    Lusk blinked when he realised she was talking about Max. “Well, thank you for saying you wouldn’t intrude then immediately intruding,” Lusk said tiredly. Maybe a year ago he would have said with more ego. “But I don’t think I remember mocking Nolastna— Max at all. He’s simply been someone who works under me. What do you seem to be saying?” Lusk narrowed his eyes and stood up a little straighter. Rusting Nolastname. “And it seems a little curious that an ambitious Ghostblood like him would marry the Righthand of the same organisation. Eager for a promotion, huh?” He said with a suppressed grin. He still had a little of the spirit left in him. “But of course, I bet he still says he loves you.”

    Lusk turned to somebody speaking to him. He raised an eyebrow at a woman decked in sunglasses and long-sleeved clothes. “Yes?” He said. Then it clicked. The Righthand. Lusk hadn’t known she was in the wedding. He had been focusing on Nolastname. “Oh, hello Ms. Tenira,” he said. “What did you want to say?”

    A kid, maybe 16, ran to the court. He was paling for what to do next. “Hello, Queen,” he said, taking out a piece of paper and reading what was scrawled on it. “I would like to challenge you to your throne, which I deserve.” He became as white as the snow surrounding him, and began shaking slightly. Of course. Truth or dare. And of course he’d picked dare. And of course his friend had chosen the worst thing for him to do.

    An underling ran into the room and sat on one of the GB seats next to Ciera, it was clear from his face he was terrified of everyone here. “Hi, everyone, I am Wes, though you can call me Wes for short. Um, unfortunately our other GB representative, Mr. Uwik is off today for some sort of wedding and our backup for his place, Mr. Tenira is also away for the same wedding. So, uh, now there’s me, and I know I technically decided to be the third backup but I really wasnr expecting it to happen. So, hi everyone. I’m Wes. I’m also a Bendalloy Ferring, though I don’t like to brag.”

    Max nodded, returning the grin. “Yeah, the whole idea of having a kid, your kid, is well... I don’t know how to describe it. Amazement, I guess. Like how you put it.” He wondered what Anthony meant by Awoke. Was that when he stopped being evil? He thought about what Anthony had said, that he loved Tena even if she was over-protective, and smiled. That was the sign of a good couple. “You and Tena seem really happy together,” he said. “You guys deserve it. This is your wedding day, so have fun!” He laughed. “This day only comes once.” *** Lusk just sort of hung around. He wanted to talk to the couple, but it seems they were talking with others. Did no one want to talk with him? Classical. Of course. Without a doubt. He wandered the wedding. “Hello, everyone,” he said, though no one really turned their head in his direction. “How are you?” He said to no one, his voice becoming quieter. “I’m an Atium ferring, in case you’re into that sort of thing.” But no one listened. And Lusk felt empty.

    Max nodded, leaning against an empty table. “Yeah, it’s been going great. We just had our first anniversary a short while ago, which was amazing, and we’ve found a house near Alleycity that we’ve moved into. It’s great. But,” he moved to pat Anthony on the shoulder before realising how tall he was. “This is about your wedding, man. How’s it like with you and Tena?”

    This is all well and good, but what if you don’t have a head? I find this phrase to be discriminatory to the headless folk out there.

    Lusk smiled and stepped forward, relying on his cane to keep him up. His year at the hospital had still left his once-athletic physique instact, but he was noticeably weaker than before. “I only taught him everything he knew about Rioting,” he said. “That was Devaan,” Max said, tense. “Oh, I taught you the real stuff,” Lusk said. His eyes gleamed. You locked me in a cupboard underwater, Max wanted to say. Until I could Riot an innocent Spiked man to swim and let me out. The man had drowned, and Max had lived, and Lusk had clapped. But instead, he sighed, glancing apologetically at the couple. “I’m sorry, I don’t mean to be a downer.” He smiled. “We have personal issues, though I’m surprised he hasn’t managed to make a personal enemy of everyone in this wedding yet.” He Rioted a bit more happiness subtly around the wedding, if only to distract himself.

    Lusk was left bewildered as the couple ignored him and went to greet Nolastname and.., his wife? Nolastname had a wife? Oh, he had to see this. As he followed the groom to Nolastname, he waved from behind and smiled. Max in turn began to look very uncomfortable. *** Max waited with Althea, and when Anthony arrived hs smiled. “Never been better,” he replied. “What about you? Congratulations on the marriage.” He said the last line to both of them, looking at Tena as well. “You know -” he was cut off as Lusk appeared in the distance, waving at Max. Max clenched his teeth. “Sorry,” he said to Anthony and Tena quickly. “I didn’t know when you guys said you’d invite everyone, you’d even invite... people like him.”

    I don’t think there are many weaknesses that go over 50, let alone 70. Maybe trauma? If he sees a specific something he’s incapacited? It can’t be a rare something otherwise it won’t Ben much of a weakness. Maybe he’s got some sort of weakness to some magic? Maybe magic healing doesn’t work as well on him, or maybe he’s vulnerable to emotional Allomancy.
