. Yeah, well I wasn't using the internet at the time only word that came to mind. I honestly don't know the appropriate word either. Though I think I am settling with these categories. Manipulations, mental, enhancements for the One Power and the opposing force will be using Mimicry. Your guy's questions have gotten me thinking with was the point of this thread. I'll edit in what I come up with tomorrow. So stay tuned. Edit: It's Mutualism.
  6. Chapter 1 The Awakening Pain. That was the first sign that he was alive, well other than his breathing. His head hurt as if someone had hit him in the head with a particularly large hammer. Though on second thought that would have been impossible as his skull would have been cracked and- time to move on. He opened his eye and immediately regretted the action. Sunlight made his eye hurt and his head ache more that it already did. He groaned and sat up. Who am I? he though. A name bubbled up into his mind. Sahin. That is who I am. No last name surfaced. He sighed. Apparently he didn't own a last name. Bother he would jsut have to come up with one on his own. Then something occurred to him, stopping all thoughts. He reached up and touched his face, specifically where his other eye would have been. Sahin instead touched a pointed metal spike. He reached to yank it out but reconsidered as a small inside voice spoke to him. That is your life line pal. it said. When doing so he noticed and odd symbol tattooed to the back of his palm. Three interlocking diamonds. Another memory stirred bringing up another word. Ghostbloods A voice interrupted his thoughts. "So your back?" The voice said. "Almighty help us all that you have returned. What fate has in store you I wonder." He looked to the speaker and noted his odd looking body which seemed to be make up of some odd insects. These bugs solidified into a man. "Was I really that bad?" Sahin asked. "You don't remember?" "My memory is a bit hazy at the moment." "That must be due to the Hemalurgy degrading process." The man muttered. "What?" Sahin puzzled. "Nothing, nothing. I am interested in what part you will play." The man burst into the insects he saw before. He opened his mouth to say something then closed it as he watched the creatures scuttle away. Disregarding the strange conversation with the bug man, Sahin turned his attention back to himself. He wore a tattered set of clothes and a matching ripped cloak. A broken mask lay in pieces not to far away. Must have been mine he deduced as he could only see one eye hole from the pieces before him. He wore a belt with little holders for glass vials. There were a few that were still full and unbroken. Though he did not unstop one to drink it. "Well," He said to himself. "Time to get off this wretched barren island." With that he started to walk with no particiular destination in mind. He just knew he he had to get off this forsaken island if he wanted to live. Little did he know, Sahin Vandre was really Solace First. A deadly assassin, a scheming mastermind, and evil to the core.
  7. Well I guess a bunch of things. I guess I need a list of powers. *Sigh* And I thought I had it figured out. Originally though that they would grant a part of the aspects of nature. Gravitation, Electromagnetism, strong and weak interactions. I just know that what powers are "essential" per se are teleportation, healing, body enhancements (superspeed, sight, strength, etc) and a few others that aren't surfacing in my brain as of yet. I also though of categorizing them as this as well. Mimicry, manipulations, mental, enhancements, personal, and Almighty (the last one for yah know god...). This are however supposed to merge into each other's category somewhat.
  8. I have developed an intricate magic system that first needs to be reviewed and questioned. I think I have worked the kinks out though there may be things that I understand and haven't voice in my notes that would be helpful to put in. So I ask that you ask questions about my system. I apologize before hand about the bullets and such, they are notes and are meant to be that way. Connectors Heart A beneficial symbiosis between user/host and parasite. Memories, emotions and experiences are required to access the One Power. (A food source.) The parasite (Collectors) allow current host to relive experiences, memories of deceased users as well as communicate with them Power is based upon Connections, past hosts, the more hosts a Collector has the more powerful the parasite becomes, allowing the Host more connections to the One Power Connections Acts as a conduit for the one power to flow through. A series of symbols unique to the host Physical touch is required (though not in all circumstances) to create a connection Connections require knowledge of the power being replicated or created (the science behind it.) Connection has three stages Influence- Little to no knowledge is required, requires the most concentration of the three. Control- Knowledge of the power is required, though the amount varies on the complexity, requires a moderate amount of concentration Mastery- Complete knowledge of the power is required, requires the least amount of concentration if any When concentration is broken the connection stops functioning as the conduit closes Connections are based or created on an understanding of the science behind the power. For example: Gaining increased ability to heal would require an understanding of speedily duplicating lost cells, etc... Description Colorless Octahedron before bond with tentacle-like on one vertical side Functions as a second heart as the tentacles line the bloodstream # of tentacles depends on the # of connections Color upon bonding parasite is based on dominant personality (Colors Red, Blue, Yellow) Brightness/Vibrancy of color is based on closeness of personality, temperament, goals, Etc... of parasite and host Hard like crystal
  9. Just after the destruction of the AlleyCity Solace attempted to causally walk through the Aonic gate but instead was forced to stumble backwards to avoid falling. That was right. Even though he bore the Ghostblood crest, little Aurell did not. The gates allowed those who bore the Ghostblood symbol entrance to the city. Those who did not were forbidden entrance. "Exception! Aurell Faine." Solace stated firmly. "Exception made." The voice stated from a small box. "It's good to be home." Solace said. He turned to look and the desert that surrounded the city and where it led up meeting the grass. Yes. It was indeed good to be home. Visitors are welcome! One must check in to visit inside the city and be accompanied by a squad of both Mistborn and Feruchemists. A person who is not a Ghostblood can stay one day. Exceptions are allowed but one must visit the council buildings to petition for a extra day or settle grievances. The Inner sanctum is off limits to all but Council members. Visitors in the present day FangBlade- @AxeliustheGreat Ghostblood residency is available to all Ghostbloods. please state that you are living her to have residency. Current residents @Mraize-Solace and Aurell City Statistics
  10. Asher-Aurell's cryptic, who acted as her decoy-wandered around the waystop. He wanted to get a feel for the place. In case anything happened. He was also looking for Yzabet or Pallas. Aurell, his mistress, was close though he could not see her or so he hoped. She fueled the weaving. Then interestingly enough it broke apart, and he was left hovering in the air. he instinctively dropped to the ground and zipped under the table. "What was that for?" He hummed quietly, hoping that she could hear. "There was no one watching. Should there have been someone they will be dealt with. You will be more inconspicuous if the people here think you are searching for a bond."
