"Yes it is!" James said, genuine excitement flooding into his voice. He noticed Draug and Jamie pop into being just a few seconds later. "I think I could get used to this whole Uniting business" he said, as he helped Jamie to her feet. "The real question is what we do about this whole situation."

James smiled grimly, and nodded. "Out of the frying pan, and into the fire"

Suddenly it hit James. "I know how I found you!" he exclaimed, "I'm a Bondsmith- I bring the knights together! I unite them!" @Sorana @Eluvianii

"I honestly don't know" James admitted, "but I think that focusing on finding the others might draw us to them" he concluded. "Did any of you swear an Ideal?" he added, curiously.

Hey at least it isn't a vole

"Well" James said, "as for where we are, The Nightwatcher seems to believe that somehow our consciousness was dragged into Shadesmar by the Unmade" he finished with a sigh. But just as quickly he looked at her, and took her hand. "Shana- you didn't kill them. You never would. Find out what you fight for, Shana, and you have the potential to be one of the noblest warriors among us." James smiled in what he hoped was a suitably non-romantic way.

James raised his hands above his head. "Yeah, I'm pretty sure you never killed me. I'm actually here by the way" James looked at Shana, and felt a burst of extreme empathy for her. What had the poor girl gone through to be in such a state?

"Well, if this isn't Tel'aran'rhiod, I don't know what is" James said as he walked down the strangely empty road. "I honestly would love it if you stopped making Wheel of Time references." The Nightwatcher said, her usual sass returning. "Although that is an apt comparison to make, it's far more likely that this dream is somewhat embedded in Shadesmar." she continued with a shudder, "otherwise Sha-thoexis wouldn't have been able to get here- too much of me for that to work." After the Nightwatcher's largely technical explanation, James realized where they were- the house. Screams and shouts came from the backyard, and two figures emerged. Shana and Edwin. "Blood and Bloody Ashes!" James cursed "are you 2 alright?" as he ran towards them. @Sorana @Eluvianii

Well of course you'd say that, Luna

I am not surprised by the sheer magnitude of the Ravenclaw population on this website. I am also a Ravenclaw, and relate heavily to pretty much every Ravenclaw we spend time with, other than Lockhart, and especially relate to Luna's eccentric-ness

Thought ceased, something James generally wouldn't have been thankful for, but the moments of clarity allowed him to see the Nightwatcher, standing above him, a bastion against what James could only assume to be the Unmade they had been discussing. "James! Get up!" the Nightwatcher shouted. "But, I can't" James whispered- but then- another thought came to his mind- a memory ***** It was freshman year of High school, and James had been having a conversation with a good friend, Joesph, when the topic changed abruptly. "Do you think I'm good enough, Joesph? I've always prided myself on being a man of strong morals, but what if I'm off course?" James asked. Joesph laughed, "James, buddy- you are who you are, and I'm pretty dang sure it's who you're meant to be." Joesph said in all seriousness, "And knowing you has helped me find who I am supposed to be" ***** Memory faded, but James grimaced and stood up. Sha-thoexis gaped in shock. "I take responsibility for who I am, and if I am lost- I shall find myself again as a better man." The Nightwatcher smiled. These Words I accept. Stormlight filled James' body, and his eyes began to glow a deep heliodor. "Guess who's back, back again" James said, a smile on his face. Sha-thoexis let out an inhuman scream, and fled. "Well", James said, "Now that that's dealt with, we should focus our attention on finding the others. I have a hunch that this is no ordinary dream" @Eluvianii @Sorana @Lunamor @Emperor Stick @Karger @Everybody else

The Credits began to roll, and James went down immediately. He began to dream. Something is wrong James, very wrong. I shouldn't be here. The Nightwatcher sounded panicked, something that was a new experience for James. For all the mundane qualities of his usual dreams, James was inclined to agree. Yes, He sent to his spren Something is not right here. Reality Shifted. Suddenly, James stood before his own reflection- a being that was him, and yet not him at the same time. "James, James" the figure said, tsking, "We need to have a talk." James snorted, "And who are you supposed to be? My Conscience?" he asked, voice dripping with a barely concealed venom. "Not your, conscience, no, not that grandiose," the figure smiled, "Merely a voice of reason." James flinched, as an onslaught of thoughts came to him unbidden. You're a pacifist because you're a coward. Your friends will die because you won't pick up a storming blade! You will fail.Lost.Who am I? Who Am I? Who Am I?!! James fell to his knees and wept, as the figure standing above him smiled an inhuman smile, eyes glowing a deep red. "Now then, I knew you'd see reason." Sha-thoexis said, "Now let me take away that confusion. I will ease your sufferings" Beside James, a vaguely humanoid figure of emerald green manifested. "You will not claim him, Void. I claim him- he will be my boon to Humanity." The Nightwatcher responded, as the spren attempted to shield James from the Voidish onslaught. @Anybody (James can't hold on forever)

The Girl Who Looked Up (Extended Version)
Wyndlerunner replied to Lunamor's topic in Sanderson Fan Works
Luna, I'm gonna have to ask you to please stop hurting my heart. -
It seems Brandon is coming to Germany
Wyndlerunner replied to Nivallo's topic in Events and Signings
He'll sign as many as you want, but generally he only personalizes one (So for instance, you can get him to write "For [insert name here], followed by either a short message, or a quote of Brandon's choosing.) Also write down your questions, because trust me, you will forget them when you see him. -
I used to be fully a unova hater, but the story is growing on me as I've matured in story tastes. I do however, find that Unova pokemon tend to be my least favorite overall. Oshawott and the Snivy line are top tier though. Diamond was my first game in case you're wondering.

The Wheel of Time is a long (and sometimes winding) road, so you're in for a journey. It's perfectly fine to feel anxious about a series like this- a lot of people who I've recommended the series to IRL have cited concerns with length as their primary reason for not picking it up. To quote Portal: "The Cake Covers are a lie." They did a recent paperback reprint of the series with a lot more accurate covers. You mentioned you like audiobooks so I'm going to assume you're listening to them so: Michael Kramer and Kate Reading (the same duo who read Stormlight) are absolutely brilliant (and pronounce everything correctly for the most part) Now here's the fun part, my general premise of what the series is: Tolkien meets Arthurian legends meets a healthy dose of Eastern Philosophy and influence. This meets Hogwarts+ political intrigue, on steroids. A love square, a magic system that somehow simultaneously manages to be hard and soft, and battles so viscerally written that you can tell RJ served in Vietnam. Incredibly fleshed out characters with incredibly fleshed out relationships, conspiracies, and a large dose of plotting, scheming, and undermining by the baddies. Hope my answers helped- If all goes well, you will be one of the first people I've talked to about starting WoT to actually start it.

Well, this isn't necessarily inactivity as much as it is heavily reduced activity, but I here honor the great @Firerust, one of the best people I have had the pleasure to interact with in my life.
