Hearing the sound of rushing wind above him, Rashan looked up to see a man carrying an abnormally large gun jumping between rooftops, away from the dead rock. That gun... Yes. It seemed only it could do so much damage, so quickly. Cursing that he had had his Steel taken away, Rashan imprinted a mental image of the assassin. He couldn't believe his eyes. Mace. A man Rashan had previously tried to assassinate, ran those rooftops, before he was out of sight. Right then, and there, Rashan realised something. His goal. He'd failed to kill Mace once. He wouldn't fail a second time.

As he tried to get Soul ( @Life&Death ) to charge at him, Rashan idly looked out of the window to see Voidus in pieces, in a pool of blood. Without thinking what caused it Rashan ran out of the bar door, trying to put the pieces back together. No, no, no. Rashan was no healer. He killed. He didn't even know what the various healing magics were called. Chromium would not help this situation. But it was too late. Something told Rashan that his master was dead. Bowing in respect, Rashan vowed to kill whomever had done this. And then he saw the spikes. The twin pieces of metal that gave Voidus his powers. Rashan held both in his hand, before pocketing them. Perhaps they would come in handy.

Rashan saw Voidus hanging outside the bar, staying still. Voidus, he mentally pinged the rock. I get how you might not exactly be the most proud about my actions, but I assure you with my life it was the right thing to do. See? This sort of spontaneity is why I'm not a full Elsecaller yet. Here's hoping. Besides, what are you doing outside of the bar anyway? Why are you just sitting there? D'you see anything? Mayb- Rashan was interrupted by Soul attempting to stab him. Storms, again? Rashan sighed before throwing his drink at Soul, attracting his attention, before positioning himself so that he was between Soul and the door, hoping that the angered Soul would charge at him.

Rashan puffed out, exhausted. "Storm you all," he mumbled as he went and sat on a broken barstool. The bar was heavily destroyed, plants were everywhere and beer lay catatonic on the floor. He'd just done his job. Sometimes people behaved violently to it. Oh well. It was the way of the Ghostblood. Things happened. But at least he'd done his job. Seeing the bartender was gone, Rashan stole another cup of root beer. He was probably going to be banned anyway. So he drank, admist the aftermath of the chaos, he drank.

Rashan squirmed as he was flung into the wall, his enemy leeching his stormlight. Steel, stormlight, they were all gone. But not his (arguably) weakest power. Not his chromium. With a yell Rashan grabbed onto his enemy, leeching their metals before he was hit by Soul, flying towards him. Rashan downed another vial and leeched his stormlight too, throwing them both to the wall. Suddenly, Rashan felt a blast of emotion, a compulsion to stop his fighting. He turned to the man who had shouted. What was his name again? "Yeah," Rashan said, puffing. "Yeah, you heard the man. Enough. We could fight more, but I'm not exactly in the mood to kill more people."

Rashan looked at the soulcast mug in disappointment. “Soulcasting? Really? Out of all the magics you had at your disposal, you chose the one I understand greatly to threaten me? Ya know, Voidus once tried to soulcast me into fire as part of my training, I think I can handle you.” Rashan raised a casual hand, breathing stormlight in, and turned his opponents clothes into electrum, pinning them onto the ground. He’d seen that move in a duel somewhere, and he’d always wanted to try it out.

Rashan looked back to see the man who he had dumped in shadesmar back in the bar. ”Storms!” Rashan knew not what would happen if he was restrained. He wasn’t in the mood of finding out. He still held his gun, a simple revolver, but he didn’t use it. No more dead bodies. @Hydra @Life&Death

Rashan fell to the ground, kind of shocked at being thrown so easily. Remembering Voidus was in vicinity of him, Rashan elsecalled, transporting him and his opponent into the cognitive ocean, the only difference being Rashan could transport back. Storms. While Rashan could do that trick again, he couldn’t actually elsecall anywhere. Land was sea and sea was land, so elsecalling would just leave him drowned without his steel. He turned to face his other opponents, Steel out of the question. ”I was just doing my job,” he said, cautiously. “If you’re going to kill me, do it with Honour.”

Rashan lifted his hands slowly and behind his back as three people crowded the doorway ready to attack. They were probably vastly more powerful than him. As they entered and surrounded him, pushing the dead body at his feet aside, Rashan was surrounded. The barkeep was among those who were trapping him. Damnation, Kothar? Rashan had to do his job, but Kothar had to do his. Storms, but Rashan liked this man's bar. He would probably be banned. "Sorry," Rashan said. But before they could strike him down, Rashan tapped Steel. In a gust of wind Rashan erupted from the study, leaving a trail of air behind him. As he entered the main bar lobby, he as shocked to see more people ready to kill him. "Look!" He said, hoping to get a word out before the people from the other room came. "I was just doing my job, I have no other intentions of killing the rest of you! If you want to catch me, however.." Rashan said as he stepped back. "You're all going to be a bit too slow." Rashan zoomed out of the bar, hoping that there wasn't a Steelrunner in there.