  11. Granted but as comprehension comes you are unable to properly communicate such revelations to anyone else in addition your comprehensions are forgotten as soon as they come to mind. I wish to be able to convert air-when I want-directly into stormlight.
  12. Aurell surveyed the Waystop through the scope of her rifle. She was invisible to the naked eye, or rather she blended in to the natural surroundings with her lightweaving. Asher, her spren, acted as her decoy. A drenched, version of herself stood not far off, also surveying the house through a set of binoculars. Asher walked the remaining pathway to the door of the Waystop. Aurell followed a short distance away, to animate sounds with her stormlight that Asher could not do himself. In one hand she held a letter addressed to Pallas from the Ghostbloods, in the second was a tranq dart for Yzabet. Her mission was to persuade the boy to visit the Alleyway to learn the truth about his father, Rhazien Montegue's, legacy. Aurell had specific instructions to leave the boy unharmed but currious enough to travel with her to the Alleycity. Aurell could do whatever with Yzabet. She planned to have Yzabet dumped in a far corner of the Cosmere with out a Perpendicularity and no way home. That was at least until the boy, Pallus, made a decision. She emulated the sound of the door being knocked upon.
  13. Time: Year fifteen of the sixteen year peace Location: Somewhere... Aurell Faine breathed in. Stromlight enveloping her. She faded from the natural view. To the normal average person she would appear like the surrounding foliage. Her decoy, off to her left crouched in the bush. Solace First, her mentor, or so he called himself, sat eye closed upon the only rock in the near vicinity. She stealthily closed in on him, shardblade already summoned. Once she was close enough she struck with a flurry of blows, using her decoy-which held a sniper rifle- to fire a shot first, in hopes to distract Solace. It didnt work. She ended up on the ground, illusion gone. "When you live as long as I do you learn things. Things you can not comprend." Solace said. "Pro tip, never wear metal." That is right, Aurell had forgotten that he could see metal with his spike. Though she made sure she wasn't wearing any metal. Solace had seen the mineral metal in her body. Part two of her plan. A whitespine jumped from the brush gouging her with it's claws. She dropped, stormlight extinguished, she cried out when she hit the ground. Solace killed the beast with a coin to the back of its snarling throat. This two was a decoy. She had soulcast the illusion to give it weight. Solace knelt down to the ground beside her. "Are you okay?" He asked concerned. Then she struck, her hand shot out yanking the spike from his face. Solace First dropped immediately. SHe stood. "I finally won! Take that old man!" Aurell said. Then she noticed that Solace wasn't moving. "Dad?" She asked hesitantly. She dropped beside him, checking for a pulse. There was none. Solace First was dead. Aurell didn't know how long she cried for. Mercenaries don't cry. Solace's voice whispered in the back of her head. Stand up, be brave, you can't weep for fallen allies or foes slaughtered. You are Aurell Rhazien Faine. She stood, spike still in her hand. She moved to gather her stuff she had brought and headed back to the house Solace and Aurell had lived in. It was time to go.
  14. Mine is "Never Back Down" by Two Steps From Hell.
  15. It would be interesting of the Alleycity became something like the United Isles from the Rithmatist.
  16. Solace turned back to Lord Dominion and Lady Devotion. "I have completed the task you have assigned me. Now if you permit I would like to retire somewhere to rest and retire. I have used my breaths up in this task and will be aging. Something I do not want to change." "this request will be granted, of course, but there is one more thing I need you to do. Where we stand will be safe to what is to come, but there are plenty of people who will not have evacuated safely when this city is leveled. There is one you must find. A child, six years of age, she will be by her dead parents when you find her. You will take her and mentor her. You will not be able to find her until her parents are dead so do not try. When she is twenty-fifth Alley-year then you may have your desires granted but not until then." Lord Dominion said.
  17. In the beginning there was nothing. Darkness. Emptiness. A void. From that void sprung Adonalsium, creator, the first and the last, God. With his power, Adonalsium created the known Universe. He formed the planets, sun, moon and stars. He created the land and sea, the plants and animals that lived in them. Most importantly he created humans in his own image. But in every tale, myth, legend and story, greed, fear, and lust entered the hearts of men. Sixteen men and women conspired together and killed God. They divided Adonalsium’s power between themselves. These manifestations of power were called Shards, holding a specific attribute of the God they murdered. Unbenounced to the Sixteen Shards, two additional people ascended to godhood, almost by accident, these individual were the Shards Voidus and Narration. Narration travelled to a far corner of the universe, who would soon be joined by Voidus. Voidus traveled abroad, using modified Hemalurgy to spike the first splinters of Shards. In total he succeeded in spiking splinters of Cultivation, Preservation, Dominion, Devotion, Autonomy, Ambition, and Ingenuity. Voidus stumbled upon the solar system, the Alleyverse, created by Narration. Voidus bargained with Narration-though in reality Voidus did not need to-and spiked the only habitable planet, AlleyOne, with the spikes collected. Narration in turn received the promise of retaining his Shard. Voidus placed them into the center of AlleyOne. Though what occured, not even Voidus himself expected. The Spike of Cultivation, melded with the rest of the spikes. Together the grew into one single massive spike that would later become what the inhabitants of AlleyOne call the WorldSpike. Its power, corrupted or enlightened the minds of every living thing. This is how Voidus created a world dependant on Hemalurgy for survival. Thus is the creation of the of the Alleyverse and its people.
  18. "By now Elkanah, you should know I never do anything without a gain of some sort. Well by summoning the storm you advanced my plots tenfold. I do appreciate that and you of course." Solace said with a smile, disappearing for view. He reappeared on the roof and burned steel shooting up into the storm renewing his pure investiture before he ran out. Once gone he could not use it again. As he fell he transported to the Ghostblood fortress, which resided in the AlleyCity. From there he proceeded to a very secret and secure place the only could be penetrated by Voidus himself. Glowing pure white he closed his eyes. He called upon his bond with the Alleyspren, thrusting his hands outward. He hook hold of the spiritual realm with his left and the cognitive realm with his right. Investiture pored from him. He shouted adding in the surge of division, cutting the three realm he held. Not to separate them but to cut each in half as he held them. A black slit opened up in the room. He added more division and it grew wider. He stopped only when he himself could fit through. But he did not, as he knew what he created would obliterate him. He still held the realms together by an tips of his fingers. He called upon the surge of transportation seeking a large combined force once shattered by Odium. He found the shattered shards with pout much difficulty. Feeling the realms nearly slip from his grasp he called upon the combined Surges of Adhsion and Transportation to make a kind of wormhole dragging some of Dominion and Devotions power from Sel to the room Solace stood. All of the investiture left Solace and he slumped to the ground. The black slit in the air stayed present and he felt Devotion and Dominions power present. Interestingly enough two figures formed from the power. One distinctly feminine and the other masculine. "Lady Devotion, Lord Dominion, Mother, Father. Welcome to the Alleyverse. We are presently in a secure room beneath the Ghostblood fortress." "you have done well son. Done well indeed Devomin." Both figures said simultaneously. Solace lead both figures to a device on one of the walls he pulled down a microphone and spoke into it. "All ghostbloods attack. May Lord Dominion be with you. May his power fill you." And it did. The power of dominion overwhelmed his troops giving them dominion over those they faced, a Violet glow took place in their eyes.
  19. "Fine. Wait here." Solace said. He returned outside using transportation. He grabbed Storm and Kane and reteleported out grabbing Rohan and returning back to others. "You all owe me a favor for saving your lives."
  20. Solace shurged. "I took out off those giant things in about two seconds. Sure it isn't Da worthy but I could probably handle it by myself or we could just-" Solace grabbed Elkanah and Mace teleporting them inside the doorway. He slammed his body against the large aluminum blast door sealing it. "- use the surge of transportation." Solace finished. "Before you say anything I lived here too. I know most of the ways in and out of here as well as this here facility. Anyways where to? Also are you sure we wont accidentally summon the Storm in here?"
  21. "I am very aware of its name, Mace, after all I helped choose half of its name, the underground part if you are aware. Anyways let's stop lingering here and get going. We done have any time to waste. The sudden storm should give an advantage, hopefully." Solace said "after you old friend."
  22. "It turns out it is a pure form of investure. I have enough to make that storm of yours and have some left over." Solace said, deactivating his sabers and putting them on his belt. "We need a safe place to do so." He said this with a smile noting the rhythm of Elkanah.