Challenge of Champions: Rashan V Cuthbert

Rashan was feral. He tore the enemy apart, ripping them into ribbons. He'd won, it was over. Rashan stopped, curious. But why was he still flaking? The answer was obvious. The magic was still active. His enemy was still alive. Rashan turned, bloodshot eyes glaring, glaring at the doll he'd destroyed at the beginning of the duel. His opponent had been able to swap minds between them before, what was keeping them from doing that now? Rashan tried to run but he realised he would never make it in time. He was going to die, to wither away. He had nothing else to lose. Rashan supertapped what was left of his steel in a moment, exhausting his entire steel supply. As he appeared right beside his enemy he was frustrated to see that yes, they were still alive. And Rashan was dying! They were in he centre of the arena now, where their battle had begun. Eyes alight, Rashan brought out his second weapon in his other hand, a long chain with a small blade attached to its end. This was it, his last gambit. His final attack. Better make it good, then. With a roar Rashan swung the chain-balde at his opponent. Though he missed hitting them with the sharp point he still managed to wrap the chain around them, and as he reeled his opponent in absurdly close Rahsan brought his short-sword in his other hand and stabbed it through their chest. Here they both were, mere milo meters from each other. Rashan held the chain-blade in one hand, binding his opponent by the waist. He held his sword in the other, piercing through his enemy's chest. Rashan stored Steel. It was odd, he'd never actively stored steel in an battle. But as Rashan's movement slowed greatly, he was pleased to notice from the corner of his eye that he had stopped flaking. Well, not stopped, but slowed, incredibly. Right now, Rashan was but 1/1000th of his normal speed, and so the flakes had slowed down as well. Rashan (slowly) curled his mouth into a thin smile as his opponent writhed, bound by his chain and stabbed by his sword.

Rashan ripped the aluminium sword out of his opponent, and as he tried to attempt a backswing his opponent disappeared, reappearing on the other side of the arena. Storms, Rashan didn't have time for this. He was dying! Slowly, but surely. He watched as another couple pieces of him flaked off, creating a sort of cloud. Rashan looked towards his opponent in desperation as he tried to run towards them, not tapping steel, for he wanted to save that, leaving a trail of flakes behind him. He was going to die if he didn't kill his enemy fast. His opponent knew that, so instead of attacking, they tried to survive. At last, Rashan arrived at his enemy, but was shocked to see a golden wall of light separating them. Rashan banged on the wall, longing to get in and attack. Shouldn't his opponent have been dead by now? He looked to see them barely standing, which was remarkable considering what Rashan had done. Rashan banged again on the wall, each second and second too late. At last, an idea struck Rashan. Burning Chromium, Rashan rested his hands on the shield, and, for the first time in his life, Rashan flared it, watching in satisfaction as the shield dissalated. This was it. Rashan was no longer himself. He was an animal, slowly dying. Rashan's choices were driven by instinct now, the urge to destroy, to kill, to Ruin. With an predatory ROAR Rashan pounced at his enemy. He had to win. Win or die. Fight or flight. Kill or be killed. He tapped Steel, more than he should have, easily closing the distance as he he slowly pressed his opponent to the wall, before attacking, sword slashing, Steel tapping. There wasn't enough room to dodge. There wasn't enough time to dodge. Rashan felt he was going to win, but oddly, he wasn't smiling.

Good luck taking them down when no guild will accept you. -
Rashan twisted the sword inside of his enemy, watching them writhe in pain. He felt bad he had to do this, but it was the only way to finish the fight. His opponent had a gaping hole in their body. The enemy stood. What? That was impossible! The hole in his opponent remained, so there was no healing taking place. His opponent should have been down! Rashan stared in disbelief just before his opponent stood and grabbed Rashan's neck in a swift motion, eyes alight with hate. It was a one handed grab, and his enemy was still on fire, so it was weakened, but not so much so that it didn't hurt. Strangulation sucked. But that wasn't the worst. As Rashan fumbled to get the hand off of him, he noticed it glowing with a sickening red light, the colour of blood. Rashan didn't need to know what magic it was to deduce it probably won't as the the nicest attack, and just as Rashan ripped the hand off of his arm the redness fired, hitting Rashan point-black. He was too late. While he had defending himself against his opponent's hand, he had still been hit by its magic. Slowly, Rashan felt something tingle. His fingers. He looked down to see that at the tips, they were flaking, small parts of him ripping off and flying into the wind. It was a slow process, but Rashan felt it on the tip of his ears as well, and down his legs and arms. It wasn't painful, but it was killing Rashan, flaking him soon to nothing. "What did you do?" He asked his opponent demanding answers. His opponent said nothing. "What did you do?!" He repeated, still flaking off. No answer. "WHAT DID YOU DO?!" Rashan roared at his opponent, who said nothing, taking a step back before lunging at Rashan. Rahsan only had a split second to see something glinting in the sunlight, something shiny. Something sharp. Rashan ducked, tapping steel, feeling the dagger cut off the top most part of his hair. Barely thinking, Rashan, still tapping steel, rolled underneath his opponent, weaving through their legs and came up behind them, before grabbing hold of the sword that pierced their backside by the sides, and pulling it, ripping it out of his opponent, who now had an empty hole where the sword had once been.
